  1. It's not - it was titled the Elite Riders Championship this year, apparently now changed to the Elite Open Riders' Championship
  2. That's an anti-climax by anyone's standards.....................
  3. It seems there are two or three threads now!
  4. I was tempted to post it in every section but didn't want to incur the wrath of the mods - as the meeting is to raise money to support the youngsters I posted it here!

    Italian Grand Prix

A well-deserved championship for Tomasz. After a slow start in the first GP (in Poland to give the lie to any home-country conspiracy theories), nine double-figure scores (three in the 20s) tell their own story. Jason Crump's 10-year record is something to savour too. It would have been nice to have seen the final race on Sky last night............ :-(

    Sgp Challenge Final

    A race-off for 1st place too
  11. It was the usual three-tier podium, but only one team appeared.
  12. I thought Fisher shut-off on the line (frustration?) as Masters was still racing to the finish.
  13. It would have been better still Rob, but no-one came to our part of the Grandstand.
  14. Beautiful morning in Peterborough!
  15. Prepare to be disappointed again - the 12.30am recording I have starts with an hour of rugby and ends just after the Gollob/Sayfutdinov incident.......... Where do we see Heats 17-20 and the finals now?
  16. I agree that speedway isn't in a position to call the shots, but to prevent access to all Virgin subscribers is taking Sky's competitiveness to a new low. I had a houseful of friends round this evening, and laid on food to enjoy the GP with both long-term fans and 'newbies'. What a waste of effort, we ended up watching the Somerset match from Monday only to find that that transmission chopped off on the last bend of Heat 15! Oh well, just goes to prove that there's no substitute for live racing - off to the Showground tomorrow weather permitting.

    How Good Was This Race?

Great racing, and typical of the standard in the National League. Those who haven't seen a NL meeting yet - you are missing a treat!

    Plymouth V Kings Lynn

It was a milestone night for Jake. He rode at No 3 for his first heat-leader slot, and took Black and White for a tactical ride and rode in Heat 15 both for the first time. Add in a rider replacement ride in Heat 1 and that score looks even more impressive! Well done Jake
