Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
phillipsr replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
But now he is its his responsibility he maximises his earning potential and if he earns more for less meetings abroad good luck to him, I honestly don't believe if someone was offered more money for less they work they would turn but people expect Sports men and women to As for sky money he obviously didn't deem it enough to do all the travelling and put up withal the crap that comes with riding in the Elite League that's his prerogative and doesn't really change anything, -

Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
phillipsr replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No, don't think he would make any difference to attendances etc, Leagues would still be dreadfully run, im not convinced a thing would change (Never has before) -
Agreed but just further proves he was never a top drawer rider
-
Why the massive over reaction? Ashby was ok but was never a top level rider thats just an honest view

Of course it could cost, 1 bad GP can cost you the world title, its terrible planning and anyone who actually wants to be the best would do the same

Ah the old I know better because I've been alive longer, brilliant argument. As others have said greats are remembered and known despite age. I know lots of older riders... the ones whose names transcends time as they truly were great riders, -
