Rye House V Workington... 5th July, 7pm

I'd be surprised if this goes ahead. Likely to be more than enough rain to have fallen to cause a rain off. -
Rye House V Somerset 7th June

I wonder if the playoff system affects us with team building. Rather than put a side together to finish top of the table do we look to sneak into the playoffs and hope to win them? The team this year was always going to be a gamble. Eddie was always going to score well & Garrity has finally got his form back but the rest of the side is far too inconsistent to be successful. -

Three guests in a team of seven is crazy. . Makes a mockery of the sport. -
Is Stefan Nielsen in the PL this year?

Rye House V Somerset 12 April

Hopefully JG will get his machinery sorted. The lad was devastated by his score last night & so it doesn't seem to me to be a problem with Rye, just poor machinery. -
Rye V Plymouth Sat 9th June
JmeRay replied to Dave Stummings's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I thought there was some decent racing from both teams. I am disappointed we lost the match but we were very unlucky. Kasper was looking good in his first ride when he came off. Bunyan too in the race he crashed in & losing your number one when he is having a good meeting would be a blow to any team. Garrity is a big miss but I thought Mear would have been a decent replacement. Things just haven't worked out so far there. Lambert may not be fully fit but he is giving it a go & battled well for his points. We get a lot of injuries but I thinks thats because we have a team of racers and not just gaters. It wasn't long ago we were getting decent results away from home & so don't throw the towel in just yet. -
Rye House V Plymouth (league Cup) 26th May @4pm
JmeRay replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think a lack of meetings affected the Rockets. Olly looked very good but he has had sine EL rides lately. Plymouth looked sharper but i think they were having their 4th meeting in as many days. Good to see Tommy back at Rye helping his brother. Lambo was unlucky in his first ride but didn't look fully fit, likewise with JB. Great choice of guest by Plymouth. Wells looks a different rider around Rye nowadays. -
Rye House V Sheffield (koc 1st Leg)... 11th May @ 8pm

Great to see this young Rye side, that a number of its own supporters criticised heavily before a wheel was turned, is performing well able to win a meeting with 4 riders & a NL guest. -

This looks to be a very competitive field. Its a shame that Sky are not showing this tonight & EL tomorrow. -
He's been over a few times watching the meetings & always stands talking to Len. Maybe its all behind them. I did say to Rob that i'd like to see him back but said he wasn't planning it.

I spoke to Olly & he seems to be quite hard on himself. He did say that it would take him a few weeks to get used to the track. -
Only just joined forum & didn't know I had liked the comnent. Must have pressed the wrong part on my phone screen.

I think Lambert was dedicated to the team at our time in need. Len has stuck by him. I quite like loyalty so i have no problem with him coming back. He may well stay at reserve all year but he is a decent reserve in the PL. it may be that he fits in with our budget. Theres already plenty complaining about admission fee. I dont disagree with that but the club has to live within its means. I'd much rather have riders committed to our club than a star commanding big wages & leaving as quickly as he arrives or not showing up for meetings. Lets give the team a chance.

I dont think the side is as bad as some think. Allen is a good PL rider. Mellgren is very good & will get better possibly taking the No1 race jacket. Garrity & Nelson have potential to become 3rd heat leaders & are entertaining to watch. Bunyan & Lambert are steady scorers & finished 2012 well. Lykke has bags of potential & is another entertainer. Its a decent young PL side with potential & some exciting riders.
