  1. Well two defeats to Home defeats to Rye in the same season, to my mind the worst season for injuries and results since my first tigers season in 1980 when both Wyer and Wilson were sidelined for long periods with broken legs. Tigers finished with the wooden spoon in the old british league, the only silver lining to that season was the arrival of a certain Shawn Moran. Congratulations to Rye who looked up for it and wanted it more, the number of races they were at the starting gate doing their gardening was a credit to them and Uncle Len!

"Richard Hall rode at 4 all last season, and at home he was by long way our best rider at home yet he never feature in a heat 13 when we were coming up against some pretty formidable pairings." Its a fair point spinny but Im pretty sure Ive read on here that it was his wish as captain to ride at 4. Now you know as well a I do that 4 is out in the easier heat 14 rather than 13 and being in Heat 14 must make slightly more difficult to be selected for 15!

Halls trouble is that he never seems dialed in on in his first ride(s), usually resulting in a heat advantage to the away team which last season put too much pressure on his team mates. Whilst his blasts from the back are exciting to watch, the team set up last season really needed a skipper who won the race on the first corner (aka Ricky A). To me the preseason team management change was the main reason for the weak team, this season therefore we expect better!
  5. Agree with Thrid Man Only riders I would like to see from this years team in the 2013 Tigers team The miscreant - Who has been consistent all year unlike some of his more "senior" colleages ! Joe Haines - Been a pleasure to see him return to his best and I would think theres more to come. Scrammy - Chris always seemed one of those riders who would never get our "little trick track" even when he seemed to be scoring well everywhere else. Been great to see him prove me wrong and would like to see what he would be like for a full season.
