Niamh I am in no doubt that the track wasn't ideal. I haven't doubted that. What I said was Tai taking out Nicki in a similar fashion twice in 3 GPs would be seen as coincidence by some but others may wonder if it is something more sinister.

All had to move over? Ofcourse they did Vaculik laid it down when he saw Tao heat seeking Nicki and let's face it there's no way nicki was staying on his bike after Tao hit him. So where you get they all were moved wide from I don't know.
It took so long for an exclusion light as many referees especially in GPs prefer to wait until all riders involved are checked and are concious out of respect before showing a light. This can also allow extra time to view footage. If as you say it was a minor incident (Freddie didn't touch tai) made worse by the track I'm afraid that is Tais fault. You can't blame Freddie for tai not handling conditions. Especially since he didn't touch him.
One day we are going to see Tai excluded in similarly dubious circumstances and you will all be screaming blue murder because it happens to be tai on the receiving end.

Arson fire twice in the space of 3 GPs Tai has taken Nicki out with riding right through his back wheel. Some will call it coincidence and some will wonder otherwise. Freddie didn't touch Tai, he was also under control while attempting to pull off his pass. At no point does Freddie or his bike change direction as though correcting himself from hitting Tai. Let's face it if he did infact hit Tai hard enough to cause such a drastic change of direction there would have been a reaction to Freddies riding position. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

So at what point does it stop being Freddies tap and become Tais riding? Into the 4th bend? Out the 4th? Into the 1st? At some point the blame shifts. Not that I think Freddie touched him.
Take Nicki two weeks he was hit and was drifting wide in the final, and due to the injury to his arm he could no longer hold on. Why was that not KKs fault? At what point did it stop being KK and become Pedersen?

Why wouldn't I be Adam? Tao bailed at the first sign of a tussle in the bend. There is no way in a month of Sunday's Freddie hit him hard enough to send him across the track in the manner that Tai did.

But if it was Tai coming up the inside Freddie would have taken a dive/ faked it/ bottled it/ couldn't handle it/ etc etc. Wrong call, Tao was at fault.

I too was there. As I said previously any contact that may have been was minimal and is seen hundreds of times with no rider crossing the whole width of the bend and plowing into an opponent. Just happens to be the same opponent he ploughed into two GPs ago.

No what I mean is that buckling to pressure knowing that excluding a rider from his home gp is taboo he instead used the only rider in the area as a scape goat. Two sources state there was NO contact between the two riders.

I take it you haven't seen the lengthy debate on that subject in the British gp thread. Just so you know your talking tripe, the one major decision he had to make he bottled it.

I don't think Cook did any worse than any other track reserve anywhere else would do at that stage. The riders he was up against had been racing the track, they knew how it had changed, they knew where the lines were, the ruts etc. It can't be easy to step in at that level over half way through a meeting and seriously expect to compete. Same with Auty. Cook would be a great addition to the England team (sorry I mean great britain) For too long fb have fielded the same faces over and over with no success. They wait until these guys are mid 20s instead of breaking them in earlier and giving them that experience. Cook is an exception as he is new to the sport so was around to be selected in his teens.
This topic will ultimately lead back to early years training and the sheer lack of facilities. Until that changes no GB team are going to compete on the world stage at a consistently high level. There may be spikes in performance where there is a few good riders appear but there will be little to no real talent to back that up.

I was happy with the profit made from Emil winning but would have preferred the returns had nicki won.

Agreed both done well after being thrown in at the deep end.
Not bothered that is was Tai more the fact that the decision was awful. I would say the same had it been Lindback in Gothenburg, or Hampel in Torun etc. I feel the decision was swayed by the rider and venue and not by the actual incident.

Why because I didn't see the incident through the same bias glasses as a lot of the others on here. You know its amusing that it is ok to say anything you want about certain riders but dare speak bad of the "British pin up boy" and that ain't allowed. I have now read two different sources both stating no contact was made between Freddie and Tai. I bet if Tao was where Freddie was and Freddie was the one that flew across the bend Tai would have been innocent and would have been totally in the right and no contact made.
Was great to see the cookie monster get two rides though. So wasn't all bad

Reckless? What trying to make a pass that any other rider would have went for. Maybe time for Tai to man up and stop riding like a woman. This after all is the World Championship. Riders will go for gaps. We could say Tai came down on Freddie, maybe he knew Freddie was having him. But then that couldnt possibly be true as that would mean Tai being to blame.

Was posting a comment and my net dropped out, joys of motorway travel. Just read the gp website and they state NO contact was made between Freddie and Tai so i find it difficult to understand how Freddie could have gave him a nudge or pushed him out. If Tai didnt ride into the side/back of riders he wouldnt be injured right now. What about the twice he has now injured Nicki? It was just sheer bad luck that both times have been Pedersen?
I never said the ref worked for a nation. He does however answer to the FIM and probably at some point to BSI/IMG they care only about attendance and money. Therefore its not a good idea to make decisions against home riders if there is the opportunity to blame someone else, step forward Freddie Lindgren.

Could you imagine the speed at which GPs would die if Cardiff, the biggest event in speedway was cancelled on the day of the event.
nw24 im fully aware of that but it wasnt a Swedish GP. It was Tais home gp, poor ref was probably terrified he would never ref another gp if he dared exclude Tai. Instead poor Freddie was used as the scape goat and still got further than Tai

Nothing to do with him being English, however i wonder if that swayed the refs decision. I have watched the incident several times today and i still cant see where Freddie apparent hit him with such force that it sent him flying across the bed. I also wonder if it is infact coincidence that both times Tai has wiped someone out it has been Nicki Pedersen. I am not surprised Nicki is blaming Tai he let the last one go as a racing incident. This time he must be wondering what Tai is thinking about.

I seem to remember Tai at Edinburgh in the televised meeting taking out Wethers leg and front wheel. He was excluded when Stormy went down. His reply in an interview was "Wethers should grow a pair and stop riding like a woman" or words to those effect. Maybe Tai should man up. If there was contact between Freddie and Tai it was minimal at most. Not enough to cause Tai to fly across the bend and take out Nicki as he did. Ref got that wrong, i wonder if it was another gp at another track if Tai would have been out.

Ok i know no one will agree as Tai is the peoples sweetheart. But what the hell was the ref thinking excluding Freddie lastnight. Tai was clearly the cause of the incident and has now wiped Nicki out twice this season. Im thinking Tai maybe doesnt like Nicki much.

Does anyone know what time the oak tree opens its gates. Also what time they start serving food in the club house or somewhere near by that is good to eat. We are planning on getting to the stadium earlier this year to avoid traffic.

Blazeaway I was using my phone whilst in the car, I see your pedantic enough to pick out one typo. Steve E i think your issue is like man others that they just have a dislike of anything Nicki. Anyway i have finally got home after a long journey, so i shall bid you all farewell and hope the refereeing decisions get better and stop favouring home gp riders.
