I chuckled when this forum debated Michaels last misdemeanour, thinking if only you all knew. These further allegations and charges are not representative of the Michael I know never the less public comment ought to be carefully controlled because the circles that Michael worked in could mean that the alleged victims have access to this domain and in reality could be forum members.

I've googled this lot, what is the connection with Birmingham Speedway? Roy Whiting rode cycle speedway for Crawley Eagles and subsequently went on to kidnap, assault and sadly end the life of Sarah Payne, Mick Green also rode for Crawley Eagles and there was some sort of appeal a couple of years ago from Sussex Police for information linked to Crawley Eagles and Alan Brown was a convicted time served offender known as the whistling rapist who also rode cycle speedway for Norwich and Coventry so why raise it on this thread?

It's beginning to sound like you have a vested interest not like you to be looking at the world with one eye.

The simple fact that the MCF/Organisers have refused to acknowledge the SCB announcement by amending their website is indicative of their position, they profess to have been planning this for 12 months yet have not consulted with the ACU/SCB/BSPA and now 2 Promotions and 6 riders are publicly compromised yet they continue to humiliate them. Their contempt has really left the SCB/ACU/BSPA with very little option, had the MCF/Organisers come up with a plan to genuinely support British youth with this they would have had Morris, Vatcher and the rest lending their support. The BSPA and SCB are both guilty of not shouting loud enough about their support of young Brits, the training grants, subsidising all of the Youth Championships, the financial contributions to the Youth Development schemes and at long last financial support for the Darren and Sharon Boocock scholarship are just some areas of improvement over the last couple of seasons.

Over a week ago but the organisers seem to be in denial and have continued to announce riders, perhaps that is why the SCB were put in a situation where they had to issue a public statement.

I can't understand why those who don't know believe they do know when someone who does know tells them the facts!

Bit of an over-reaction there chap, maybe I was questioning the official status of the events without using the words you would have done but seeing as plenty of other people are unsure too I still smell a rat. Now if that's negative it's because I don't see this following what I consider to be adequate protocol with the launch and PR but we'll see if all the other ACU and SCB protocols have been followed in due course.

For the paying customers to see and hear that their admission money has not been paid to riders in a timely fashion is an absolute outrage, this man has dragged the sport into the gutter as far as integrity goes. It is an open secret that most of the team are owed money, some of it substantial, guest riders will not have been paid and I'll wager there are monies owed to other clubs and the authorities. Lets be honest (sic) most of last nights admission money would have been in cash and if he couldn't allocate £500 to prevent his rider kicking off and to prevent his customers witnessing the same he has got it so, so wrong. Clearly he cannot make ends meet and instead of blagging his way through he should call a halt and stop running up debts he cannot currently pay for if he continues to trade with everybody else's money he could take others out with him. The BSPA may be allowing him to continue for the good of the Premier League and the sport in Plymouth but should he make the end of the league season he cannot possibly be allowed to run a speedway club ever again and the BSPA must remove his licence forever. I have not mentioned the trouser incident at all but no doubt Montie will.
