I suspect he will, Rory shown a big liking for PB previously, why the hell he's never raced for us on that basis is anyones guess.
-
PB is a racers track, not 50p or triangle shaped like Essex and Sussex interpertations.

I'm in the same boat Gerry, and fed up of seeing both my most beloved clubs going to hell in a handcart as things stand.
-
Not sure he's wrong though based on the last 6 months or so.

Any idea what's going on with the Brummie forum, is it just unfortunate timings for issues or something more sinister.

Hate to say it, but your summing up is worringly accurate IMO.

Im sure budget plays a part too, peanuts and monkeys comes to mind.

Chris Bomber Harris Performances

Entirely possible, he seems slightly further up the slope that Scott Nicholls and Eddie Kennett are on. -
And Phillips has the cheek to wonder why people still question and don't trust him, seems the schenanigans from 2013 are still not over and he has now sucessfully removed anyone with a clue of how to run a speedway club at all. I've had enough now, we are on a course to oblivion with this guy, Phillips out! I know GD had a tendency to rub some people up the wrong way, but he knew more what he was doing than the amatuer owner and OAP manager we are left with.

Probably best to stick to SteveBrums advice then, I think technically junction 6 is a shorter route, but woulden't advise doing battle with the Aston Expressway and City Centre ring road on a good friday afternoon!.
-
What direction you coming from ?, Brum's on the money for from the M6 from up north.

To be brutally honest, a cheap team is performing rather like you'd expect, and morale and crowd levels are starting to suffer already. I know people will shout budget at me, but people won't support a side that performs this badly, IMO more needed to be spent on team building to perform better and get more through the gate. I think we usually get good crowds for a good friday meeting, but whoever is thinking about the crowd seems totally oblivious to the teams performance, no point rescheduling for a popular date if no one fancies turning up to watch a yet another likely tonking.

Was a difficult task before we became a British Speedway select 6 side again, 40-50 me thinks.

Lakeside V Birmingham 11/4/14

Who said anything about getting points away ?, the point I was making is we generally do 3 times worse at Lakeside and Eastbourne that actual real speedway tracks. It's not the likelyhood of finishing bottom that's the issue, it's the not getting within 20 points most of the time, it's the lack of funds showing left right and centre, the crowd (understandably) not supporting a team making performances like that, and a general mistrust of the club at management level after last seasons schenanigans. Take those issues away and finishing bottom occasionally can be tolerated, add them all together though ad we are in serious trouble. -

Afraid that's the only possible future I can see for us at this time, as Alan Phillips can't afford a decent team and the fans patience with this garbage will snap at some point. -

It will if 10 people turn up next week having heard this scoreline. Didn't expect much on the road this season but FFS do they really have to be so embarassing every week. -

Not really, we do s**t at Lakeside and Eastboure with a decent team, so add a less decent team and what do you expect ?. -

I dare say it will be somewhat bigger for Kings Lynn, now people have seen the side is capable of more than 15 point tonkings. -

True, but some still think he's capable of 8/9 pointer performances, as you say he'll do a job as a 6.5 rider, but that's still some step down from where he was. -

Safe to say he won't be again, I love Bomber, but this downward spiral hasn't shown much sign of reversal for 2 years now. Scornicki looked like a man on a mission. -

Personally I woulden't have King anywhere near T/R's, tends to be the pressure rides where he falls off. -

I suspect the thinking is King goes better having watched a couple of heats to see how the track behaves. -

Sure I read your heatleaders have to be at 1,3 and 5, but the number one doesn't have to be at number one, in PL days Jason Lyons always faired better at 3 than 1. -

Oh the irony, Mr Pedalbin talking about others with a grudge Harris had an offer from his parent club, most riders return under such circumstances.
