Would you care to expand on what "Newport wanted this year" please. As a loyal Newport fan I would love to hear this.

According to the official Newport Wasps website the final rider is named as Mical Rajaowski. Having spoken with Tim tonight, he is happy for the Disco/Karaoke after the meeting to continue as long as enough people are still around in the bar, but as most people have work the next day (including me) I would imagine that it may not be that late - but who knows!!!!!!.

For those who might be interested I spoke with Tim at training school yesterday, and we have decided to put on a disco (and karaoke for those still able to speak) immediately after the New Year Classic has finished. It is also hoped that we will be able to interview some of the riders during the disco. No finish time was discussed - this will be confirmed shortly.

Whenever there is an event held at the Millennium Stadium, whether its sport or a concert, all the hotels in Cardiff increase their prices accordingly. The first year they probably didn't do it because speedway was relatively new to the area and the hotels probably didn't realise how many people would be attending. If you book a hotel in Cardiff for a weekend when there is no event being held at the Millennium Stadium the price is reasonable.
