  1. Dissapointing new but right decision, wouldnt be interested in watching a set of riders riding with no relationship to the clubs

    Setanta - Polish Speedway

Riders get strung out on our tidlers too. Polish speedway is light years better than the elite league and as the tracks are larger they can put more dirt down. without it becoming dangerousl

    Riders Who Span Decades

Saw Bobby riding a few weeks ago in California still getting to main finals, so must be in the frame.

    Ian Champion

Definitely one of their heat leaders, thought to be the key signing. I think John Poyser was the Captain though.

    Favorite Away Track-what Is Yours?

Custom House (West Ham) with Hyde Road (Belle Vue) close behind. Best track to visit Exeter everybody so friendly there. Worst track probably Bristol

    Classic Speedway Magazine

Like the idea of concentrating on the 50's and 60's., already put in my order. Started watching speedway in the mid 60s and with a lot of the 50.s heroes still riding in that time, this looks like it will cover the riders I saw in my early most exiting days watching speedway. Whilst reading about the early days is interesting, there is no connection to make it real. To have a magazine devoted to the time and covering the characters I can relate to in the best times I had watching the sport is really great

    Your All-time Hero..and Why

Just seen this havent checked back in a whilte. It was definitely Cordy Milne but New Cross was his local team. I probably just assumed he rode for them. Dads long gone unfortunately so cant check.

    Your All-time Hero..and Why

My all time favourite was Ronnie Moore a true gentleman who could do things with a speedway bike I never seen since, and I only saw him on his second coming. He was one of the very few riders I would go to other tracks just to see him ride and the only other pre 70's rider I did that for was Jimmy Gooch a real character with a real laid back style who would try right to the end. My dad's hero was Cordy Milne of New Cross but thats well before my time
