    World Finals On Dvd

It seems to me you know little about anything really. You could always return it if you wish. Ignorance (which you demonstrate plenty of examples just on this thread is no defence in law. 'Sorry ocifer I did not know it was against the law to drink and drive..) I killed him because he stole my property etc. Grow up.

    Just another lamp post.

Suze. I think I have given some prints to you in the past. Did you offer the postage like Lupus did? She has been the only one ever as it happens. Anyway, I am talking about re-selling them and having a business connected to selling them. Not for personal use. So, I think your house is safe. (And your nuts.)

    World Finals On Dvd

Me a misery? I think I gave you one of my prints in the past. I have given so many away I have forgotten who to and why now. I am not going down this road. If the guy has permission to reproduce them fine I do not have a problem with it. If does not I hope the owners of the copyright sue his nuts off. I would if it was it my property and you would pole axe him it seems. If say those videos are owned by the likes of 'Getty Images', he will lose his house. American lawyers, high court (not small claims court) big fees. Look it up moxey. Google it.

Crow bar then eh? Stealing something of yours does not auger well does it? I wonder why? There was me thinking I was just a spoil sport.

    World Finals On Dvd

No, there is not really. Would you like me to call into your house tonight and steal something of yours then Moxey? Personally, I have never said no to anyone asks me if they can use my copyright material. I liked to be asked first though.

Is that not totally illegal and infringing some ones copyright though? Unless you have permission of course.

Which Brit Should Get A Wild Card?

True, but is it not a case of giving youth a chance? The quicker young Tai gets into it, the better the outcome. That is my thinking anyway.

    The Passing Of Eric Williams

They are continuing. As the speedway historian/author : Ross Garrigan has graciously decided to continue with the stories from Eric Williams after his passing. The 23rd collection deals with the 1955 season - including the world final where Eric was very unlucky not to get on the podium that year. I hope Ross does not object to me suggesting this one is a total corker and for me the best yet. Eric giving his thoughts and opinions on a season that included qualifying rounds, events personal recollections - using a Eric French engine for the final and trying to stop Briggo from getting on the podium at Wembley in 1955. Waterman, Crutcher, Craven, Fundin, Briggs, Moore etc This is speedway history written at its finest. The Eric Williams 23rd Collection. By: Ross Garrigan.

    Ole Olsen Youtube Clip

Totally agree. It is galling when all speedway’s ill’s are seemingly being blamed on a very talented speedway rider with a wonderful style, and who was very unlucky to have not been a four times world champion and who publicly recognises this country as the making of him. His Job with the FIM; no doubt he does the best as he sees it but he makes mistakes - as we all do. It has also been stated on here that his position with the FIM does not have the autonomy that some might think either.

    Top Riders In The 1960's

Just for you we will ignore the world championship that Bjorn Knutson won at Wembley in 1965.

    Classic Speedway Mag. Autumn Issue

Also, there is an article on Bobby Andrews. In that article there is a photo of Wimbledon from 1964 which includes a rider called Keith Whipp. Its so far back in my memory I am struggling really to some extent but I am sure (maybe due to my tie up with Ken Brett and to follow that on a bit) I can vaguely recall traveling around the tracks with that young man for a short while. Raleigh and Poole (the only time I was at Poole) come to mind, though I am sure he rode for Poole but not certain by any means. Any info on him anyone?

    Future of the GP's...?

According to the History on the world Speedway finals by Maurice Jones. Peter Craven was seeded direct to Wembley as the reining champion in 1956. As was Barry Briggs in ‘58 & ‘59 and Ronnie Moore in 1960. Hope that helps.

    Jim Kempster's Velocette Ktd

I know I am correct. You think I do not know when any one talks crap? I had a KTT in in 1965, and the other all the crap you spout is why you have been slung out of the Speedway history forum.... Wee in the wind and play with the steam, as your not prepared to play by any rules... Must be megalomania then.
  15. Jim Blanchard

    Jim Kempster's Velocette Ktd

Why did you not put that in the original post? Because you would not know the difference between a KTT, KTD or KSS if it fell on your head. I have reported you for making posts just to include links to another forum to this forums adminsistrator, inspite of having them in your signature. I am not the first to notice it either. What is your problem? Megalomania or pure aggrandisement?

    Jim Kempster's Velocette Ktd

But then maybe not. I get this impression of a dog having a wee at every lampost that it sniffs out. Can a mod put a stop to it please? Phil never liked posts that contained links to other forums, especially when the link is often in the signatures.. Which is cleary not sufficient for speedyguy. Not a post contributing to the thread is it really..? The Poster needs that explaining. AGAIN. AGAIN, AGAIN....

    World Champions That Never Were

Has to be Tom Farndon for me. Agree with you Snyps about the 'one off' was hardly that with all the rounds etc spot on mate. A lot of posters think that it was only about one night. Have not worked it out in details, but I am sure Ove Fundin finished on the podium for 10 consecutive years so his five championships under a GP system would have been many more than that, and not one sponsor either.

Ross, It is indeed a great tribute from Reg. I thought it was very moving. Here is the link: http://www.defunctspeedway.co.uk/Eric%20Williams.htm

    High Beech 2009

The problem is Norman these people are all talk and no substance. In any case, why does these events always seem to happen in the south when everyone knows that the first speedway event took place at Droylesdon near Manchester… Is it not about time someone organised an event in the North for keen followers of Vintage Speedway and traders alike? Someone like John Skinner, I‘m sure he could do it. Plenty of Northern riders and keen fans. Must be a goer.

    Speedway History Authors & Photographers

In the case of the Wright Wood & Alf Weedon Collections (and quite a few others) they have both been sold to John Somerville who now own the copyright for all their work now, so does the 70 years after the death of the photographer rule still apply then? Your ‘orphan’ clause though I also I have my doubts about that to be honest. I was advised that the emphasis had changed in recent years in that the photographer or any intellectual property rights holder does not have to prove copyright in the form of a name or address, logo etc on the back of a photograph or anywhere visible, rather the user of it of that material, has to be satisfied that they are able to use it. I have an on going problem with things like Ebay where my images (both art & photographic) are being used without my permission on items such as: Fridge magnets, Tee Shirts, Coffee mugs, Wall clocks, Cross stitch patterns and even by a member on here on who re-scanned them for sale. I do not even do that myself with them. I have put a lot of time and effort to create or generate these images for another to make some pin money by right clicking and making money from them from his back bedroom without even asking. I give enough away for good causes and anyone that asks for permission I usually agree. I only give one warning for those that don't. Would they like me to break into their house and steal their property? Just because its on the internet does not mean its free to use.

Well, seeing that no one (as yet) has blamed the (well what can we blame in lieu) track or Ole Olsen yet- lets blame the riders for not trying hard enough to make a race of it for us. Life is hard being a speedway fan for christs sake. What has the world come to? Who can we blame?

    Ole Olsen Track Prep

No, sorry spook. Don't patronise me please. I have the right to disagree with anyone irrespective of my age as much as anyone. I have my own opinions and you have yours. In fact, I have not disagreed with you on this issue: I came forward with information for you, so I am hardly a troll. If I disagree with you though, I will say so. Its a public forum. If you wish to put me down in some way because of my age, and the fact I do not agree with you that makes me a troll, so be it. Your obviously are not comfortable with anyone disagreeing with you, are you? If I was 60 or 16? I'll not contact you or reply any further in this thread. But I will reserve the right to respond to any post you make that I do not agree with.

    Ole Olsen Track Prep

Sorry spook, I was not aware there is a question of any ageism to say what one thinks about another’s post, or it was contravening the rules in any way, to have an opinion at any age. (By the way: Just for your information. The rules are attack the post and not the poster. Don't seem to get much right at all really, do you?)

    Ole Olsen Track Prep

Sorry, I don't know the answer. Why not ask IMG themselves? You want me to Google their address for you as well? (PS. Just a tip though - don't sign your letter 'spook'. Get my drift. )

    Ole Olsen Track Prep

I'll post this again: Ole Olsen is employed by the FIM. Look up their web site. Click on the subsection for 'Track Racing'. He is listed as 'Speedway Grand Prix Race Director'. There is a full postal address for him. As its obviously, important and matters to those who would like to contact him, here is the link. http://www.fim-live.com/en/fim/fim-organis...n/track-racing/
