So if Lee Dicken and Ryan Burton don't pitch up, I'm not entirely sure how they will go on.
With Rider Replacement already operating, if they lose 2 more they'll be left with the Raj Quartet.
-
Tried to read the Jason Pipe mega-paragraph about the Birmingham match.
One question....who is Raj? Have Buxton signed an Indian? I know they've signed a few cowboys, but I didn't know about the Indian.
-
Isn't there supposed to be a rule that riders can only ride in the Final when they have done a certain amount of the league matches?
I have had a quick check through the results, found all but one. (couldn't find one Coventry result)
The riders who deserve to be in the final by number of MDL league appearances are:-
Coventry
Mitchell Beckett 8. Aaron Butcher 6. Kyle Roberts 4. Henry Atkins 4.
Buxton
Sam Wright 8. Josh Embleton 5. Connor Fletcher 3. William O'Keefe 3.
The riders actually in the final with number of MDL league appearances are:-
Coventry
Kyle Roberts 4. Henry Atkins 4. Connor Dwyer 1. Jamie Halder has never ridden for Coventry, but rode for Buxton once!
Buxton
William O'Keefe 3. Ryan Burton 2. Ben Basford and Tom Brennan have never ridden for Buxton at all.

Think it's going to be a close one.
Heart says Belle Vue. (99 times out of 100 I want the table toppers to take the title)
Head says Wolves will just nick it.
Think Thorsell could be a big player tonight to help Wolves to a decent lead. Lindgren and Wuffy's ability around Belle Vue will enable them to defend that lead on Wednesday
-
well this going to be strange for sky, a final and no poole , they will be upset...
Don't worry. Mr Shouty and Contact Kelv will just adopt Plan B. That is constantly shouting "Wuffy, Wuffy Wuffy...."

Found the answers. Ritchins and Smith both taken ill with Flu and stomach bugs today. The two 3.00 riders had to be drafted in at the last minute.
-
Joe Lawlor is a Belle Vue MDL rider. Stephen Whitehouse is a Kings Lynn MDL rider. That makes them look like "guests" to me. Whatever happened to Emerson Jones who was signed as a "squad rider / #8" at the start of the season?
A guest is a member of another NL team's 1-7.
Instead of using 2 more guests, Birmingham chose to give track time to two 3.00 MDL riders.
This I already know. My question was what happened to Ritchens and Smith? Are they injured?
-
More like 3 guests and Rider Replacement. It's back to 2007 all over again.
The Brummies actually only used 1 guest and R/R, choosing to promote two 3.00 riders instead for the others, but why were Ritchins and Smith missing? Are they injured?
-
There you go!
It is a bit worrying that the two Brummies reserves have higher averages than all our team except our guest.
The Birmingham reserves have a higher average than your guest too.

Doyle before was a pre-Madonna

Im beginning to think hes been banned, no less than he deserved though for the amount of name calling hes done on here recently!
Starry hasn't been banned. He's still trying to add up the aggregate scores. He's going to be gutted when he finds out.

Hope they get some decent refs in for this, as a dodgy decision could decide it!
Certainly did last year with gogglegate.
Think this could be a classic final between the two top stand-out teams of the season.
Wouldn't even like to predict the winners of each leg. I think Belle Vue are capable of winning at Wolves, but with Lindgren and Woffy being specialists at the NSS, I think Wolves are equally capable of winning at Belle Vue.
It's going to be tense.
-
The big issue is the pzm demanding riders sign a deal to ride extraleague and only one other league. This is all riders not just Poles.
Don't worry. The Poles will never work out who Poole's actual 1-7 is on a weekly basis.

He's a good lad is Kyle Newman.
British, solid and loyal to his local team. The sport would be better if every club had 3 or 4 local Kyle Newman's in their team instead of some of the foreign dross that clogs up the leagues.
Sure, he's been in the draft too long, but that's not his fault. He doesn't make up the sport's rules (Matt Ford does).
Well done Kyle

Can someone go check on starman please.
There's a Starman waiting in the sky
He's told us not to blow it
'Cause he.......
....Oh bugger.....blown it.

So your real name is Starman2006? Staggering coincidence the field of work you ended up in isn't it.
Yes, it's true. Mr & Mrs Man2006 christened him "Star" in the hope that he might be a bit brighter.

King's average is too high isn't it for Lindback?
It's not difficult to get Lindback's average reassessed.
-
And the current world champion came in on a 7.03, only in speedway.
Erm..no. He didn't come in on an assessed average at all. That's his real average. You know, points scored / rides taken x 4.
Lindback's last real average was 7.94 which would have been fair and very close to the correct assessed average for a rider of his standard i.e. 8.00

To CVS and Peter Adams from all right-thinking speedway fans in the country...
-
At a time when the sport is struggling for money, I hope Matt Ford is able to get a full refund on Bjarne's flight ticket for today...
...What do you mean "he hadn't got a ticket booked"?

Cook is definitely out.
Think BSPA are waiting until the last minute to say so, so that they can just cover with the track reserves.
