  1. Of course it's not to be taken seriously. However it does reflect what most genuine speedway fans will think and that is Swindon should beat Poole. Its quite simple.
  2. Still not grasped the concept of polls have you. No doubt you feel General Elections don't represent the opinion of the country as 'not everybody votes'. The poll was open to all, it clearly showed the views of the forum.
  3. Its pretty well documented that Jesus did exist, not very knowledgable if you question that. I am no expert on Mohammed, but I suspect he existed too. Agree with what you say about Torun getting everything they get though
  4. You had the opportunity to vote, decided not too... but still feel the need to dispute the results.
  5. Based on Tully's recent outing at Wolves that will strengthen the Brummies somewhat.
  6. He's already done something similar and got off scot free. Although of course he didn't wait till the fans had paid their money to enter the stadium. Truly disgraceful from Torun.
  7. UK Martin seems a bit worried, trying to talk himself into believeing Niels won't ride. Seriously though, excellent news he is guesting, he is the only rider who could match Tai's scoring power. The only thing we may potentially miss is Tai's team riding ability but in all honesty you can't say we are any weaker with Niels in.
  8. No way Tai will be riding on Monday I expect. As Wolfsbane says, got to get NKI booked.
  9. Great post Kev. I really am so pumped for these matches. Early indications are the weather is set fair (fingers crossed). Both sides have riders who can score anything from 2-10 so literally anything can happen in this meeting. The key for Wolves is the track, if its prepared well with the inside lines working it should suit them. If that line isn't there then Wolves generally struggle and more so against Birmingham who have many riders who like to ride wide.
  10. I haven't attacked you, I've pointed out the foolishness of your posts, which is within forum rules.
  11. It appears Steve is right. The consensus of opinion from viewers of this forum is that Swindon are favored to reach the final. If folk really believed Poole were favorites they would have voted accordingly.
  12. You stated yourself you weren't voting, so no you didn't contribute to the Poll. What do you do on Election Day, tell the postman you are voting Labour/Conservative and think that means you voted? As far banging on about debates with Drop a Cog, which incidentally we actually have.. a debate. We may not agree but we each put forward our views.. unlike this guy... who only since yesterday came out with these pearlers in response to Drop a Cog. So again, give it up. You're making yourself look an utter fool.
  13. It's not a matter of opinion. Its the forum rules. You have purposely entered the thread, not to contribute to the POLL, which is what the thread is about, but to attack it. As for the 'dull ongoing' battle with Drop a Cog (not THE), if you want to point out where this 'ongoing' battle is taking place feel free as we both moved on some time ago. Of course there are a couple of threads running where Drop a Cog is making posts and a character by the name of 'Stevebrum' is popping up to 'battle' with him. Maybe you should let this 'Stevebrum' guy know he's sending you to sleep.
  14. No it doesn't make me happy, as I said there is a hell of a lot wrong about the sport and you were stuffed back in the winter of discontent. Your hopes were also falsely built up this year, but you can have no complaints about not making the playoffs other than your own on track performance.
  15. Actually no. The thread is clearly marked as being a poll, therefore I came to the thread specifically expecting to click to vote. Sadly you came onto the thread to troll. There is much wrong in this sport, but remind me again what the 'cartel' did to stuff the Panthers? You didn't accumulate enough points to qualify. End of story. I suppose you will dig up the Kings Lynn situation, where the points were rightfully given back to them.
  16. Well, if people are stupid enough to vote for who they like or don't like, that's their own fault. Besides, lots of folk are claiming Poole are favorites (as per the bookies), so if they really believe that they will select Poole won't they. Or is it they that are doing the stirring? Personally I think the bookies have Poole priced as they do by reputation. They're certainly contenders but Swindon should be stronger over 2 legs. I may be wrong of course, time will tell.
  17. Lighten up people. There are plenty of other threads where many of us have had our say about other events. To repeat the same things on every thread going is just silly. Sure, Steve posts wind up posts, feel free to complain on those, but this isn't a wind up post. Its a poll that he isn't fixing, you're only allowed to vote once and the results will be interesting. I've voted. Posting to say you won't be voting is just an utterly ridiculous waste of your own time.
  18. My concern over booking Nicolai for the first meeting lies in us making the wrong move.. i.e. if he has a bad first leg, not using him in the 2nd. That would be the wrong thing to do. Birmingham is a track he will go well at. Wolves, its a mental thing and will be hit or miss. Hopefully he will be fine and it won't be an issue. Heat 2 will be crucial, if he can make the gate and get away for 3pts, confidence will be up.. if not, who knows.
  19. Lets hope Nic brings his gating gloves.
  20. Nobody is turning anything. The bookies have you both at 2/1. So its a fact, not a Swindon fans assumption.
  21. Which is the more realistic scenario to be honest.
  22. I quite enjoyed them in 2009. Especially Zagar and Skornicki's TR's I see where you are coming from about winning the title at home.. but there's something special about clinching it away from home too Especially if a team clinched it at Poole
  23. Correct. And any changes are made at the AGM. Not at the end of the season.
  24. It may not seem fair, but it is fair as those are the rules the teams are racing under. It's too late to change them now, any such changes should be made at the AGM.
