Vissing would have been a more understandable shout.
Shanes and morris not beating heeps in 14 the killer there
Match report on Birmingham site states Howarth refused heat 15 due to track conditions due to the rain getting heavier

James Pearson is still only 16years old.
He needs as many rides as he can get.
I have criticised LR may times in the past about some of his decisions, but i am with him on this one giving JP his 4 races.
If the match was in danger of a home defeat it would have been different.

& very welcome news
MEANWHILE, the Birmingham Consortium have listened to the views of the supporters over the re-admission arrangements following the abandoned meeting against Berwick, caused by Josh Auty’s unfortunate accident and the lack of NHS ambulance to take him to the hospital.
Having already dug deep to fund an extra ambulance and paramedic for all other home meetings this season to ensure the same situation does not arise again, they have also been considering the supporters and what they can do for them.
Whilst it is not appropriate to deviate from the official re-admission policy agreed between all clubs and the BSPL, they have decided to offer a free programme to supporters who come along with their Berwick re-admission ticket.
While they appreciate that not everyone always buys a programme, they hope that the supporters will see it as a gesture of goodwill from the Directors who place maximum importance on the interests of both riders and fans.- 1

Track looked very good , not over watered & no dust on a very sunny day.
As for young James he looked very good off course the test comes when he is racing 3 other riders & if he can get out of the gate.
I was quite impressed .

Its the same old story with a new statement on the official site posted today.
Some quotes
BIRMINGHAM boss Laurence Rogers remains in talks with ‘several’ riders as he looks to complete his team for the new era of racing at Perry Barr.
Rogers, who says he knows the riders he wants, is refusing to panic as he made contact with more riders over the weekend to open up his options.
He said: “We’re working hard to sort things out, I can understand everyone wanting news but we have to stay patient until it gets done.“It’s frustrating in many ways but I’m hopeful everything will fall into place soon.”

You are not allowed to use guests or r-r for non existent riders
The truth is Rogers is in the poo

Hats off to the new Promoters for putting up the money and also having the sense to say it won't be an annual thing. I love speedway, I've been brought up on it from a nipper but if I won the lottery would I sink money into it? no way, its not even a break even venture let alone profit making.
Unfortunately the best times are behind us, the worlds changed, new fans aren't being attracted as it's not exciting enough and not worth the money. Could anything be done to change that?.....sadly I don't think so any more, it's beyond saving in it's current guise.
Birmingham is a 2 hour round trip for me and I wouldn't dismiss me attending a couple of matches this season, but they will either be because someone of interest is in the meeting that night like BB or Smoli, or because the grim reaper has struck again and there's a threat that it could all disappear.
Up The Brummies, fingers crossed for a full and profitable season in 2022.
This is a strange post from someone who is listed on the official Birmingham site as the club Photographer & may only visit twice this season.
Do you not have that role now Chris ?

So the season virtually finishes by end of July.
No fixtures in August when the school kids always swell the attendance during that month.
Absolute madness !- 1
