  1. Josh Pickering posting on SM "#safetyfirst".
  2. Have been patiently waiting today for those who chose to defend their promotion as a priority to then do the right thing and mention the injured riders. Suppose I should know better!
  3. If, as Edinburgh claim, their crowds are up - why take the risk of preparing a track that doesn't provide entertainment and peeing off paying customers?
  4. Looking forward to reading the spin the Monarchs' PR put on this one. No doubt the usual whitewash.
  5. Harkess pre-meeting EMTV interview on FB "they're probably used to a slicker track than what they're gonny get tonight". Backfired.
  6. Reading the updates on this meeting and whoever is posting either has little knowledge of speedway or it's the usual "kings clothes" approach when reporting on Edinburgh. The track is badly doctored - that's why riders are "forgetting to turn".
  7. This ocassion. So correct about all the other ocassions then.
  8. Uncomfortable? Uncomfortable is walking through a minefield after downing 10 pints.
  9. Why ironic? Scotland is part of Great Britain.

    Glasgow 2018

This has to be a honey trap! No one with any savvy would post such a public comment in the knowledge that people connected with the club follow this thread.
  11. I've never met you Jenga (though I would like to as I find many of your posts amusing and think you'll be good fun/company) so don't really know you. Reading between the lines I think you're just a wind up merchant but not a bad bone in your body. It takes a big man to swallow his pride and apologise. I hope that is taken on board by the promotion. Once there dust has settled, let's hope lessons have been learned and common sense prevails.
  12. Puting aside my allegiances. Having invested time and effort, via Social Media, etc, to bring newbies to the sport I cannot understand why there was no effort made to rectify the obvious issue with bend 1 and 2. For a neutral, or unfortunately any newbies, that was a detrimental advert for our sport.

As the corners are being taken in to widen the entrances, the straights as a result are widened.

Taken in as much as possible, pitch has to be within regulation size.

    Glasgow 2018

The sport needs every club to do this. All that's happened at Glasgow is a few like-minded people have been galvanised to get the job done. It costs nowt. Any club telling it's fans otherwise is misleading them. There is nothing to stop every single poster on this Forum to do the same thing - volunteer your services to your club. If you can type a message on here, you can run an Instagram, Twitter, Facebook page. IN OTHER WORDS - STOP MOANING, STOP HIDING BEHIND FINANCIAL COST MYTHS - GET UP OFF YOUR ARSE AND DO SOMETHING TO PUBLICISE YOUR CLUB/SPORT. The only downside - you might have some fun along the way!

Spot on mate. In 2016 and 2017 it was all done by volunteers, not one penny paid in wages. Not one! Those clubs/people who don't even try to emulate us on the basis of cost are short changing their own fans. Anyone can do it. Anyone! The question is not finance, it's whether or not the club/individuals have the will to do it.

    Aye, he's read Wolbert's autobiography.
  19. Respect cyclone. Genuine post. Edit: Was referring to your Like of my post
  20. Clouseau invariably gets personal on here and takes things too personal. Needs to get a life. Strange how he consistently slags off the Glasgow supporters with social stereotype remarks - yet he keeps coming back for more. Maybe he likes a bit of rough? Strange guy.
