    Wroclaw GP

Yeh I will be at this match too, cant wait - not long to go now

    Vicenza-lonigo

Well I hope to go Thurs to Sun or at least Friday to Sun as I won't be allowed anymore time off than that from work. If you go with Ryan-air to Verona then, what the best plan - get a hotel in Verona? As Vincenza doesn't appear to be a very big place as while I'm there I would like to go to either Venice or somewhere with a beach Just wondered what others might be doing for accommodation and your plans for whilst you're there (bar the speedway obviously!)

    Vicenza-lonigo

On the official speedwaygp site, it now says it HAS been confirmed! I really want to go to this one
  4. Just to let you all know that I got an e-mail from Ryanair informing me of the schedule changes and I had to accept that were ok - so hopefully you should all receive e-mails informing you anytime soon
  5. That explains it then Terry - cheers
  6. I booked my tickets on Friday night, going to be sitting in the back straight, hopefully near Turn 2! I haven't received any notification either about the flight changes which is odd considering they have about 3 of my numbers, postal addy and e-mail - oh well! At least we all know so we will be there in plenty of time

    2005 Gp Rules Published

I looked at the figures for the prize winners and am I correct in thinking the winner of the GP gets paid around £5,800? I know the figures were in dollars but if you check the currency, that is roughly what it works out. Its pittence compared to other sports, I always thought they earned more than that for a GP win.
  8. Picked them up no problem at the stadium at practice last year - reserved tickets were clearly marked within about 50 yards of the tram stop, just before entering the stadium complex. One for Joanne to elaborate on. From memory there is a bit of cover, however it certainly doesn't come out very far. I'm sure it'll be a balmy spring evening anyway The map at the bottom of the ticket ordering page is which Sektor/Gate you go in, nothing to do with rows, e.g. you may have a ticket in the main stand, sektor 19 - you enter through gate 19 find row x then your seat number. Rico Thanks Rico, will get them booked tomorrow!
  9. Just a few questions: is it better to have sent the tickets sent to you or to collect at the stadium? Which are the tickets which have sold out already? I have just had a quick look and can't see any which are sold out? Is the back straight covered? I am thinking of having back straight tickets purely because they are cheap but I would much rather sit in the main stand. On the tickets website, it says for Main Stand - Row 25-26 - I can't see that on the map as the numbering stops at 24? Sorry for being dense - any help much appreciated guys
  10. Yes I've just looked at the link too and I agree that it seems very expensive. I want to get my tickets asap but don't to book them if this isn't the official way to get tickets....anyone with more info??

    Danish GP seats/tickets

Well I went to Parken last year and I sat in the Upper Tier of the first bend and I didnt really like it. There was no proper lighting so it was just sitting in darknesss. I had a good view of the pits and the racing but if I went back, I would rather sot on the home straight.
  12. Cardiff & Wroclaw and most likely Italy
  13. Easyjet stagger their releases, sign-up to their mailing list as a back-up and they might inform you by e-mail, otherwise just check the site regularly. Oh, and wait until the GP is confirmed Enjoy yourselves ! Rico <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cheers Rico, will get on the mailing list, by the time its for sale it should "fingers crossed" have been confirmed
  14. Thanks guys for your help about Lonigo, had a good look at the map now So at the minute you can't book online with easyjet as the route isn't for sale, can you book over the telephone or does it have to be after a certain date? Hoping to make the Italian GP a mini holiday
  15. Yes Lonigo looks like the one I might aim for, whats the best airline to use and airport to arrive at in Italy as not too sure where Lonigo is ! Is there going to be any cheap airlines going there or nearby?
  16. Yes I've been waiting for the venues to be announced, speedway star and sgp website definitely says announcement before end of November, wonder if we will hear anything today!
  17. Maybe you are right, there is nothing worse than a grand stadium only for it to be half empty. And agree about the racing 100%
  18. I've never been to Sweden, although plan too in the next few years so don't really know what their tracks/stadiums are like - other than those I've seen in the GP's. I'm presuming that both these stadiums aren't exactly like Gothenburg?? Correct me if I'm wrong but if these stadiums are just where normal league racing takes place, isn't it a bit of a come down after racing in one of the national stadiums?! I know there was all the problems at Gothenburg when the meeting got cancelled but I'm still surprised when BSI ar trying to move the sport forward - that they are moving away from the larger stadiums. I'm sure both the Swedish venues will produce excellent racing and I hear one of the venues gets the largest crowd attendance in the Swedish League but I'm still surprised. Perhaps somebody can tell me a bit mroe about the venues. Maybe BSI are saving all their big bucks to bag Barcelona as a GP Roll on when they announce the full calender
  19. So, has Barcelona been confirmed yet? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, Barcelona hasn't been confirmed yet Kevin, just specualtion at the minute. Think BSI are hoping to confirm the venues at end of November so we will have to wait and see I would love a GP in Barcelona, I certainly wouldn't miss that - great excuse for a holiday! I would also love to see the GP series return to Oz as it would be nice for the Aussie riders and of course all their loyal fans who rarely see them "live" .
  20. Well this is the GP abroad I'm planning to go to next season and I would like to see Pepe racing. However, I think somebody like Rempala after his performance in the WTC deserves a chance -but my money is on Pepe to be the wildcard

    Grand Prix

I'm really happy with that line-up I was very concerned Ryan wouldnt get a place but he will be back and fighting next year so really chuffed Rico, Nicholls and Hans were always dead certs and Bjarne has rode great this year so they are definitely the 5 I would have picked. Thank you BSI, great decision made on riders who are capable of winning GP's and not riders just being picked so fans from that country will turn up eg. Lukas Dryml etc When will the GP dates and venues be confirmed?
  22. Any news on the wildcards today as Jeffster said he thought they were going to be announced today?? I dont like all this waiting!!
  23. gooner_girl4eva

    World Team Cup??

I certainly would like to know whats happening with the WTC as I wasn't sure if it was all in 1 country or not. I don't think I'll be in Poland for thef inal if I am going to the Wroclaw GP but I would like to see the semis in England if it all goes to plan. Hope BSI announce the dates and venues for the GP's and WTC soon, I hate waiting

    Your pick for 2005

So it says in the speedway star that the 5 chosen riders for 2005 will be chosen in a meeting which starts on October 17th which is when the ELRC is on. Do you think a decision will be made on the day and that we'll find out at Poole who the lucku 5 are? Or will we just have to see which riders storm off home when they receive a phone call
