Well after so looking forward to tonight was totally underwhelmed, embarrassed by Berwick tonight no excuses were second best all night, only two heat advantages and one was against one rider, Glasgow well deserved winners good luck in the next round. On another note a lot of old faces nowhere to be seen, where we stand a least 4 people not there, and 1 OAP came over and said he knew of at least 16 not there, they are infuriated by the £7 increase for them, will be found out after the Edinburgh match, would say there were just as many Glasgow supporters as Berwick. So the next streamed meeting will sit in the house and save myself over £60,rant over.

Yeah agree with that the rise in price for pensioners consessions  made my decision not to buy a season ticket very easy plus the cost increased of traveling with fuel etc and even more so after watching last nights total and complete borefest on BSN...

  2. Yeah I notice the club I have supported for more years than I care to remember have done away with the  reduced season and on the day tickets for pensioners etc had a season ticket for years but only managed 3 meetings last season due to health issues so lost out big style.. Wont be bothering this season it just seems a very strange decision to me a fair amount of pensioners usually go but think that might change..

  3. I first emailed them about it a week ago and I get what you say about them being good people and probably very busy but I wouldve expected some sort of contact after a week and yes I know card payments can be recurring but I cancelled my subscription on the 9th of September but then agreed to keep it for another month at a reduced price not another month at a reduced price followed by yet another month at full price.. I only wish them luck with their venture and hope it works out but I am a bit peeved about this..

  6. Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with BSN I cancelled my account back in September but renewed it for 1 more month after being offerd it at the reduced rate of £17.59.. However they obviously decided I would like it for another Month and have taken £21.99 off my card without my permission they knew I took it for 1 more month at reduced rate but having emailed them 3 times I have had no response and was wondering if anyone else had another way of contacting them because email obviously no good.. Failing that I will have to hand it over to my card company to sort..

Different team this week. Greg Blair definitely worth watching.

Will be interesting to see the crowd on Saturday, with this being the first stand alone National League meeting.

I think it will be very interesting considering the utter dross that was served up in the last home meeting not been much to get excited about in the other meetings either.. Lots of hard work put in by the promotion widening the track etc but in my eyes not paying off which is unfortuneate for them..

Posted by Leon Flint on his Facebook page, sadly we cant have seven Leon Flints. Other riders are yet to comment.

Literally couldn’t sleep last night after what happened yesterday. It simply just isn’t good enough and all I can do is apologies. Few weeks now to go back to the basics and sort it out and think what we need to do to come back stronger.

Leon Flint has absolutely nothing to apologise for that young man has been one of the very few bright spots in this otherwise shambolic season loving watching him develop  and some of the others could take a leaf out of his book..

So what was the problem last night I think we all know the team are way below what they should be in spite of what Barrie said about the Monarchs beating a good Bandits team bollicks they did, Bandits are very poor and the racing is practically none exsistant .. But I wont take anything away from Edinburgh they were good but like others have said they were made to look brilliant by a very poor Berwick..

Despite Shielfield Park being in the fortunate position of being able to accommodate larger attendances than many speedway venues during the current Covid19 restrictions, the club has warned that a sell-out attendance must be expected for the visit of title favourites Glasgow next week.

Tickets are now on sale at the usual site:   https://www.berwickspeedway.com/tickets/

The Bandits' promotion strongly recommend early booking (especially if a seat in the main stand is the aim) to avoid disappointment, highlighting that Bandits/Tigers matches are traditionally very well attended and with the regulations still requiring e-ticketing,  they do anticipate selling out.

There are no plans at the moment for any streaming of this meeting -- if you don't get a ticket, you don't get to see it!

I am hearing rumours that Leon Flint will not be available for this meeting can you confirm if this is correct or not please? Because even with Leon I think Glasgow will cut the Bandits a new ar**hole but it will be even worse without Leon. I dont mind getting beaten at home but not if it is the expected rout..

  14. In all honesty I really do not know what to make of this Team like most I am a bit underwhelmed by it.. But on the other hand we have Etheridge, Jackobsen , Flint , Bickley , all young and hungry to do well so hopefully it might not be as bad as People think . I would rather watch the young lads having a go than a journey man going through the motions...

Careful, you're not supposed to say things like that on here, you'll be labelled a sympathiser. If you want to fit in with the locals, stick to phrases like "lack of entertainment", "no value for money" or "rider X must go".

At the risk of sounding like Basil Fawlty "don't mention you had a good night, I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it"

To be honest I always tell it how I see it and I have said on more than one occasion that it was boring. But Saturday was an entertaining Meeting and the two lads I stand with thought the same. Like I say hopefully more of the same this Week.
