Billy Hamill Farewell - Wolverhampton 22 March
BWitcher replied to SteveEvans's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I don't really question him being a real fan. He is a real Wolves fan no question. He just sometimes fails to see the hypocresy of his arguments towards those criticising Howe. Your idea of getting some of the older boys involved in meaningful races sounds fantastic Steve. -

Don't worry Mr Evans, all real Wolves fans appreciate Billys efforts for us and will be there to support his big day! -
Swc Round 2 Coventry 14th July
BWitcher replied to skid row's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Crazy comment when time and again the British riders MADE good starts and were overtaken by 2, sometimes 3 riders before the 3rd turn. -

Except it wasn't a gatefest. Bjere went from 4th to 1st in 2 of his races. Lindgren made several passes, as did Bjarne Pedersen, in addition to the above 3. In fact, I lost count of the countless times GB riders were overtaken. -

Wrong. -
Yep.. but thats the line at Prague. I was there that night, stood at the point of the impact, and in every heat a similar thing was happening. The track narrows at that point and there's a high likelihood if incidents. As for Cardiff, it was the referee's fault for not excluding Nicki. I don't buy the all 4 back idea. The incidents were caused by Nicki, he tried to come across, didn't make it and ran into another rider who would have been oblivious to his presence. Nicki staying down on the track is just professionalism. Only an idiot would get straight up... remember the last GP and Lukas Dryml?

** Cardiff Gp Music / Presentation **

No it isn't racism. Its a theme from a film. That is it. -
** Cardiff Gp Music / Presentation **
BWitcher replied to SpeedwayTShirts's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
That is the way forward. Themed music for riders should all be part of the show, as it is in other events such as WWE, Boxing, Darts etc in which the music is used as part of the show... and of course a very succesful part of the show. I have long wanted speedway to move forward in this area and am thankful that you have done this. -
** Cardiff Gp Music / Presentation **
BWitcher replied to SpeedwayTShirts's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Superbart, I thought the presentation was absolutely first class. Took my brother along, who hasn't been to speedway since about 1989 when he was 8 years old. He loved every minute and commented on how the presentation and music was so much part of the show. Just look at the interaction and reactions from the crowd to get your response. The majority complaining on here (and there are only a few) are the usual suspects who do nothing but whinge on every topic. 1st class job, hope you get the gig again next year! -

I think you'll find that almost the entire stadium was engaged and enjoying the music, it did work. -
Referee Needs To Go To Specsavers
BWitcher replied to sirmattyisbac's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I agree with you regarding the bias towards Nicki. All I am saying is, all 4 back should never have been considered. Nicki caused both incidents and should have gone. The length the tapes were being held is neither here nor there, no idea why you are going on about it. You stated that the result was given without a replay, it was not. And as for your murky theories, they are rubbish. He's just a rubbish referee. There is no benefit to the series in Nicki running away with things, if anything it would benefit from him having a bad night to bring others back into contention (as in the end has happened a little) and increase ticket sales in later GP's. -
Referee Needs To Go To Specsavers
BWitcher replied to sirmattyisbac's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Disagree with everything you say, apart from the bias towards Pedersen. The all 4 back should never have been a consideration. It was not bunching in either incident. As for holding the tapes longer.. whats the problem? There is no ruling over how long the tapes should be held. If anything it should be varied so that riders cannot predict it. Edited to add... The replay WAS watched before the result was announced. Just because the graphics came on screen declaring the result does not mean the result was declared. That was just TV production. In the stadium we were told we were waiting for the replay. -
Referee Needs To Go To Specsavers
BWitcher replied to sirmattyisbac's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No it shouldn't. The all 4 back rule is for BUNCHING. i.e. when several riders bunch together and one RUNS OUT OF ROOM. This was not the case, Pedersen had the entire track to ride on, but chose both times to ride into the side/back of other riders. -
Referee Needs To Go To Specsavers
BWitcher replied to sirmattyisbac's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What planet are you from? Bascially, all you have to do now off Gate 4 is ride across everyone until you hit the back or side of someone, at which point you go down and the OTHER rider gets excluded. Pathetic, no, Disgraceful decisions from the referee on both the Adams/Nicki & Bjarne/Nicki incidents. -
It wasn't a dirty move from Lukas in my opinion, however he caused the crash and should have been excluded. He is just out of his depth. He's out of control in most races and having to race over the edge to try and stay competitive. He will cause more crashes through over trying.

Hard Racing Or Dirty Riding?

What is interesting is Tony Steele confirmed he hadn't seen the incident from the right angle on the night and he could now see why people were suggesting Gollob was at fault. -

Advice On Using Easyjet Or Bmibaby For Trip To Gp
BWitcher replied to invadersfan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I have used both on a very regular basis as I fly to Portugal every other weekend. Never had any issues with either to be honest so you should be fine with either, just go with whichever fits your schedule best, unless there is a major price difference. Ryanair is often the cheapest of the 3, but it will depend upon which airport you are nearest too. -

No you don't Steve, as you rarely do. And once again, you make a fool of yourself. People were getting bored of TWO peoples opinonated stance. Not just mine. And after all, it was all finished.. until you piled in getting it all wrong! -
Hard Racing Or Dirty Riding?
BWitcher replied to Stephen JIM Owens's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think you will find we agreed above, but again Steve you don't read what people post. I'm quite happy. Everyone who has ridden a bike and has commented thinks Gollob's move was extremely dangerous. Apart from Rob's mysterious unquoted 'rider'. And Rob.. you might have earned a points decision, but stevebrum's support for you swayed the judges and I won by unanimous decision! And to repeat so you understand Steve... ROB AND I HAVE AGREED TO DISAGREE! -
Hard Racing Or Dirty Riding?
BWitcher replied to Stephen JIM Owens's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Interesting that its pretty much accepted that Steele had a nightmare GP with several bad decisions. Anyone can claim they have 'spoken' to a rider, as I did myself. However, I have backed up riders points of view with 5 who have stated in public that it was Gollobs fault. So far, you've provided 0. This reminds me of a court case in which case you'd be laughed out of court with your 'expert' Tony Steele witness. Anyway Rob, its been fun, but shall we just agree to disagree at this point? We don't want to break any records regarding length of a thread.. thats for Poole threads only! -
Hard Racing Or Dirty Riding?
BWitcher replied to Stephen JIM Owens's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Because Rob, it is the most dangerous move in speedway and nothing gets riders more incensed. I have seen it first hand following an almost exact same incident in 96 at Belle Vue. It is not up to AJ to avoid someone cutting across the front of him. You should only cut across someone if you are a clear bike length in front and it is safe to do so. Gollob wasn't. You can have an opinion, that is fine, all I have been doing is debating with you. What I object to is your constant references to having 'no knowledge of speedway' and 'speedway rules'. I also find it amusing how you avoid the fact that those who would truly know what is and isn't dangerous on a bike (i.e. riders) have condemned the move. -
Hard Racing Or Dirty Riding?
BWitcher replied to Stephen JIM Owens's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Rob, you sound more and more ridiculous every time you post. Now, as you are saying I don't understand the rules, please go and find me the rule in speedway that says that Gollob is allowed to change his line and in doing so wipe another rider out. I'll be waiting.. and waiting... and waiting. Why? Because there isn't one. There is no rule that says the rider in front can change his line, its a myth. As you have pointed out, it is a riders choice to change his line but if it involves wiping out another rider then he is at fault and should be excluded. What do you make of Jon Cooks comments? They seem highly scathing of Mr Gollob do they not? Is he another that has no knowledge? How about Graham Jones? Does he have no knowledge? -
Hard Racing Or Dirty Riding?
BWitcher replied to Stephen JIM Owens's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
More abuse Rob, is that the best you can manage? So, myself 90% of the contributors on here, Sam Ermolenko, Kelvin Tatum, Lee Richardson and now Jon Cook all have 'no knowledge of speedway' because Rob thinks he knows better. Here's another quote for you from Graham Jones, former Wolves rider. "Gollob thats one of the biggest no-no's in speedway - you *******" I suppose he has no knowledge about speedway either.
