Ipswich 2023
cowboy cookie returns? replied to Falcon1983's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Agree Rew at reserve with Emil & Jason returning. Beyond that I don’t really know. I’ve been critical of king this season however can’t really fault him over the last month. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him back although I make Doyle the skipper -

Ipswich v Sheffield play off final 1st leg
cowboy cookie returns? replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The biggest question is around who rides for the Sheffield select side. Regardless of if the averages allow it or not Sheffield should keep in Lawson along Lambert for continuity reasons. If Harris rides it completely devalues & makes the sports highlight of the season a farce. I think this will be closer than the cup final but I think Ipswich will have enough over 2 legs to complete the job. The key riders are Riss for Ipswich & Holder for Sheffield. -

Totally agree the uk isn’t easy. Full of riders who while not big names but are very capable on these shores. Then throw in the mixture of track types it can certainly sort the men from the boys! -

Belle Vue are very lucky to have got the council to agree to that development & help pay for it, so hats off but unless things change dramatically it’s a one off sadly. I do get peed off with the were better than you are especially after years of awful Kirky lane track….some do have short memories -

I think it was because gate 3 had gone slick & was wasn’t working, so if any one could have made it work it was Emil. -

If Tai rides for Wrocław on Sunday but then doesn’t ride on Monday he must get a 28 day ban for withholding his services. The question is though could Tai guest for himself on Thursday? -

If the other side don’t want to race not much you can do about that. It was one of those nights when the atmosphere in the stadium made up for the lack of passing -

It’s not clear rule bending there were enough loop holes when I read the regulations on Sunday when I was making the case for Ipswich to use Lambert, also errors on the official team sheets on the scb all made it very easy in my opinion to use him. I said on Sunday if the regulations were put to the test Lambert would end up riding -

I spent most of last Sunday on here saying if it was tested Lambert could rider, all the no he can’t your wrong read the rules comments……all you need was to spot the loop hole which I found Sunday morning when making the case for Ipswich to use him. -

I suggest that it is….one of the reasons for the decline in attendance & lack of credibility the sport has. Also doesn’t allow for merchandise to be exploited it’s one thing to lose you favourite rider because he gets transferred but see them turn up & ride for your rivals is something else. Anyway that my thoughts but I genuinely wish you guys all the best to either find a new venue or stay at the showground. I’ve put my reasons to keep the speedway at the showground on the council’s planning feedback area. Hopefully you find a way to carry on & speedway finds a way to prosper & gain credibility. Last Thursday at Foxhall demonstrated how it could be in the uk! -

You must have been reading the Belle Vue Ippo thread, plenty of grey areas & loop holes to allow that to happen. Hopefully Ipswich have got there first -

The cup final on Thursday just goes to show what the sport could be like in this country. A large crowd, good racing atmosphere & at the end great interaction between rider & supporters. Louis is getting it right with the Ipswich brand. -

Polish speedway is a squad sport & everyone know that. If you have injuries then they have to be covered by members of your squad. No different to any other professional team sport. While it massively weakens Wrocław a squad system is much better than what we have in the UK, where the regulations are so open to interpretation you could fly a 747 though the holes.
