    Thomas Jorgensen

At least 10 years too young for us

Rest of the teams in the league working to a points limit of 42.5.We are working towards an average rider age of 42.5.It's just a new way of team building that's all

Not unless David Bellego or similar at No.1, a 2 pointer like Luke Ruddock or Ryan Blacklock and maybe Jye and Danny if fits

2.11-Ryan Blacklock maybe if he is fit and riding again,Thought he was made an asset last season Might need to be Danny Gapp instead of Jye in your team if Jye is going back to Edinburgh-according to Taffy on post 341

The pairs competition this year might as well be for about 4 teams and hardly worth the rest turning up.Doubt if it'll encourage fans from all teams to rush to attend. The top 3 or 4 teams might find home attendances increase and then decrease as they start winning by a barrowload each week. What it'll be like for teams in the lower bit of the league God only knows.Maybe just as well if it's only one home meeting against each team as it'll get the season over quicker

If he is hope it's a straight swap for Ricky Wells and if not hope he's sold back at a tidy profit.

    Glasgow 2018

Signing an expensive looking team built to win the league and nothing less. Sent one rider away to lower his average and come back this year on a nice low 3+ average Promoter on management committee so you can bend rules to suit yourselves Racing on a Friday night No obvious signings the other end of the M8 yet You're not Glasgow speedway any more, you're Edinburgh in disguise Looking forward to seeing the Glasgow Monarchs in their nice red, white, blue and yellow race suits By the way, hope your track alterations this winter are not to turn it into a trick track as well. Only joking-I think

Looks like the increase in average to 42.5 has allowed teams who are quick off the mark to sign at least two No.1 riders and this will lead to a shortage of No.1 to fill all the teams in the league. For those like us who may have signed a team but just not announced it (hopefully!!!) would it be best to go for strength in depth from 1-7 and forget about 2 or 3 point riders.Seems strange that teams like Scunthorpe who bleated on and on about not enough fans and not making money can sign up what is bound to be an expensive team when as far as I can see there is nothing changed in rules or league set-up to inspire confidence and attract new fans.Looking at Glasgow/Scunthorpe/possibly Lakeside there may be a few teams who struggle to maintain crowd levels when fans get a tad fed up seeing huge home wins each week.Still, good luck to them for all that.

    Promoter's Agm!

If Workington and Newcastle run that is. 8 home plus 2 league cup if not (plus the usual 1 only cup match)

Would Bellego be a possible heatleader signing or is he now more committed to Poland

Now that the season starts with league cup section is it still 2 home and 2 away league matches against the others in the league or is it back to 1 home and 1 away.Could make for a short season or lots of blank Saturdays if only 13 matches (or 11 if no Workington)With the new starting rules and no penalties unless tapes broken does it mean best to go with team of gaters rather than racers (?TJ and dare I say it-Claus)

Wonder if this might come under EU employment law regarding restricting a person's right to work if a job has been offered.Whichever rider was offered the team place could maybe contact citizen's advice.Mind as the BSPA are totally ignorant of the laws of common sense they probably are above all other laws too.

Would the promoters vote for this rule at the conference last year.If so,they only have themselves to blame. However it's a different story if the rule was brought in just by the usual mismanagement board. Bandits V Witches. 8th July

I am fully aware a lot of people think you are an arse, crescent gir,l but you don't need to put your name at the end of a post. It's really not like signing at the end of a letter.

Was told a few weeks ago that Lee Payne and Havelock were big mates so he would be unlikely to be dropped. No idea if it's true but it would tie in with most things our part-time manager does.Signing Bowtell would have been a positive move for possible team building for next year-IF there is a next year but heh ho, Havelock maybe has a masterplan version 300.God knows what in mind.Wonder what Denis McLeary thinks privately about how things are going.I've been a supporter for best part of 45 years through thick and very thin but I can't ever remember such an apparent directionless mess as things are in at the moment. There have been good points like the covers, presentation, track which are big positives but they don't draw in the fans who want to see mostly a winning team at home.I realise injuries have been a big part of the problem but by no means all.Havelock said the club would have been in a financial quagmire if not for the covers. The way crowd numbers have fallen off recently I don't think they will be clear of that quagmire. That's probably enough of a moan for now-oh no I also meant to say that in terms of keeping the long suffering fans up to date, the website is dire.Sorry for being so negative but for the first time in 45 years I don't know if I'll bother seeing out the season and before anybody says support the club or lose it,to be honest I don't know if I'm too bothered the way it is just now

Hope they got our team manager as well as part of the deal
  24. Is this meeting cancelled due to complete apathy and lack of interest (or is that the same thing)? Nothing on Berwick website or this forum about teams for tomorrow night. Oh well.Who gives a sh*t anyway

Jacobs for Bridger's average really, not for the rider himself.R/r for a rider with as low an average as Bridger is no good.Would be different if Bridger had ridden to his original average but that wasn't to be.Having been very critical of Havvy all season I think this is a pretty good decision (must have been a Courtney decision) and all the best of luck to Jacobs.
