  1. Once again a very entertaining meeting apart form the terrace fracas at the end.

these so called spedway fans started pushing and shoveing near to a young lady who had a small baby in a pram and

should be ashamed of themselfs they have no place at speedway they should be banned icon_evil.gif well done Buxton a great result with only five riders biggrin.gif

I walked past two blokes arguing on the steps close to the office; can't have been that, surely? Hardly a fracas (on reflection it was barely an argument).

I saw someone being held back by others, so someone was trying to 'go at it'

OK. Near the office? It must have picked up a bit once I was safely out of range. smile.gif

Right i'm gonna ask the question straight out.

If anyone here knows or seen the lout that grabbed me by the throat, threw me to the floor & pinned me down whilst hurling abuse please PM me or contact Nigel Pearson at Dudley with any information.

The actions of this individual we're entirely unprovoked.

This individual needs to be cast out of the sport which we love, there is no place in speedway for thugs like him

    Thank you.

    CC

  2. Well you may need a skin full tommorrow can not see you get close at all . Panthers have a better chance but it about the tac rides they could used if 10 down and 12 . This is the biggest meeting for both sides for many years . wink.gif

many years, crikey bees we're in the play off's last year Panthers we're last there in 2007, so hardly.

  3. Just a few things of note

Firstly. Well done Denmark, thoroughly worthy victory. I've never seen Michael Jepsen Jensen race before but have seen his scores on the continent, get him signed somebody cos that boy is dynamite.

Secondly, the Polish Ref. Why is Wojacek still on the F.I.M list after his appalling display at Cardiff the other year. In this meeting he was even worse, holding the tapes way, way too long, causing exclusions & causing delays & on top of that 1st bend incidents that should've been all 4 back.

and finally.... the ever consistent bugbear of Rye House Speedway, dust.

What was it that caused all the incidents, a slick track with lots of DUST

what was it that caused the bowser to come out after nearly every race, a slick track with lots of DUST

so why did this meeting, that should've taken 2 & a half hours to run max take over a bloody hour longer, yes you guessed it Mr Silver's hallowed bloody DUST.

Thankfully the company of some very good freinds & a certain Mr Peasley stopped me nodding off.

  4. Just one point i'd like to make. Holta was rightly annoyed about Gollob getting that point in the semi, he should've gone for that just as he did in Mallila 2 weeks ago.

15 years ago Gollob got a smack in the gob for a similar move.

.......and what was Grodzky playing at excluding AJ, race had continued & AJ only penalised himself through no fault of his own or Crumpie's. Buffoon

  5. Shhhh, it's supposed to be a secret. icon_smile_wink.gificon_smile_tongue.gificon_smile_tongue.gif

And the racing was a lot better than one or two on here have indicated. It was fine, and actually got better as the meeting progressed.

There was enough dirt on the track to allow racing right up until the re-run of the 28th race, when Lyons changed lines to pass Fisher on the third bend.

    All the best

    Rob

Rob mate i had no idea you we're such a groovy dude. Shake yer ass.biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

  6. A good point... but then there is the roote cause as to why the other nations want to practice? Do their respective organisations insist in order to be selected again? Do their respective organisations pay them to do so via sponsorship? Joking apart all those that represented Team GB are professionals, but also business people in their own right.. maybe that is the problem? unsure.gif

Another problem is track time as i said, that is down to respective clubs. As far as i know there's only scunthorpe & king's lynn that give that regular in the UK.

  7. Let's all ask ourselves why we are behind as far as The Poles, Danes & Swedes are concerned.

Practice is the answer, whenever they are not racing they can all practice in their home country.

We moan about it over here don't we, that riders are missing because of it, but the end product is what we see at a world stage.

All our British lads should get the same privileges here, then maybe we'll make progress, we need the young lads doing that otherwise we will go backwards & never be on a par with these nations.

The 5 that represented us last week all deserve some credit, they got us to the final when everyone was saying the Aussies would win & they weren't that far away from gaining something, but Tai apart all those riders aren't the future they're only the present, those that are the future need to practice constantly to improve,it works for Poland,Sweden & Denmark & all these Aussie kids that come over here, that's the reason why they're as good as they are, even though we know nothing about them 'til they're here. TIme for British Speedway Promoters to sort it out for Lads like Tai, Barker, Auty, Craig Cook, Kyle Hughes to name a few.

  8. I thought that was a good race meeting & the weather made the track slightly better than the usual slick as a baby's botty stuff you get from Vojens.

Well done to the Poles, in fact well done to all 4 nations.

Getting this on must have been tough so everyone deserves credit for that, even Ole Olsen.icon_smile_shock.gif

As for The Brits, well it's progress from where we have been the last 5 years so we can take credit for that, everyone mucked in on & off the track & that's what you need, we we're 1 joker ride away from a medal, that's how far we've come. Next year, 1 step further.

For the Rob Lyon knockers, he's got us alot further than others have with these riders so don't knock him. He's getting us there & he's making our riders believe in themselves.

  9. We always knew Vojens would be slick, not ideal but why moan about it everyone just has to deal with what's in front of them.

Glad the Aussies have gone if only for the sake of Darcy's silly little boy's comments, for what it's worth, Rooboy has been a real trooper tonight.

  10. Amazing how remarkably uninformed or blinkered some can be.

The EL needs to get it's shop in order, most of it isn't a spectacle it's gate & go dross, thankfully at Brandon we now have a curator on the track that can possibly improve things slightly, at least what i seen on Friday suggested so.

This wouldn't be the norm though it would be the exception apart from 1 or 2 other circuits.

I've seen PL & NL racing this year & in previous seasons & have come away wishing to return rather than returning by force of habit.

Those that say EL tracks are the best & PL shouldn't have F.I.M licenses are really just EL snobs to be frank.

    ATB

    CC Elite league regular.

  11. Well that was fantastic, particularly after the dross that we witnessed at Gorzow.

You could see all the riders we're enjoying that track, each & every one of them we're giving it everything.

This is what speedway is all about, fast & furious, when riders can overtake in those situations you know how good it is.

I'm over the moon we are in the final, i'm not to sure we would've got there had we had to do the race-off, you know what Vojens is & we are not at our best on a track like that.

So take a bow to CHRIS HARRIS SCOTT NICHOLLS LEE RICHARDSON TAI WOFFINDEN & SIMON STEAD.
