Well done Bomber! -
Excellent to see the promotion have liostened to the complaints. Well done all involved... Lets hope the improvements are noticed tonight
-
I've done Harris over 6 and Fisher +6 v Watt tonight, if Hans is out they should both have 6 rides
-
The words ", except where the MA of the introduced Rider is equal to, or lower than the Rider being replaced" suggests that there is nothing to stop someone replacing a second string with a traditional heatleader. Using a different team as an example, before the Poole fans get all defensive, If Howarth benefits as a second string, and raises his average high enough to bring someone such as Freddie Lindgren in (I know it's a ridiculous situation, im just using them as examples) then there appears to be nothing in the rules to stop it, which seems a little silly. Next year may be even more farcical when team building, if certain riders stay at second string, then riders such as Lindgren and others who do not ride over here this year could be on comparable averages.I hope the BSPA have plans in place to stop this sort of thing

Woodward over 6 paid out, but my Fisher v Klindt and Bjarne v Garritty bets have been voided. Bizarre!
-
even IF (and its a big if) the motor sports are safe, the club should be actively seeking out a contingency plan and this will hopefully be a good kick up the backside for them to do so. It is no good whinging about the big bad football club ruining the speedway team, the site is up for sale. If the football club doesn't buy it, then someone else could easily come along and decide to knock the stadium down. The club need to do some research as to if there is anywhere else in the area that they could run

Excellent move for both Lakeside and Bridger. Lewis will no doubt revel in riding for the club that Lee was last at, and hopefully him and Mr Hagon have sorted out their differences and will be back on board with each other
-
I was never a huge fan of Lewis, until he signed for Coventry in 2010, when he impressed me with his attitude, and despite the trouble that has followed him previously, he seems to have grown up a lot lately, and kept his nose clean. Would be a shame to lose such a talent to the sport, but with a child on the way, i can understand why he would be considering it, if he isnt making any money out of it. As someone said previously, it would be nice if Hagon Shocks picked him up again, we all know they've had their fallings out, but Hagon was a big sponsor of Rico, and Lewis seems to have learnt a hell of a lot from Rico, and is desperate to do well for him

World Cup - Too Frequent? Alternatives.
beesboybert replied to The White Knight's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
NO NO NO NO NO NO LEAVE THE WORLD CUP AS IT IS! It's easily the best event of the year, provides big crowds, and top top racing. To change it would be madness -

The whole night seemed to me that the new Owners are trying to run as tight a ship as possible, possibly too tight. It was as if they had prepared for the worst and didnt want to over spend on things such as programmes so reduced their estimations. The Track shop didnt appear fully ready (although the range of merchandise was certainly a lot better and deserves praise, especially the Wallpapers, they're a cracking idea) The whole night was pretty poor though, even from the very start with the big wait for Greg to be paraded on his own. On the back straight there were Kids lying on the steps asleep, thats not going to encourage the families to come back, especially as if they were new fans they are unlikely to know that a normal league meeting will be over quicker. The referree couldve been a bit more stringent with the two minute warning too, there were big gaps between the previous race ending and that going on. The drinks in the bar were terrible too, and very flat. The track wasnt great, but it's always difficult to produce a goodun when it's as cold as it was. All in all it made what couldve been a great event feel somewhat of a let down. I can't make the next two meetings, so won't be back until the Poole meeting on good Friday, I hope it will have improved by then -

Summers, Lanham, Roynon, Bunyan, Bager, Number 8 and AN other? May as well give our team extra track time -
2:30 according to Paul Burbidge on twitter yesterday. How long it will last is anybodys guess
-
The sad thing is, Rory Schlein said he had his tested last night, but the Ref (not the machnine examiner) was testing it and didnt have a clue what he was looking for
-
Makes you wonder if this is why Eddie pulled out of the reserve gig at Cardiff... He may have known that the bikes wouldve been under extra scrutiny at a GP and therefore he was more likely to be found out?
