  1. Considering what weather they have had up north Scunny did really well to get this meeting running, conditions did make alot of the racing a procession, that's hardly the riders or the tracks staffs fault though. Apart from the damned cold wind enjoyed getting my pre-season fix & hope for more at n Newport next week. Well done to Doolan, very well done to Jerran Hart. There we're alot of withdrawals & possibly alot of that was down to the cold effecting machinery etc. I think Carl Wilkinson wasn't to happy with any of the assistance he got during Heat 10, firstly from Millsy, who made a right pig's ear of 2nd bend forcing him down & secondly from the track staff, don't blame him for trudging off. To cap it all the instigator of it all went & won the re-run. No fire extinguisher on the centre green, why? As someone has said that could have been Ben & not just his bike, not good enough. Jim McGregor decision there too, well, words fail me. The crowd made their feelings known on that too. Apart from that, muchly fun.

    Len Silver Book

I waited before i bought this book as a little dicky bird gave me an idea it may just be under the crimbo tree........................and so it was. I will finish reading Jeff's "Quantum of Shale" then "As luck would have it" will get my full attention. Looking forward to reading the story of a true showman.
  3. Thanks Richard, looking forward to the meeting

    Ben Fund Meeting

That was exactly my thought, sharing this meeting around the tracks would be a nice gesture from those working hard for a deserved cause.
  10. Can't you read matey it isn't the ELRC it's the ERC, that's Elite Riders Championship not Elite League Riders Championship, as has been made very clear. All those Elite Riders in the PL , wonderful
  11. Would much rather see EL top 9 plus N Pedersen, Crump, Hancock, Sayfutdinov etc. No disrespect to PL there are some great riders in there. Having say Doolan, Ashworth etc though isn't in the same league, as i said Starman you're demoting the event. After all the moaning about reserves in this years meeting to come up with that is .............. words fail me.
  12. I agree with that, if it gives fans a once a year chance to see say Nicki P or Tomasz Gollob as an example then why wouldn't fans want to see that.
  13. just making a point my dear.
  14. A great looking line-up so far & good to see some Bees in there including the reining champ. Tanya mentions the traditional riders at this event, does that mean we'll see Bomber in the line-up also along with few others like Leigh Lanham & Ricky Ashworth.

That's just it isn't it. This is Bomber's big chance to prove he has got what it takes, his last chance probably. Nobody on here has considered that Chris himself might feel that way too. Nobody has said that Chris might think he's gonna need time out if he can't get in the top 8 this time, the same way as Nicholls has been honest about it this year.

This failure is all the more reason to back him to turn his GP form around Rob, not sure of the reason why BA left his pit crew, but Bomber needs him back, wouldn't you agree.

Lindback hasn't earnt a chance cos he failed in the qualifiers, yes he has done 2 GP's in 2009 & was superb but couldn't do it when it mattered. Miedzinski is a very very long shot in any case.

    2010 Grand Prix wildcards

Well it had to be Hans & Freddie really didn't it. It was just a question of who would be the other 2 nominated riders. There was always going to be at least 1 brit in there & Chris is British Champion as well as being the next rider in line after Freddie at the GP Challenge so there you have it, like it or lump it. I have said that i think Tai needs another year & i stand by that, i just hope that this opportunity is the making of him rather than the ruin of him as we've seen with others, for his sake & for his dad's sake. Who else would i have put in instead? Zagar or G Laguta. Anyway, that's just my opinion & good luck to all 4.
  24. So you'll definetly be having it off.
