  1. It seems nothing has changed on the world of Speedway!

Sheffield have a huge mountain to climb because Belle Vue were allowed a ringer!  Robert Lambert? Seriously!

It's the same that us Bees fans had to deal with when we were being shafted by Matt Ford's  Poole pirates.  The good guys won in the end!

    Good luck Sheffield Tigers.

    We hate cheats!

I thought Wright was at fault there as he leaned to the left.

That’s such a crap call, a 5-1 here and aces could run away with this

Well I read what Torben had to say ...

    1) Cardiff would be more attractive nearer the business end of the Championship where the meeting could be more 'vital' in the title race

    2) moving away from the 'holiday season' will allow more fans to attend and this would be specifically the case for 'locals'

    3) the later date should have a 'positive effect' on accommodation price.

I cannot help being sceptical about his words though ....

I have never heard anyone say they avoided attending Cardiff due to it being too early in the title chase but would suddenly do so if it were only 'more vital'.

Most Cardiffs have been last week June to second week July which is generally not holiday season for most people.

Goodness know why 'local' Cardiff folk would suddenly start attending in September when they have studiously avoided doing so for 18 years before .

And I fully expect that the hotels will screw everyone in September just the same as July, especially as the Uni accommodation may be unavailable as well.

I presume the Stadium is just not being offered to them any earlier than September for other reasons and he is just spinning it the best way he can.

    PS

I am fine with September ... Just a little less BS from BSI would be nice.

    No1)  I agree with

The prices at the hotels get hiked when there is an event on. I can't see the time of year will make a difference....

As for local interest?  oh please!

Steve as in a lot of your posts you manage to include some provocational bolleaux. I'd say crowd this year was a few thousand down . The minority sport of association football will knock a fair few more off  as will even less accommodation being available. I already know of nearly 20 people who won't be going until they find out 2019/20 football fixtures in mid june.

The only saving grace will be if it's the last GP and title still on the line.

For me and hubby, Cardiff is a weekend away with our mates, it's not just about the Speedway. We don't have any interest in Football, but a lot of our friends do, so with five of them already saying it will depend on the Footy fixtures, or a flat " No, I won't be going" which I completely understand, it's going to be a damp squib, cheaper no doubt, but it isn't that attractive at the moment. I'm sure when we know what the proposed schedule is and it when it gets nearer the time, people will jump on board, but for now, my enthusiasm level is non existent........

Just had my email- thought i was getting it yesterday - and it looks as if price has gone up for a cat 1 ticket to £110 which is a serious amount of money !!!

anyone else seen an increase ?

Yes, Cat 2 have gone up too. We won't be buying tickets until the footy fixtures are out  next year now anyway! We certainly don't feel the need to have the same seats....

Lambert was pure class and a cut above the rest of the field.

The thing that Lambert has done other than other young Brits is that he has rode on the continent from a very young age.

Moving Team GB forward we need to get our young riders not only riding in this country but on the continent as well.

    Well done Robert Lambert.

He's been lambasted for it too. His parents even more !!  I  know little about Robert's set up. I'm really not interested in the whole world of a Speedway rider. I pay money to watch them,  (or did) .I've never felt the need to know everything about them. The last week has shown he is part of the future.
