Summers wipes both bears and Greaves excluded , how many Berwick hillbillys got into the refs box to get that decision , the berwick area is like a scene from Wrong turn full of inbreeds

Dear oh dear I think you need some Medication for your bad loser syndrome , I will tell the staff at the Speedway to keep an Eye open for the Dummy you lost last night while they tidy up ..

Fair enough, as a contest it was well over at the interval at 20-40.  Although Berwick did 'win' the last five heats 21-9!

But define  'entertainment'.  Do you mean the team losing, or more than that?

The Team losing matters not one jot to me by entertainment I want to see passing not follow the leader I and lots of other people came away feeling it was time and money wasted..

you should have been at sunny last night if it was entertainment you wanted.just go on speedway forum, scunny v sheff, select last page, scroll down and take a look at ht 13.in fact just about all of the heats were as exciting.

Entertainment is all I want the result is secondary , yes a win is a bonus but was totally bored out my mind last night, I like the Lads who are promoting at Berwick and hope they get things sorted Scot puts in a lot of work so deserves it ..                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Ah yes Scunny have been to a few meetings there and never been dissapointed  with the Raceing if only Scunny were that bit closer..

  4. Looks like Bridger as got ride of team revolution, It's gone from his bio on twitter.

With his own bikes and GM engines you will have a proper no1 now. I've always liked bridger. All he had to do is get rid of that useless team revolution.

Lewis Bridger in his last 2 rides at Berwick on Liam Carrs bike was Speedway straight out the top drawer, Absolutely fantastic to watch really looking forward to Saturday night already..

  5. Quite a night last night as Glasgow handed out a right royal roasting to Berwick, in fact its hard to think of a more comprehensive and total performance from a team at Shielfield. Only down side for the Tigers was the loss of Danny Ayres after an awful looking Ht8 crash, seems he will miss a couple of meeting with concussion which is bad enough but things could've been a whole lot worse. No point picking out an outstanding rider for Glasgow as they all were and if this is the level they are going to ride at it will take some team to stop them.

Night to forget I am afraid for Berwick and this defeat just about ends their play off hopes, as IMO to make the play offs now they will need to 4pt away wins at probably two of our remaining away trips. It must be hoped that our new rider was suffering from first night nerves as his performance was less than what is required to say the least, tailed off, gave up after three laps in his first ride, and the only rider he beat was the equally poor Gappmaier. A much better performance at Somerset, from Stachyra and the rest of the team please.

One positive thing was there looked to be a decent Wednesday night crowd there.

Like you say Screm a very decent crowd but how many will actually come back and risk their money to watch garbage like we witnessed last night ? I even managed to coax the missus back last night but never again were her words, personally I was ready to leave about heat 6 but I had other people in my car so put up with it only to find on the way home they were ready to come away at same time but kept quiet about it. it really was absolute guff with an entertainment value of nil, complete waste of 30 quid getting us both in..

  6. Great performance super guest in dimitre berge.Good to see TJ back on form all the team chipped in with points with romamo a bit unfortunate to be excluded after another refereeing masterclass by Margaret Vardy.Off to Rye House today a more difficult fixture but win, lose or draw I'm sure we will enjoy the meeting.

Margaret Vardy was an utter disgrace surely it is time Refs like her were sacked she has not a clue, but still enjoyed a very entertaining meeting and what a great sporting bunch those Scunny supporters always seem to be, I personally hope they can sort out their troubles because the size of the crowd was very concerning, Speedway can ill afford to lose a venue such as Scunthorpe or their great bunch of supporters.

  7. Might the last many posts not get more interest on a Comics' thread?

Meanwhile, back on the right-hand coast there's an e-Newsletter out, with details of a revised Bandits' line-up and of progress at Duns.

Just read the News letter WOW Bager at reserve , can see Berwick becoming the whipping Boys of the league..

  8. why go after an under performing rider ?

Obviously you think Bager is better then I think MPT would be a cracking signing.

I believe he is living somewhere in Yorkshire these days, although I would imagine it will be between Berwick Rye House ,and Scunthorpe who sign him and as Scunthorpe own his contract and are about to make changes I would make them favourites. I also know he has been in touch with a club wishing to sign him but will say no more until it has been rubber stamped.

Well hopefully that club is Berwick.

  9. I think pushing a meeting through quicker, when possible, keeps the interest and attention, obviously that`s down to the on night referee but there`s to many times we are sat on a Saturday night with an empty track for no apparent reason. Also it would give the club to have a proper second half for younger riders.

Got to admit you are spot on there that is the main reason my Wife stopped going getting bored between Races and Dick Barrie prattling on before the meeting when it is supposed to be tapes up at 7 pm.
