Birmingham V Lakeside 10/07

Against an injury ravaged runaway league leaders you mean. Robins should take all 3 points if they want to live up to the pre season favourites billing. -

 -
Didn't realise he had made a comeback so quickly?
-
Who?? Is he any relation to Mikkel Mikkelsen at all?
-
Seems a popular replacement, however don't say i didn't warn those who think he will do a good job! Isn't he out injured for quite a while?

Its good comedy value for some tho. -
And did a terrible job this season, so yes i would imagine he would do a great job for us So of course it is relevant.
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO thank you. Never saw the reason why some felt he should have been included from the off, his performances for Poole being the obvious reason why he isnt the answer then OR now. A newcomer can be the only answer (so long as its someone like Mikkelsen/Zmarlik)
-
Or pretty much similar to that once they re-declare. Which was my original point.

Somerset V Workington Koc 5 July
stevebrum replied to oldtimer's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I am looking forward to my first trip to Somerset, nice to know the weather is on my side! -
Nothing 50/50 about this one, thought even you could work that one out.
-
Some people are easily pleased.
-
Its looking like our good start is soon going to ebb away. Proctor is such a key reason for our good start. Poole have re-declared haven't they? Harris as a guest is no match replacing Fred so Heats 13 and 15 now give Poole the edge when it was 50-50 against Fred/Tai. Has been proven time and time again RR is no replacement for Ty. So whatever other changes are made to the Pirates line up they are already clear favourites for the meeting. Wolves the underdogs but we have had fight all season. So hopefully the boys can hang on for a win against the odds.
-
Nothing silly about it. However what is silly is `my lot` beating Wolves Like any team that faces us right now it is the perfect time to take points off us. To suggest otherwise is plain silly!
-
Poole are favourites for 4 points so the pressure really is on Poole to try take advantage of our woeful injury problems. Only Birmingham have really capitalised so far. No doubt the boys will put in plenty of effort on Monday. We are the underdogs right now but 4 points for the Pirates will see them will and truly in the mix finally.
-
disagree. A prolonged back against the wall meetings for us could see us fall down the table and its up to the likes of Poole and the rest to wins their matches in hand. Can`t see us hanging on to the top spot for much longer, but top 4 still seems manageable. Remember top 4 is all that matters, oh, and a full side in September.
-
The management have made their feelings quite clear on teams calling off meetings to suit so it isn't an option. In saying that i think Wolves fans would back him if he did because others teams clearly have gained an advantage by doing so. But no, Wolves will continue with our depleted line up and gift the Pirates 4 points, Hopefully CVS will follow the MF protocol of calling off meetings to suit, but i very much doubt it.

Any injuries and subsequent missing matches to Fred and Tai are mild compared to the prolonged loss of Ty. It is worrying that he is out for so long and surely a decision needs to be made because RR is totally inadequate in the long term. Saying that, a new `Dane` or new signing is unlikely to continue or be able to cover the excellent start to the season that Ty has had. The news on Freddie is so much brighter, doubt he will be fit for a week tonight so Poole remain favourites for the 4 points anyway.
-
Its going to be tough to keep the boys motivated to keep picking up points with more prolonged absences. Perfect chance for other teams to catch us up and steal points off us. 4 points heading back to Poole in 8 days. If there is a smidgen of consolation is that Fred stays at number one, however it is still the missing Proctor that is hitting us the hardest. Awful awful news for Fred. And a tragedy for our team morale. I just hope the boys can keep picking up points.

Fair play to putting in the open. However this is all down to the planning and who took priority, i always believed that the home nation (Denmark) would have had the priority anyway. Saying that, whoever had the priority in the planner SHOULD have taken priority.
-
To be honest the missing of riders on a regular basis recently is really undermining your season. Clearly something is up with Hans and Swindon and that could completely derail your challenge. Either Hans deciding to ride in Denmark is a punishable offence, and he must take some responsibility in that. With the agreed working world league programme (with start of the season fixtures taking priority) one can only assume that the Denmark fixture isn't the priority at the start of the season. Still, think its odd because i thought their own country meetings took precedent? Clearly Hans`s Twitter comments indicate all is not well.

He was just quoting bookies , like they know!
