    World Under21s Meeting

Riders have been sent away and told to reconvene at 5pm (4pm BST) for a briefing. If it doesn't go ahead today they (I presume they means the FIM and the Gorican Club) are talking of running tomorrow at 9am. Rain never eased all night and is currently heavier than yesterday. Oddly enough, it's the first rain-off in 29 meetings.
  5. Well Done to Lewis Bridger on winning Floppy's Farewell.

Live Updates from the Gorican Qualifying Round can be found here: http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ind&action=display&thread=6442 It does look like this won't go ahead though as the 1pm practice was cancelled as was the 2pm and 4pm practices. FIM Jury are insisting if there's no practice then there's no meeting as 6 of the field have never ridden there before. The Club say they are happy to wait until 10pm if necessary.

  14. You'd have to assume it'll be the same 16 riders that started the meeting. Whilst the inclusion of Auty and Mear would strengthen the field it'd be mightily unfair on Richard Lawson and Kyle Howarth to be denied the chance of riding in their domestic final....but no doubt someone at Head Office will do the opposite.

  16. Meeting now, apparantly, has to be re-run as all riders have to have 4 rides before the result stands. Thank the lord Squall stayed in the bar for a pint.
  17. Meeting Abandoned after 12 heats. Poured down with rain. God knows who qualifies but Nicholls and Frampton finished on 9, Allen on 7, Wright and Tully on 6 so they should be certs. King, Barker, Robson and Hall all finished on 5 which makes the top 9. Woffinden and Ashworth will miss out as they finished on 4.

8 riders have already been seeded (Woffinden, Bridger etc etc). 3 From Plymouth, 3 From Weymouth and I would imagine 3 from Mildenhall. One of the riders who came third will be the reserve....probably. 16 riders. 20 heats. 2 semi finals. 1 final. Probably.
