    LOUIS AND NORRIS GO WILD

Well in my opinion Mr Morris and Mr Westacott should be out Welsh wildcards But as you say, lets not go there

    LOUIS AND NORRIS GO WILD

Top British Riders in Elite League are: Norris Loram Nicholls Grieves (From quite a few less rides) Havelock Bird Hurry (Only a few rides) Richardson Louis Havelock and Bird are much more deserving than Louis. Norris is an obvious one as he is the top Brit at the moment lol. Havelocks average is over a point higher than Louis' while Danny Bird's is just under 1 point higher! Stats from Speed Web X Averages
  3. Tough looking line-up. Hopefully Kyle will give it his best shot and go back to Canada happy. Has an outside chance of qualifying I feel if he gets some luck.
  4. Have just heard that Scotty has pulled out and will be replaced by number 27, Rafel Dobrucki. (Joonas K is riding Grasstrack in France and Simon S is injured) So the first heats are: 1 - Loram, Jonsson, Andersen, Svab 2 - B Pedersen, Dobrucki, L Dryml, Barth 3 - Sullivan, Max, Hampel, A Dryml 4 - Brhel, Holta, Protasiewicz, Laukkanen --- --- 9 - Adams, Gollob, N Pedersen, Jensen 10 - Crump, Rickardsson, Hancock, Richardson I havent heard anything else on Scotty just that he is replaced by Rafel.
  5. Its gotta be Crump Adams Rickardsson Pedersen

    GP excel sheet

I have one which I think was created by Steve Turner? Anyways, I have uploaded it and you can download it here Complete with Saturdays line-up. Simply put the numbers 1 2 3 4 into the position bit and they move into the next stages... Magic
  7. Final consisting of > Mikael Max, Rune Holta, Jason Crump & Tony Rickardsson. 1st - Jason Crump 2nd - Tony 3rd - Rune 4th - Mikael (Thats £14 in the sweepstake for me Go Rune/Jason!)
  8. Tom, wild cards are definately Kasprzak and Kurmanski. OK
  9. lol, so nobody knows who the wildcards are! I'm pretty sure that on the SGP site it said Kurmanski & Kasprzak. Now they back-track! Oh the Professionalism of the sport
  10. Rafal is actually one of the reserves for the series so maybe that excludes him? No because last year David Howe was reserve and rode as a wildcard for Cardiff and then in Krsko as a reserve.

    Wild cards for Prague GP

Robert Barth and Antonin Svab ??? Not good at all! The likes of Fencl & Suchanek are surely better options as they are two of CZ's top young riders! And what about Topinka who reached the semis last year?! If the reason for Barth was to put more bums on seats from across the border in Germany, then surely the likes of Schultz are better (in that he is the German champion!)
  12. What about Rafel Dobrucki? I know his form in the Polish league hasn't been great so far this year but he has been flying for Oxford.

    SKY

The one day a week option seems to be popular but it does have the major problem in that the majority of stadiums are not owned by the speedway tracks as they are in Sweden/Poland and at some stadiums speedway is 3rd down the pecking order behind stock cars and greyhounds. Would be interesting to see which days each stadium in the Elite League is used for other sports to see if this is at all viable?
  14. Fredrick Lindgren & Peter Ljung
  15. The Top Brits if you go by Elite Averages as of today. Then it is: Danny Bird - 9.07 Chris Neath - 8.80 Closely followed by Stuart Robson - 8.31 David Norris - 8.00 Last years wildcards are currently David Howe - 7.00 Chris Harris - 5.33 Simon Stead - N/A Obviously its early days, but Danny and Chris are performing well at both EL & PL level.

    Gustrow & Teterow this weekend

AFAIK Lubos is riding, don't know about anybody else.
  17. Interesting, I'd have gone for Lindback if I was the one making the choices. I expect he will get Gothenburg instead?

    2005/2006 GP Qualification

AFAIK, it'll be the format being used for this year's WC qualifiers. This is the traditional 20-heat format, with the top 8 progressing to knockout semi-finals and a final. A knockout format for 16 riders is not really practical as it would result in too few heats (14). That isn't going to be very good! I assume that each position will result in x ammount of points? Therefore some riders come the end of the meeting will be in a situation where it doesn't really matter. Is there not a better system? It could run with the knockout system having D,C,B & A finals resulting in 17(?) heats, still not enough i suppose.

    2005/2006 GP Qualification

Any news yet on the actual GP format from 2005 and onwards. All the formats people have come up with so far have been good but would see many pointless races. Is a knockout formula possible?
  20. For my new website www.speedwebx.co.uk/averages i am looking for somebody to input all the results from the leagues in Europe to do the averages for all leagues on this site. I will be running Elite & Premier in Britian but cannot keep track of all European results as well. All I need is somebody for each country simply inserting results into a spreadsheet and then uploading/emailing it every week so i can have the averages on site. contact: thaines@btopenworld.com
