It wouldn't surprise me if after his meeting he is announced as the new leader of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk council

When does a licence cease to exist?

So if I wanted to set up a track in Milton Keynes and call it Milton Keynes Knights, someone still owns the rights to that name? What if I called it Milton Keynes Cavaliers?

The name Lakside Hammers wasn't around forty or fifty years ago.

His interview after the meeting aluded to exactly that

I guess the other aspect if it opened, is it may hasten the loss of Plymouth who attract a fair few from South of Somerset and North of Exeter.
Re "Northampton" the track at Braefield has been used for speedway before so not strictly speaking a new new track.
Any new team or returning team would be very welcome.
Wherever it is, it's got to already have a track

Ah man, I was really hoping it was Northampton.

Track is garbage.

Yes because Bradford is completely new to speedway isn't it

There is no official Witch option in the circumstances so yours is a moot point really....
I suppose Joe Thompson could've been named but officially he is no more a Witch than Jack Smith by current declaration
So not a full team of Witches then.

Win or lose but do so as a set of Witches riders
Since when was Jack Smith a witch?

Please don't give up. We need you and Bratters.

Crowd was smaller than I thought it would be as well.
I thought it was decent considering only announced Monday night.

If he gets the profits from that meeting , think in a way the Panthers fans should treat Thursday as there farewell now and not bother attending that meeting
Who wants to seen an individual as a farewell meeting? If it is to close then I want to see my Peterborough team and a final match against Kings Lynn seems a fitting finale. Stuff the individual, not interested.

Supposedly unviable yet apparently we had Tomalin, then Ged/Neil and now an unknown consortium interested in taking it on. With no track and seemingly no future, what are they interested in and what do they know we don't?

Appreciate that this will probably be behind closed doors (like quali!) But not seen any further mention since. Did I dream the whe thing or can anyone shed any light?
Wouldn't it be better to leave the track alone?

The documents to the two parts are here: https://planpa.peterborough.gov.uk/online-applications//search.do?action=simple&searchType=Application
Search keyword ‘Showground’ You will see the recently published two applications.
You can submit your objections or comments for the first part here: https://planpa.peterborough.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=RSOMJ0MLIWV00
You can submit your objections or comments for the second part here:
https://planpa.peterborough.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=RSXWVDML04U00The planning portal is not the easiest to navigate, but it is important that Speedway supporters overcome this, read the documents and note that there is no provision for Peterborough Speedway in the planning application, in contravention of the City Councils Local Plan and specifically policy LP30. You can find the adopted Peterborough Local Plan here https://www.peterborough.gov.uk/council/planning-and-development/planning-policies/local-development-plan
The section on the Showground and specifically local policies LP30 and LP36 are very relevant. This is a legal document, if this is not adhered to, what is the point of going to the trouble and expense of producing such a document?
Objections and or comments are welcomed from supporters of all clubs from the U.K. and around the world. The Peterborough City Council need to know and understand the 53 year heritage of Peterborough Panthers.
Cheers Mick. This needs to be shared far and wide, not just on this forum.

I've also messaged the Council's Planning Department to ask them whether AEPGs proposed development meets the requirements of the Local Plan ( specifically LP30 and LP36).
The Council say they will notify me when AEPG submits a valid Planning application.
Is anyone from Peterborough speedway coordinating resistance to the developer's plans?
It would be a great shame if speedway was just allowed to die because the current owner has just accepted it.
Edit: just seen info on a different thread from Mick Bratley that things are happening in the background.
I wish the best of luck to whoever is leading this.
Mick has posted the below on Peterborough thread. It would be great if people can complete and share this everywhere they can:
