My son is doing a school project on Speedway, predominantly Eastbourne Eagles.

Can you please by explaining the statistics?

On the Eastbourne Eagles site are the headers in a table that read;

M R P B GSA, Ave. 1st 2nd 3rd 4th R and Ex.

I get what the 1st 2nd etc stands for as with R but can you please help out with the others.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ultimate Trupms

i have noted below the remaining deffinitions for you and your son, i hope his project goes well.

M= Meetings ( also referred to as matches sometimes).

R = Rides

P= Points

B= Bonus Points (get this if you finish behind a team mate who finishes 1st or 2nd, you dont get this is you finish 4th, ie team mate finishes 3rd)

GSA= Green Sheet Average(official rolling average for team building, excludes bonus points)

Ave= Average(includes bonus points and for current season only)

R=Retirements ( i.e engine failure and fail to finish race, sometimes noted as RET)

 Ex=Exclusions/Excluded (new term is actually disqualification/disqualified but many still refer to excluded) this is if you cause a race to be stopped before the finish.

also there is a few more terms that you may see so i have listed these below as well

CMA= calculated match average (same figure as the “average” description above but you will see CMA more often probably)

EF=engine failure

T=Tapes Exlussion

M=2 minute exlcusion

TS=Tactical Subsitute

Res\Rev= Reserve Replacement

R\R=Rider Replacement

IRR=Injury Rider Replacement

If you need any more info pleae post and and sure we can help out with any queries.

thanks
