On two fronts.....thats a blow for Darryl & Tom! I had thought that Darryl would still be behind Tom on the 2012 GS Averages until Tom had done 3 H & 3 A to get a 2012 GS Average of in excess of Ash's & close to Adam's! It now looks as if we have a minor miracle at #6 as if Tom is scoring freely at will at #4, what is he going to do at #6 with 7 starts a meeting until he gets a proper 2012 GS Average? By my knowledge I work that out to be until the end of August! As a Heathens fan I know that this is the Rules and it will probably benefit us, but is it the correct thing in the NL?

    Iow V Dudley

According to the Dudley Heathens web site in the preview they sat the following line up is expected..... I OF W: Warwick, Hopwood , Hughes, Baseby, Baseby, TBC, Starke. Dudley: Roynon, Greenwood, Perry, Bekker, Morris, Ritchings, White Williams. Good luck and a very safe night to both teams. Pity I will not see the Heathens on the Island this year like the last two, as my August holiday only has a NT match against Mildenhall lined up at the moment on a Thursday and the Tuesday night is free!
  3. I did not know when the new Green Sheets came into operation for us. If it is Tuesday on the Island, then that should strengthen the Heathens a bit today? If it is tonight.......give it a good go and hope we get a point! Anyway, good luck to all the 14 lads and may the best team win
  4. Two things....Tom has only competed in 4 NL matches so far in 2012 & Adam has such a super average as he has yet to get hurt for the first time in at least 4/5 years before the end of April! James is where he should be.....at reserve and Dan is where he deserves to be, in the main body of the team!

Top 10 Riders On Current Form

From what I understand of the 2012 Rules in the NL, only Tom has an 2011 declared average at Dudley after Tuesday, he is close to being at #6 although that will not happen unless Daryll managed to put him there after Tuesday night! Other teams who have managed to beat the weather this year should be in the same position after sometime this week......who knows???

Top 10 Riders On Current Form

Some of those 2012 Declarations must be out of date as Dudley should soon have a set of new Green Sheet averages after Tuesday night against Scunthorpe. So, by assumption, other teams must, by now, have ridden 3H & 3A to get 2012 Green Sheet averages for some of the riders if that is how they are being calculated this year. Hope I am correct with this.

    Track Records

Adam Roynan did just that in Heat 6 of the Dudley v Scunthorpe NL match at Monmore Green on the 17th July 2012 and recorded a new NL Record of 56.26 seconds around Monmore Green

    Heathens V Buxton 26/6/12

I think that you will find it was a draw over the two Legs for the 2012 Staffs Cup or Challenge. 47-43 to Stoke @ Stoke & 47-43 to Dudley & Monmore Wood I can't wait to see Mildy & Stoke back at the 'Wood tho this year, as it seems it will be NL, KOC & Play Offs if my dreams come true!
  9. Yet another mighty fine post! Well done sir
  10. Well said 21st Century Heathen whoever you are. It sums up my feeling perfectly!
  11. I am a Heathens supporter and always will be! Have you seen this......... Richie Worrall - 0, 2, 2', 2^ = ?? Plus another ride at King's Lynn tonight? He's in 3 UK leagues ! Slag him off and leave Adam & the Heathens alone will you?
  12. Nice to see that you are not anti Adam or Dudley.....but the system is doing the job for the top NL riders. Another bit of info, did you know that Ash Morris & Darryl Ritchings have limited EL experience at Wolves & Swindon and it has helped them as well?

    Buxton V Dudley 17/6/12

That is a blow for Jayne and the rest at High Edge......who can they use and quick? Hope Michael heals fast.

Could not have put it better than this myself

    Buxton V Dudley 17/6/12

I had to ask as I know one of Tom Perry's sponsors, the one on his kevlar's leg, and he has spoken about having hordes of Heathens 2012 vintage at his place on Saturdays! Keep up the good work and you never know you may be helping our #1 in 2013 if Tom isn't! Or better still, to wind some up.....he could be in the NL, PL & EL in 2013........forgot I suppose Dudley, Berwick plus other PL (G) & Wolves EL (G) already counts as done 3 leagues this year!

    Buxton V Dudley 17/6/12

Perhaps we should change our name to 'Dudley, the one to pick on from a far when other barrack room lawyers do not know what is going on at the Heathens!' Sorry, sarcasm is my strong point, I am & always will be a Heathens fan By the way, well 771Neil, are you the same Niel who rode speedway years ago for a certain team who are my chosen second team and assist someone, a Heathen, I cheer for at Monmore Wood and rode for Berwick last week? If you are, thanks for the entertainment that you provided and he provides!

    Buxton V Dudley 17/6/12

Jayne, as a life long Heathens fan and a part time Buxton fan, I admire your ethos at Buxton which I think is the correct way to go for many teams. Another Adam Allott, James Mann, Armo, Dean Felton, Nick Morris, etc will come along sometime sooner rather than later. Perhaps the BSPA is to blame in the end as the rather silly rule about the over 30's should be abolished ASAP and then any rider with the correct average would be available for all the teams. The NL seems to be at a cross roads......train or stand alone? Perhaps canvassing the BSPA to change the rules might help for the future but, alas, not for today. Keep up the good work and prepare the lads for the next home match!
  18. Yes, a very nice 8.5 ish & a delightful 5 ish at Coventry and a rather cool 11 ish at Dudley........WONDERFUL for British Speedway Garrity was not full time PL in 2011 by the way he was #1 at NL Belle Vue & dropped by Leicester.
  19. Stop being a wind up merchant and ask Uncle Len to sign a first class rider for the Raiders instead of using what he is......by the way Jason Garrity did ride for Belle Vue's EL side a few times in 2011 and flopped! As I have said before......IF THE AVERAGE and RULES fit.................use them, they do in Sweden
  20. berniev123

    Garrity A Raider?

From my daughter's sporting experience in her day on an Olympic Squad , a very thick piece of cork between the shoulders & deaf ears help a great dealing with your eventual progress as a lot of rubbish is spoken in psychlogical jealosy about you by you peers and older competitors Go for it Robert, wear what you feel is correct and 'Ommer 'Em!

    Nl Fours

When we have someone like Adam in the team we have to accept this problem as it was pointed out by the management when the 2012 season started.......worse possible problem would be if Tom was required by Somerset for a rearranged match on the same day as well. I presume that Rye will be in the same boat as well with no Jason Garrity at number 1?
  22. berniev123

    Garrity A Raider?

Have to agree with this part of what you said. Without top class riders of any age in the NL, call it what you want, it will die. Newcomers cannot learn the black art side of speedway. The BSPA and some posters on here do not know, and never will know, this in my opinion. So leave the double/triple uppers alone and go and watch their developing skills, rumour suggest that in Sweden you can ride in 3 Leagues without any problem so why not in the UK?

    Track Records

Has anyone updated Dudley at 'Monmore Wood' NL track record? Adam Roynon (Dudley Heathens) clocked 56.76 in winning Heat 1 on Tuesday night, May 08, 2012, . He smashed well over half a second (closer to 0.8!) from Lee Smart’s previous Monmore Wood NL record set way back in 2010. Hope it is in the Dudley programme when we race against King's Lynne in our next match.

    Tim Webster

The Tim Webster problem could not have happened to a nicer set of people in British Speedway. From my many visits to High Edge as a Hitman fan when Adam Allott was still a young lad and as a Heathens fan I have always found Jayne, Richard & the late Ken Moss great people! Now I have said that....I thought Lee Smart was still too injured with a shoulder problem to ride league speedway in 2012 according to the Speedway Star so changed to Short Track where he got hurt again? Hope I am wrong!
