Hopefully Richard Lawson will get his gating gloves out of his Poole kit bag,and lewi kerr will remember to bring his home from Redcar!

Waste of time asking, I asked Nathan Hollands several times and he said if it went any louder, some people complain its too loud. Its rubbish
-
Kai huckenbeck is having a decent season.maybe not a no1 but would be stronger than R/R.
-
Its a shame Sheffield aren't giving Tobias Museilak a run out , him and Picko and Bomber are worth the admission on their own, chuck in doyley as well...

I found that really annoying too.we ended up leaving before picko spoke, simply because we couldn't hear. One other little thing as well, I do wish the riders would ignore their phones for just a few minutes whilst in the after meeting meeting, I'm sure its not intended to be rude, it just feels like it .

Stars v Panthers Thurs 21/04/2022
castrolargh replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just got home from the meeting and a great result for the stars, but... the first 10 heats were dire gate and go affairs, but the meeting really came alive at the end with some great racing. Why oh why can't the track be prepared for the start of the meeting like it was at the end tonight. Picko was brilliant and Puk made a couple of great moves too -
Ipswich Vs Kings Lynn Thurs March 31st LC
castrolargh replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Batchelor always seems to go better with a strong no1 in the team, and historically has done very well with doyley. -
PuK has already said he cant race over here once his teams on the continent get going due to the polish rules, otherwise I would assume lynn would have kept hold of him( gutted they cant )

Nightmare signings

Ryan Fisher, Troy Bachelor, Chris Holder, -
Personally I would love to see Puk back if he is fit, he would score well in this league, and josh Pickering swapped for Erik Riss who has been massively disappointing this year, if that would fit, with Connor mountain as one of the rising stars

Kings Lynn Stars v Sheffield Tigers 19/08/21
castrolargh replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The track looked rubbish from outside when the grader came out. This time, for the first time ,I saved my money and went home .seen it too many times before, buster scrapes the slop off then gets in a mood when riders done fancy it. Cant blame them, and for once I agree with troy batchelors usual take on things, if the track is crap, the entertainment is crap, so what would have been a late night watching a rubbish meeting became an early night. Apart from the poor so and so's who were inside the stadium waiting. -

Robert Lambert,Erik Riss and MPT replaced by Ryan Kinsley,Bridger and possibly Lawson. Makes you realise how much the league has had to be watered down.I still think that if such a watering down of the league was necessary, it should have been 1 league and 6 man teams to at least try to maintain interest/ sell the concept of a new start . -

You wont get a much bigger announcement than that.If true, its a fantastic coup for Plymouth and for the championship -

I think we are going to be relying on " strength in depth" rather than two big hitters. All relatively speaking of course,as there are very few genuine big hitters in the league this year compared to previously, but in a very weak league ,who knows who will step up.Tj at home possibly.,Tofty if he returns can be a match winner home,or away -

Somewhere about an MPT amount! -
6 teams is no league. Missed opportunity to completely start afresh from the bottom up
-
I would disagree with that.Batchelor is always at his best behind a strong No1 and when hes not sulking. If you want a star attraction to put bums on seats, love or loath him you would be hard pushed to top Nicki P. Still riding in Polish Elitserien whereas batch is in div1 and will never be the same class .(in my opinion)

King's Lynn Stars 2020
castrolargh replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's very quiet on here regarding anyone's thoughts on a team .losing Robert was a massive blow, but not really unexpected, then losing Eric with the structure as it is this year is massive. I assume Cookie is pencilled in at No1 but what about the engine room and the rising star? Proctor ,Tj and Lewi @ 2,4 and 6 or 2,3 and 6 but where is out 2nd heat leader and 2nd string coming from? Richie Worrall as a 2nd string?, could MPT be coming back?(wishful thinking ) Any thoughts? -

Lewis Bridger only averaged 6.59 from 11 meetings at berwick in 2017 which converted would put him at 4.19 in the prem( assuming 1.6 conversion rate)that would put us way under the limit -

I would like to place on record my thanks to Ian Corcoran for sending me a copy of " fron 2 wheels to 4", the proceeds of which will go wilkies widow, Jean .I recieved the book on friday, and have just finished it.A fascinating, humbling read about two people with immense character and strength. I was just a boy when Wilkie had his accident and only had vague memories of seeing him ride, ironically at Swindon , but am a lifelong speedway supporter. RiP Wilkie , my respect to you Sir, a very brave man

Premiership Junior League
castrolargh replied to BuxtonTiger's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
With only 3 stand alone clubs left in the NDL now, and with Plymouth actually wanting to move up surely now is the time to help these 3 clubs to step up.Restructure both top leagues, 1home 1 away league plus knock out cup and early season trophy with both premiership and championship clubs running junior leagues after meetings. That way fans of all clubs can see local riders develop as seasons progress
