I think cerniak deliberately put that down to get a rerun as he was last but the form he is in especially at Lublin he would of passed the gorzow reserves -

2023 GP line up/wildcards
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to eric i's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think it should be top 3 qualify for next year then next 9 go into GP challenge day after last GP round with the 7 qualifiers for challenge, the GP need to be more cut throat, it’s becoming stale with too many riders just outside the title contenders in a comfort zone knowing they will get a wild card -

Tyre Investigation
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to BuxtonTiger's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Speedway has had this problem for a few years now even with mitas and before that Barum, I can remember tyres down to the skin back in the early 2000 with whole knobbles being ripped off after 2 rides, basso’s tyre looked worse cause he carried on riding with a flat tyre,,it doesn’t matter what tyre manufacturer you use, they will all disintegrate when you do burnouts for 60 seconds which is what is happening -

Harris had belt failure, why does he use belts instead of chains, does anyone in the GP use belts ? -

Maybe eurosport could give Greg Blair a go at commentating, he seems very natural doing it on BSN and on the podcasts he does he is very funny and well versed in speedway too , the other commentator on BSN is good too -

You could include riders like Dave Jessup, who was a world beater but was let down by his own tuning in the big occasions, he would of thrived in a GP series, also tommy Knudsen -

The reliance on tuners shouldn't even be a thing in speedway but it’s the riders who drive it that way, Doyle is riding as hard as ever but clearly his bikes are not going forward the way he wants, woffinden is a fantastic tactical aware rider but imo talks it now but doesn't walk it anymore, you never lose talent and he has bags of it but you do lose belief in yourself and I think that’s where he is now ,in the vojens GP he visibly did a first corner where he waited for the other 3 to get their positions and he was last as a result, that’s not the body language of someone who really wants it, not undermining the other 3 but he should of walked his last qualifying race last night but only got 2nd cause of an engine failure, I also don’t understand woffinden and madsen talking who good they are going to be next year, it’s like they don’t care about this years championship, woffinden especially as he might not even qualify but he knows he will get a wild card pick -

Watched last nights meeting, first time I’ve watched speedway from Armadale in over 10 or so years, couldn’t believe how spaced out the riders were for such a small track, might be rose tinted glasses but I never remember the racing being so processional back in the day, Armadale was one of my favourite tracks in the 90s, loved racing there and always thought the racing was close -
Tyre Investigation
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to BuxtonTiger's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Scott nicholls in the star this week saying because of the wheel spin you can’t expect a tyre (any tyre) to do 5 races especially round Peterborough, now where have seen this said before ? But does he go on to talk about a solution to the problem ? -
British speedway is a joke.
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to chrismorton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Firstly the change to engines isn’t going to solve speedway’s problems but they are problems that speedway has and need sorting,2nd the engines the riders use in England are not the same as the engines used in Poland, so to have 2 sets of bikes already happens -
British speedway is a joke.
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to chrismorton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I have had absolute beginners who have never rode a bike buy a cheap bike off me and say things like I need to change the backend to a straight one cause all the top riders use them
