I like Bomber but I think he is wrong in this instance !!

Didn't Adam Ellis ride as an EDR rider this year ? So why is his Average for next year deemed to be 5.60 ? Surely it should be either his PL Average pro rata ( if he had one ) or the average he entered into the season on as an EDR rider ?? Correct me if I am wrong ... Cheers

Chris ' Bomber ' Harris has been a fantastic rider for the Bees over the years and especially so during the glory years when we won the title ! Thank-you Chris !!! We will all remember the stuffing we gave out to Poole in the 2010 Play-Off final and Chris's part in that no doubt. He has been worth the admission money alone on many occasions for his never say die exploits from the back - take a bow Bomber you are a Coventry Legend ! Having said that - Life and Speedway in Coventry moves on .... so good luck at your new team Bomber but we need to move on at Brandon with a new team depending on the new rules etc .... Cheers

Looking forward to this meeting .... great commitment from KK and I am sure Bomber would have been there if it were at all possible / logistical so he is excused ! CH r/r means KK, DK, JG and ANO from Bates, Woryna and Sarjeant so not too shabby either although not as strong as Bomber obviously. Will be a good meeting with Hammers really needing to win also to keep their play-off hopes alive ... Think Bees will shade it though 48-42 ish unless Bates rides like he did last time in which case we stick 50+ on the board !! Will miss seeing AJ around Brandon though .... Cheers

Hi Neil - sorry it sounds like I am having a go at you here - that is genuinely not the case and probably just my disappointment that the match has been called off ! It's just that your original message seemed so positive only then to be completely reversed .... At least we can hopefully re-schedule when we have KK back in the team .....

What was the point of this message given that the meeting has been called off by 12.00 noon today ? I know we are in the hands of the weather but why issue an optimistic / positive message just before it is called off ...... Anyways ....

I know ... I know ... you are right but it still doesn't feel right or fair to me that a rider can ride for a team pretty close to all season and help get them into the play-offs in the first place and then be effectively jettisoned to the scrapheap for / or just before the play-offs commence for a rider who has not supported the British League this season ! Maybe we have a transfer deadline up to end July - and then only replace injured riders ?? Cheers Cheers

I have to say that - regardless of any team - riders should not be allowed to replace other riders just for the play-offs and just because they are available from other foreign Leagues when they have not supported the British League all year .... this very wrong in my opinion to the outgoing rider being replaced unless they are injured !!

Would like to see KK back as I said in my earlier message - however, if he qualifies for the GP Series next year - will we see him ? I doubt it somehow ... Cheers

Dare I say it but if the rules alllow .... Stick with KK, Harris, King, Garrity, Bates and Woryna - add another heat leader and we will be ok ... Why persevere with Woryna and then ditch hime when he comes good next year ? Bates and Woryna at reserve, King and Garrity at second string with KK, Harris and ???? as Heat Leaders .... Cheers

Just got back from the meeting tonight - thought it was a good meeting apart from the result ! Great racing in quite a few heats tonight - inspired performance from Kasper Woryna so credit where credit is due. Missed points from KK ( missed start in Ht 1 or was it Zagar that jumped and got away with it ? ) and a blown engine before Ht 13 probably cost us in Ht 15 too. Having said that think Danny got away with a flyer in Ht6 ?! Batesy not quite on the gas tonight nor Barker although he did lead a race until bike failure cost us a 5-1 and rewarded Aces with a 4-2 instead. Oh well - season over as far as play-offs concerned let's hope it's not for good !! Very impressed with Belle Vue - good solid heat leaders and a super star in the making in Max Fricke - add to that the two Worrall boys and this team is gonna win the League I reckon and deservedly / hopefully so .... Just got back from the meeting tonight ... First 6 Heats - not the best start to the night ! After that - Should've had a 5-1 when Sarjeant fell off and even then should've been a 3-3 Ref too early in putting red lights on ... Poor performances from both Bees reserves ( 1 ride excepted from Woryna in Ht12 ) Match Winner for Kings Lynn .. not NKI nor Batch but Jakobsen ? Where did he come from - paid 11 from first 4 rides - never even seen the place before !! Top performance from the guy. As for Bees - too late now but sorry Woryna not the answer this year and should have gone weeks ago for a 6.5ish man ... may come good in the future but have we got a future ? Should have replaced Sarj with Adam Roynon also but hey ho - who cares anymore ? Have to say Management very quick to apologise for riders 'poor' performances when we all know this team is not up to it - all except our management seem to know it at any rate - maybe the management should be apologising for the inadequate team they have put together this year - a full 2 points or so below the start limit !!

Very poor showing from the Bees tonight - KK not at the races, Bates, Sarjeant and Woryna one good race each and then Harris and King who both rode well to be fair! As for Havvy .... " riding like the proverbial cheap Polish Watch " not the best choice of words ! Also when asked what the right set up should be " not a clue as I haven't rode for a few seasons now " - thought that was why he was team manager to give the benefit of his techincal and mechanical knowledge ?? Can't be for just his team management on the night can do that .... Come on management - we all know and so should tou that this team is not strong enough to make the play-offs - no signing to cover for Garrity injury means no ambition - we need to sign someone else and quick !

Agree with SCB on this one .... In any event can only replace James Sarjeant with another rider from EDR or Adam Roynon .... How many matches do we miss with Jason Garrity out injured ? Could replace him with a rider up to 7.48 !! if I am correct given latest gas's It's a no brainer isn't it? Cheers

Brilliant performance from the Bees to chalk up a four point away win at Kings Lynn - great rides from both KK and Bomber to get the better of Niels K Iversen on his home track together with solid scores from all except James ... now need to do the biz at a very different Leicester track on Mon night .... hopeful Garrity will be back for this one as he tends to go well there ...
