  1. because ,im told[ but not straight from the horses mouth so to speak],that, the SCB threatened a fine for bringing speedway into distripute,so to avoid the fine Danny was put back in how the hell taking a lad out of the firing line and giving another youngster the chance is doing that ill never know,it was clearly visable last night the lad is really struggling and with several NL riders calling desperate for the a change in the CL i makes it all the more stupid fair play to Phillips for turning up i guess, so dispite being totally off the pace last night again credit due to him for that
  2. That is not correct, the BSPA did not block the move it was the SCB who was involved
  3. id say protecting them for up coming meetings, which was a smart thing to do if the case Dispite coming 3rd in heat 15 Rasmus rode a blinder in that heat, an what a race it was
  4. it isnt an illegal move to fire a rider, you just cant redeclare your 1-7
  5. thats simply not true you can fire anyone at at anytime you just cant re declare and have to use NL guests
  6. Rumoured....correct i think if you look at the timing Scunny didnt have a Friday fixture without being back to full strength so what was you excuse being being late last year? was that Scunnys fault too?
  7. although you are correct,Workington actually pulled two home meeting themselves[ which i agree was 100% right thing to do] due to rider availablity, and one/some of the agrred Friday fixtures had riders missing due to other things such as U21`S SGP quals etc and it wouldnt have been impossible for the previous mentioned fixture bonanaza as the meetings im speaking of were home fixtures, not affect on the Comets at all An after playing catch up last year seems no lessons have been learned by anyone im not sure when they were pulled but looking back it seems late June/early July
  8. you didnt start the season until 14/4 and ran two meetings up to the start of June you were behind on fixtures from the get go,,,,,,and same as last season, playing catch up now dont get me wrong,i dont really agrree with the call to pull your fixtures,i think it was unfair, but the blame cannot be soley laid at not being allowed to run on those two or three fridays 2 meetings by 1st june at Derwent Park whereas Scunny ran 5,Sheff ran 6,Redcar 6,Berwick 6,P`Boro 5 there lies the problem but to add some balance i dont know about Satium availablity during the first 2 months of the season
  9. why did you take Dale Lamb to Glasgow on a Friday earlier in the season? ironic isnt it
  10. Fabulous meeting on a fabulous race track and that heat 13 wow just wow
  11. indeed..a fine season and an interesting fixture head,Scunny judged edged in on ag in the league but be closer this time i feel
  12. strange i thought the payment problems were reported before the moving of race nights?
  13. at least he pays unlike some eh!!
  14. I would say Fridays performance has alot to do with it,the lad was way off the pace and the crowd were getting on his back which is quite unpleasant to see and hear Scunny fans are normally quite a calm lot but what i heard on Friday was not good,im pleased hes out of the firing line to be honest
  15. Tom Bacon`s performance earlier in the season at Scunny was one of the best performances ive seen by a visiting rider this season, the lad was excellent
  16. to be fair Bickley seems to be showing signs of improvement now which is good, where as Danny was going backwards recently
  17. Congratulations Craig Cook Couldn't make it today but sounded like another good meeting with some good racing
  18. 99.9%of folk from outside wouldn't have a bloody clue what your moaning about so your point is flawed What most folk from outside would have thought last night was what great racing that was a fab night's entertainment
  19. Even though FRN was hailed as a good thing by many and voted for at the AGM?
  20. No meant as this was a re arranged fixture, When sunny offered the tigers this date they could have declined it as Shanes wasn't there
  21. Totally correct.. But when a meeting is re-arranged there needs to be some flexibility Would be nice to think that in the future maybe the two promotions can sort it out between themselves.. Rather that rules rules rules EG. Sheffield could quite rightly have said no we ain't coming that day as Shanes isn't available.. So if the home promotion are OK with them using RR rather than a NL wobbler to make the meeting more attractive then maybe that's ok Be nice in the future for both teams to make the call themselves and try and keep speedway as competitive as it can be.. Just like the meeting was last night It really isn't good for our sport when a rule overshadows the reason we all turned up last night.. Good hard competitive racing
  22. becarefull SK,you might just be talking to much sense there and prevent folk from talking about what a fantastic meeting we saw last night
  23. The statement from Lakeside seems a positive one which I hope is good news for both supporters of Lakeside and Rye House going forward
  24. Sure.. But i don't really care about the wrongs and rights to be honest.. I go to watch 4 loons going at it on an oval track and to be entertained.. And tonight I did that and was treated to some excellent entertainment Again.. Well done both sets of riders.. A great night's racing
