Danny King > Scott Nicholls

Excellent news, retaining a British rider who will be one of the top riders under the new system, suggests the problem was indeed elsewhere than Alan Phillips if Danny's had a change of heart after the changes upstairs at Perry Barr. Question is, does Phil Morris have thoughts along similar lines ?.

Leicester 2014 . Elite

You've dodged a bullet if you've missed out on Kasprzak, if his inconsistency isn't infuriating enough, his Polish clubs interfering with your lines up for some matches would push you over the edge. -
That's not remotely funny.......................... mainly because you could well be right
-
He's about as popular as cancer at Perry Barr Gut feeling is Barker, could be a surprise.
-
I could have chose to stick two fingers up to the suggestion than say anything at all y'know.

Fair enough, I'll hold my hands up to that one, I'm man enough to admit I was wrong. In my defence however, when there's two versions of events, your always going to back the one in favour of your club without overwhelming evidence either way, so is it my fault for trying to defend my club, or the person who mislead me ?.

I do wonder why Alan Phillips chose to stay in that case, he must know the fans and riders alike need convincing all the issues are in the past which would be hard enough to do without any other problems, and Tony Mole offered him a way out, why not take it ?
-
What's the point in having an answer to that question unless there's someone ready to take over ?, woulden't reflect good on the BSPA to force an owner out regardless of whether he's considered suitable or not, then have the club fold as no one steps into the breach.

While I can understand that, they need to be careful not to come up with a totally underwhelming side, one that has wooden spoon written all over it will not save any money if it's not good enough to entice people through the gate. Is a cheap side rooted to 10th with crowds of 500 if that any better than an expensive side challenging for the play offs with nearer to 2000 watching ?. The number are examples before anyone point out any inaccuracies.

The guy that seems to be rumored will prob be one of the top riders left if all 9 pointers bar Woffy and Darcy and many of the higher 8 pointers are gone.

I don't think that statement tells us anything we don't already know.
-
I'd laugh if I didn't think there was every chance of that actually happening.

I hope Pearson knows what he's talking about, this announcement tomorrow will be interesting then. Anyway where will this announcement be made with a kaput website ?.
-
Again, announced by the man himself on the Brummis story, cannot doubt it's accuracy if it came from the horses mouth.

There's enough opinions from various people if you know where to look, it's who you believe really.
-
How you think I feel supporting both!.
-
Er no he doesn't, Smoli is low 7 and King is 7.5. I know who I'd have money on maintaining their average more than the other. The inside line round turn 1 & 2 at Perry Barr contributed heavily to Martin putting 2 points on his average, take that away....
-
I don't blame you for being confused, it's difficult to know who's opinion to believe currently.
-
He announced it himself on the Brummies Forum.

Kennett & Klindt competitive ? I "think" Alan Phillips and Chris Luty joint own it, despite having walked away, I don't think Chris Luty has sold his stake in it however, so presumably unless the situation changes again, only Phillips will be actively involved. Clear as mud, but if it works...

I presume Bee's, but the way I see it is each club wants to use an asset of the other, in theory it shoulden't be that much of an issue. You could also argue Danny is a better ride than Ben, the averages suggest so currently (6.8 to 7.5 or thereabouts ?), so maybe not exactly a straight swap. I'm mystified why people keep mentioning Smolinski, if we had kept the 2013 system he'd be a big enough risk In trying to maintain a 7 average, under the 2014 system it would be madness, not to mention I think his first bend inside line at PB has been sussed by most now.
-
I don't recall many Bee's fans saying that at the time Basically what I'm saying is, it has to be the same case for both, can't have a different rule in each case, if Danny's free to ride where he wants, then Barker must be too, or the clubs can dictate to both. Personally I'd prefer the stance between the clubs to thaw a bit and get talking but as I said earlier, the balls in Hortons court on that one, the basic fact is we are interested in a Cov asset and Horton wants to prevent us using him, Cov are also interested in a Brum asset, we could take the same stance or Horton, or more likely both could come to an arrangement.

No Chris Holder In 2014 In British League.
david2905 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Unsuprising, if we are serious about cutting costs then either the top GP's riders have to lower their demands or ride elsewhere until such a time the British League can sustain them, and I mean properly sustain, not a heavy subsidy from a wealthy backer who could move on one day and leave the club concerned in the lurch. Bit of a shame Poole have seemingly chosen Darcy instead as Chris seems to have a bit more going on upstairs. -
Have to see on that one, with two big departures among the Brum hierachy in the last 24 hours, Danny may have a change of heart. I'd still say to Cov, relax their stance about Barker etc and we'll talk, otherwise they can forget King, I'm sure there's other clubs looking at him if he's adamant he won't be at PB in 2014.
