Looks like Premier/Freesports have ditched coverage of Thursday's meeting. There's not even a delayed version although they are showing repeats of previous meetings. There's nothing on Box Nation.

There's nothing on the Premier or Freesports schedule nor anything now showing on Virgin Media's programme guide.

NHL ice hockey has resumed . I'm sure we'll still get the normally scheduled meetings but it's very disappointing.

    Mr.Goddard, can you conform please?

    He tweeted this earlier today

Don't forget #speedway fans we will have more Polish coverage for you on @PremierSportsTV this THURSDAY evening at 7pm, with the restaged match between

Exactly the issue I get in Portugal, even living here for so long.

Other big issue is all my self employed work is dealing with English people.

Then you go into a shop or somewhere, speak Portuguese, they clock you are English straight away in many cases and those that can speak English back.

English is continuing to grow though popular culture as you say. Only the kids movies are dubbed into Portuguese here, the rest are all shown in English with subtitles. Most Portuguese I know hate the dubbed ones and prefer the original English version.

Add that to the youngsters growing up 'online'. Here they meet and converse with people from all round the world and the common language is almost always English.

The Scandinavian countries tend to do the same with the TV programmes shown in English with subtitles.

Do like some on the Swedish words as they seem quite descriptive like all hearts day for Valentines day and heart starter for defibrillator

Live streaming is coming. But not from all clubs sadly

Also if what I'm told is right TV coverage of the british league wont be on BT next year. But will be on eurosport

If that is correct would there be any likelihood on speedway being shown on Quest as Eurosport does sometimes show their sports on Quest?

Torun management are once again playing games. It is rumored they are confident of staying in the Ekstraliga next year, because Lublin could be thrown out of the league. Lublin allegedly has not done enough durign this year to bring their stadium up to Ekstraliga level. Torun expect that Lublin's Ekstraliga license will be revoked for next year and Lublin be directly relegated to Liga 1, instead of Torun. Not sure if there is much evidence behind this rumors, but knowing the past record of the Torun club's management, they are up to anything and everything to gain an advantage (remember their attempted bribary in the Promotion/Relegation matches against Gdansk a couple of years ago). Some say that Torun is the headquarter of the Polish Speedway Mafia. Who knows?

There was a story with extraliga chairman on Sportowe Fakty about a week a go saying Lublin could have licence issues due to stadium

This was followed by Gorzow sending a letter complaining the track in Lublin

So tonight at Poole it was announced that Poole are away at Swindon on 22 August despite it not being listed in the programme. Any confirmation Swindon fans?

Rearranged after the cup matches against Belle Vue were set as 12th Sept & 19th Sept
