  1. That'd be crap. Do you know how I'd beat that team?

    6

    6

    6

    6

    6

    6

    3

My top 6 would not drop a point would they? They'd beat everyone of your riders. My number 7 wouldn't beat anyone, but he'd only have 3 rides s I'd have three last and a load of wins and pair wins. My team would win 69-21 or 69-23 if you use a TR, but, I'd stop you using a succesful TR, I'd put my number 7 in heats 1, 2 and 4 and then replace my number 7 with my number 6 in his programmed rides :P

I'd be a point below the limit and would beat Grachans team 69-21, based on my stronger 1,2 and 6 (plus 3,4 and 5).

Quite right...........I did point out to Grachan that:

    6.17

    6.17

    6.17

    6.17

    6.16

    6.16

    3

...would beat his team & yours. :D

  2. If we used a heat 14 format you'd be correct. In their 4 programmed rides, they cancel each other out BUT heat 15 is the top 2 riders in each team, a team with a stronger top 2 and weaker middle order will beat the other team in heat 15.

By giving the top 2 riders in a team an extra ride each, they can score more. At the same time, you're better off having a 5 and 3 point reserve than 2 4's, as the 5 point man can replace the 3 point man in a heat (and any struggling rider in the 1-5). If I was building a team I'd try and sign a good 1,2 and 6, as well as as many riders as possible who were going it improve. But assuming no riders ever improved, you'd be better off with a good top 2.

....except Grachan has already proved that in theory it's best to have seven riders of equal ability (i.e. 7 x 5.71).

  3. When agreement is announced(after clearance of the other 8 EL teams) might it look like this.

40 points limit - no change as other teams have already been started and any change now would create problems. Agreed

Conversion rate - 60% EL to PL, 50% PL to EL - it affects only Kings Lynn with Topinka but gives them more points for their final rider; next year 50% for DU & 60% for moving up full time.

    Foreigners - 4, 5 & 8 to be 5, 6 & 8 next year

Riders over 8 - daft, scrap it - as 40 points is sufficient regulation - we know Nikki Pedersen wants back & maybe other GP riders want to sharpen up?

8 match averages - scrap them & bring in a more sophisticated rule next year: Pawlicki stays a 4, Kerr 3.24 (& offset Dennis Andersson on the 4 point foreigner cheat).

Independant Speedway management panel - no need, just have a rule that any new regulations must be agreed a year in advance & be part of a properly presented three-year plan

No knee-jerk reaction to a fantastic 2010 EL victory for Coventry!

  4. Here's one for all you Sandhu and Trump lovers out there.

    From the 2010 rulebook.

    17.4.1.2

Where a team have been issued with new CMA's as per S.R. 17.1.1.1 which includes riders who have not achieved 12 fixtures but have ridden in a minimum of 8, than a new CMA will be used in the case of a re-declaration if the new CMA is higher.

What happens at the beginning of every season? Redeclaration?

Pawlicki gets an average, as does every other rider that rode between 8 & 11 meetings.

    Next!!

    WRONG!!!

That rule is to stop mid-season cheating like Poole's in 2009. :approve:

When a team starts a new season it's classed as a redeclaration.

WRONG!!! Each new season there's a new declaration:

    17.4 TEAM DECLARATIONS

17.4.1 Teams must declare their Team prior to the start of the Season.

    Grasping at straws, Steve! :D

  5. But the other Promoters know the rules that were adopted at the AGM

and have been building their teams to that criteria.

More fool them: you should never start team-building before

    ..the last season ends

    ..the pre-AGM

    ..the AGM

    ..the bribes & brown-envelopes

    ..the legal challenge

    ..the arbitration

    ..the reconciliation

    ..& Shovlar sings (or croaks)!

    :D

  6. Now that Coventry and Peterborough are not likely to be competing in the 2011 EL, thoughts have to turn to the riders.

So which of the riders will manage to find a tem berth elsewhere in 2011, or will there be no space at the inn?

Harris....would make a god number one for them....definitely god at Poole :D

    KK.

    Kennett.

    Bridger.

    Pawlicki.

    Barker.

    Sweetman.

Surely Matt Ford will sign those seven & kick out the seven losers he had this year? :D

  7. To be absolutely 100% clear, Steve, if Matt Ford ever pulled Poole out of the EL League, I would jump for joy !

I can't stand the devious weasel, much of the trouble in speedway seems to eminate from Mr. Ford

However, we all know Matt wont be happy until he has ruined every other clubs business to achieve his own twisted aims!

Remember the threat to take Poole to the CL ? He didn't have the guts to do that, did he?

Given the location of the stadium, we can only hope that its owners sell out to property developers, and that British Speedway will be rid of the poisonous Pirates, their devious promoter and his legion of irksome fans who think the devious toad walks on water and can do no wrong !

Any other track closes, its a sad, sad day...

Poole closes? Its a day of deep deep joy, as it would eradicate a heinous poison from British Speedway!

Ford & CVS signed Holder, Ward, Madsen & Woffinden on bargain averages but want to stitch Coventry & Boro for signing Larsen & Sundstrom!

How low will these guys stoop? Boot 'em out! Full power to Sandhu & Frost! Let's stamp out corruption & make a fresh start! No more cheating!

    Thoughts?

  8. The limit is 45. There are 9 teams in the EL. There are 11 riders with an average of 8.00 or above.

For example, this is a team that could be put out.

    1. Freddie Lindgren 9.87

    2. Jason Doyle 5.24

    3. Gregorz Zengota 5.65

    4. Jonas Davidsson 6.51

    5. Chris Harris 8.06

    6. Linus Sunstrom 4.77

    7. Kenni Larsen 4.84

Why be so conservative, you could have:

    Harris

    Shields

    Watt

    Bjarne

    Zagar

    Sedgmen

    Kerr

  9. Teams like Poole have riders on their books who we are not using and perhaps now id the time to offer these riders on a free loan deal for a season.

    Holder

    Ward

    Mroczka

    Pedersen

    Watt

    Madsen

    Doyle

.........not sure you could give them away! :D

  10. Funny thing is, because Pawlicki has yet to ride 12 meetings, he is not a Coventry asset. And with all this "he is definately a 4 pointer for 2011", wouldn't it be really funny if Matt called him up and he signed for Pirates as a reseve for 2011.

Why would he sign for the chokers when he can continue to ride for the Man Utd of speedway :approve::D

    Happy Days :D
