but there not good enough for the gp. pepe been there before and was to slow and now he is to old. you dont get quicker with age. i think apart from a dozen or so polish riders the rest are no better than any other country.
You don't get to decide who is in the GPs though, do you? So, to paraphrase you from another thread: who cares what you think? PePe, Walasek and Co will take part, whether you think they're good enough or not. And if they qualify from Vetlanda, they're in the GPs, whether you like it or not.
The problem is it's a fifteen rider series, but the sport only really has 10-12 riders genuinely worthy of being in it.

The Usa u21 team travelled from LAX to Ukraine ... once in the uK they then endured a 80hr roundtrip by road with the dedicated help of people from the UK and had various challenges leading upto the event and during but they did it and raced/. Credit to the whole team.... so if its important enough he will get there ...,however perhaps the question is why on earth the FIM send youngsters to such far flung places which is cleary unreasonable and very expensive. Equally these young lads probably wont know or have been aware of local information (such as what happens at borders / hiring of vehicles etc ) in order to enter the country.. sadly the boys are left to fend for themsleves unless they have a team that are willing to do the work for them. Hopefully they will have what they need and will have some success on the day. Good Luck to them
The UK hasn't even entered a team for the Under-21 SWC. so the Americans did better than the Brits at that.
As I mentioned in a previous post, there'll be no New Zealander in Chervonograd. The place initially allocated to New Zealand has been passed to Poland and Piotr Pawlicki.

The on-going situation with the new stand in Zielona Gora continues, with Falubaz president suggesting a change of hosts for the next round of Ekstraliga meetings, so that Falubaz would visit Leszno rather than the other way round. However, Leszno appear to have rebuffed this suggestion, so Falubaz have petitioned the Ekstraliga authorities for a postponement of the fixture until some time in June. A decision is expected either later today or tomorrow:
I guess if the authorities turn down the request, the fixture will be staged without spectators in the new stand. I can't see Falubaz stomaching a walkover, which would be the likely alternative.
Meanwhile, the eagle-eyed among you will have noticed a delay in the running of Ht 15 during the big derby meeting between Gorzow and Falubaz at the weekend. This was caused by the flares lit among the visiting supporters. Plod is now after the culprits, while the Ekstraliga authorities are also involved and punishments could be handed down to both clubs:
Closing the Falubaz stadium for one meeting would appear to be a solution to the first point raised in this thread.
By the way, everyone invited to attend an experiment in Zielona Gora this Saturday:

not much point in most of these turning up as there to old or to slow
Miedzinski won the Krsko round with Protasiewicz fourth. No other nation can nominate such a strong cadre.

any other ideas about New Zealand rider?
Piotr Pawlicki, apparently:

I don't think it's been announced yet. I'd just e-mail Tarnow direct and ask politely:
redakcja@unia.tarnow.pl
Graham Drury might be able to give you a direct contact.

the irish chappy much better today also, quite a quick learner he seems! well done to him.
Impressed with his Miedzinski and Mroczka, although I think the strong Irish accent might be helping him with those two.

If i remember rightly, didn't they start the war by throwing some guys out of a window in Prague?Did see a programme on Wallenstein a while back.Got a bit too big for his boots in the end.Nice little background history there.
Yes, the Thirty Years' War was started by the protestant Czechs throwing a couple of catholics out of one of Prague Castle's windows in the so-called "Second Defenestration of Prague". The Czech's elected their "winter king" but were defeated at the Battle of the White Mountain. Wallenstein was born protestant, but changed to catholic in order to marry a wealthy widow. Like you said, he grew too big for his boots and was murdered on the orders of the Habsburg emperor whom he nominally served. The British embassy in Prague was, apparently, part of the booty paid to one of his assassins.
Edit:
By the way, in case anyone is wondering, the victims of the defenestraion survived. It was put down to devine intervention. God had placed the dung heap they landed in there.

Still Gdansk versus Poznan rumbles on, with still more footage emerging. This time it is showing some of the alleged "protests" of the Poznan team, including tape breaking and Norbert Kosciuch's mysterious "retirement":
-
Also Valsarna just took a great scalp by beeting Elit Vetlanda with 46-43,
Grigory Laguta the star, again. What an outstanding start to the season the Snr has enjoyed.
-
Now Piraterna are collapsing at home to Lejonen. Is it the absence of Rafal Dobrucki and Przemyslaw Pawlicki, or is St Gregory the Grin just taking it easy before the Gothenburg GP?
-
I have Eastenders on pause to ask that very question!
Looks like he wasn't able to take part in the re-run, according to sportowefakty.pl. Maybe didn't have time to get ready, or was feeling a bit rough after the crash that resulted in Kolodziej's exclusion. But that's only speculation on my part.
-
Hampel dreadful tonight, so far.
-
How come you are watching it now then LL?
I'm not. I'm just keeping an eye on the sportowefakty.pl updates and wondering how the Irish fellow will mangle Mroczka.
-
Need a stream for this meeting?
There's one at ten, apparently. The streamer must be taking it from the UK coverage, which means your Irish friend.
-
Richardson in fairly dreadful form just about everywhere at the minute.
Any idea why Nicholls missed his first ride? June01 will want to know later on, I'm sure.
-
Grigory Laguta shows the Crumpmeister the way home again. All the scores very close in Sweden tonight, except in Malilla. And that was close the last time I looked, but isn't so close anymore.
-
Poor starts to their respective meetings for Janusz Kolodziej and Darcy Ward. And Hampel.
-
This site says it will carry the meeting at 10pm UK time. A very good stream,. I watched the Bees get stuffed by the Pirates-well done Poole, last night. So here's hoping. Alan
Must be lifting it from Premium TV. That's when they are showing it.

How old is Jade Mudgway at Berwick?
Edit:
Okay, I checked, he's twenty-one in June and not only in Berwick, but everywhere. Does that meet the criteria? I'm not entirely sure of the exact age requirements.

And, sure enough, we hadn't heard the last of the debacle in Gdansk, as the visitors Poznan have petitioned the GKSZ for the result to be amended to a walkover in their favour. If they get no joy from the GKSZ, then they'll take their case to the PZM:
-
With Rafal Dobrucki's season - and possibly his career - being over and Grzegorz Zengota still being some way off full fitness, Falubaz are looking at the options for bringing in a rider on loan. The names thought to be in the frame include Adam Skornicki (Leszno) and Tai Woffinden (Czestochowa):
-
Peterborough's Krzysztof Buczkowski has been nominated by the PZM as replacement for the unfortunate Rafal Dobrucki at Esbjerg:

The city authorities in Torun are looking for a title sponsor of the new, much-admired, stadium:
Currently, the stadium, like Unibax Torun's previous home, is named for Marion Rose. Rose is one of the great figures in Polish speedway and arguably the finest rider to come from Torun. He died tragically following an on-track crash during a meeting in Rzeszow in 1970. Around 60,000 people lined the streets of Torun for his funeral. Knowing how sentimental the Poles can be, I imagine any move to change the name will not be popular.
In other Torun news, it seems the PC brigade are after the club for discrimination:

Yet Walasek finished ahead of Chris Harris in 2009. That's the Chris Harris you are sponsoring in 2011. I have as much chance of winning it as Chris Harris. I would also point out that Walasek was there on merit in 2009 and not becaause your mates at BSI needed a couple of token Brits.
