    Gb V Australia - Ipswich 30th May

bridger, north, woodward dont race pl. changes to the original series announcement already.
  3. i thought perry and blackbird had been announced as reserves, so surely one of them should move into the meeting
  4. as these meetings are only a month away, has anyone heard of possible lineups or at least how line ups will be arranged, having a glance at the averages and current fixture list it shouldnt be hard to arrange, and both meetings should be hard fought,i am going to treat myself to a trip up north taking in the edinburgh event, then pop into berwick (sat) newcastle (sun), to round of the weekend, havent been to these tracks for a few years. looks like ipswich are the only team to be racing on both dates, (barker/lanham affected). i would think the 32 riders would be the current (starting) top 32 in averages as the events are so early this year. i would hope the powers are planning top 8 through, and 9th from each meeting being the final reserves, no space left at monmore for mishaps, problems, injuries, these to me are part and parcel, unfortunately but that is the nature of the beast so to speak. and i hope the top boys go where they are allocated this year unlike the shennanigans we heard of last season.
  5. so are, coventry, birmingham, leicester only seven go through from each semi for some ridiculous reason as i have posted previously so what edinburgh hasnt got one and a semi is being held there, rye held 2010 u21w/c and didnt have one despite fim regs crap track imo with no infrastucture/facilities to boot.
  6. at last! the split was pretty much as expected, just a case of which of the top boys went where, no complaints on that. just the 2 wildcard spots being kept back for the final, sorry this is called a qualifier, that is its purpose to qualify, s**t happens sometimes and if that means that someone who possibly should doesnt get through then hard luck, thats the way the cookie crumbles so to speak, not, oh dont worry if you miss agate or you have ef or maybe the ref excludes you, we got a place lined up for you in the final anyway, shock horror if for example scott, bomber and tai all fail to qualify for any of these reasons, which 2 get the w/c places, if all who are expected to go through do so who gets the w/c, (no offence to anyone here) but does adam roynon, jason bunyan, simon lambert etc , if fit at time of final get a spot. where does it start and end, imo top 8 into final no b/s wildcards.

    Bears Sign Davey

theres some young brits out there, not had 6 seasons in pl, younger than 23 and are nice lads who are never given the meetings to prove theirselves or the time to develop, and are given no hope of getting anywhere in speedway by many on this forum.
  8. i think that was the point from neb, much the same scenario as makkinen and many other foreigners
  9. i would say give the spot to a young brit, but according to you there arent any, a prime case give one the time and chance to have a proper go

but you have had a pay cap installed as well in pl, so everyone will be paid in relation within the team. and dont forget riders in pl are paying for their own tyres as well this year, but still dont have freedom of choice on which they use.
  11. you would think some teams may like to know, as they may have to secure guests if they are racing, ie ipswich

ok if i got that wrong i will apologise, a clear announcement rather than threat of legal action would of done , you could of pm me. but come on this rule (and it is a rule) is wrong and contradicts speedway as a team sport, and while you are there perhaps as dfg has said please clear it up, and perhaps you could get on with my other question in ind/shared events about the british semi's thank you.
  13. 19 days to go and still nothing.
  14. how can you organise something for which there are no competitors.

    Bonus Points In Premier League

yes there are rules in pl this year a cap off £55 pp and no bp if in 3rd unless on tac, wether clubs get around it is up to them , but theses rules were brought in for 2013 and if clubs are found out to be breaking the rules they will be fined.

not really as ipswich disagreed with it and are being loyal (a not often used word in speedway) to their riders and looking out for team morale, i have not seen the star, but would assume they are going to pay their riders bonus points, something that can be done seperately. sorry just seen your post dfb.

    Bonus Points In Premier League

they are breaking the rules, sheffield promotions idea, it was voted on at the agm as i understand, but ipswich, rye and somerset i am led to believe were the only votes against it, rediculous i feel a 3-3 can win / draw a match and the guy in 3rd passes his teammate to ensure being paid more, then his teammate gets passed by the guy in 4th 3-3 turns into 4-2 against match lost,or worse crashes into his teammate while trying to pass him, promoters fault not riders.

    Swindon 2013

poles playing up already by the looks of it, time to get strong and look after our own league, f em off.
  19. i do like and see a lot of sense in your post, but the word brits should read, any rider british or foreign,
  20. actually somerset did announce they were after brady kurtz, but he does not get his British reduction (joke) until he is 17, so opted for stefan, who had strangely been overlooked by ipswich/scunny and possibly sheffield. if this hadnt happened stefan wouldnt be in the pl, i really hope he has a good season along with every other young brit.
  21. in all fairness to your team they won 1 of the 3 team trophies, the others, in no disrespect to anyone are variations of a team trophy
  22. but edinburghs press release on 21/1 said any of nicholls/harris/tai etc could be coming to armadale, so i would of thought harkess would know the ins and outs, but that aside what is your thoughts on the cut off re selection, as i say imo it should be starting averages, with it being so close.

    Swindon 2013

i think you will find its andrew tully at 7, workington had on their website yesterday that howarth was not riding in it.
  24. but middleditch IS responsible for his OWN comments
  25. take the rose tinted specs off, of course it does, he leads our team in the world cup (supposedly) and is to an extent responsible for each and every one of that team as well as the younger ones coming through, and if this is his logic and stance on such behaviour then he has no right to hold that position.
