There's definately no published Qualification for this meeting, sounds like it was roughly made up. The SCB rulebook convienently says Qualifying criteria 'To be confirmed' with no update. If it were done on 1st August Greensheet PL averages, Craig Cook wasn't anywhere to be seen in that list, Ben Barker doesn't have a club and Simon Lambert (3.66) is lower than Danyon Hume (3.74) Zero transparency within British Speedway, and run by Chocolate fireguards. Answers on a postcard please...

I saw that too but It’s changed now, looks fairly clear on the Met office radar. Probably worth risking travelling down for it now

Speedway GP from Latvia is also starting at 3pm UK time on Saturday, another unfortunate clash.

It would be very likely only be around 5% (40-50) people who would go to both to be honest, Reds may well get 1000 with it being the first game back in a higher league. But take away the Macclesfield and 2 Play Off attendances and the average gate would be around 600 people. I wouldn't say they'll be much impact at all, with Kent not being the most attractive oppostion and likely no away fans, it would never be the largest gate of the season anyways. A decent crowd against BV Colts on bank holiday weekend and a bumper gate for the NL riders championship will see off a very sucessful comeback season off the track.

Around most tracks no, but when riders have to shut off so much it does not make it exciting, just my opinion of course, and they’ll be plenty that disagree. The throttle jockeys vs technical tracks debate will always go on, and many have their favourite type. Modern machinery hasn’t helped tracks like Edinburgh, and I feel it’s very hard to sell slow racing to a non fan / newcomer to the sport.

Might be a long gap to the next home meeting on the 12th August now, however it was mentioned that they are trying to arrange a meeting on 29th July, wonder what that could be..

Changes are pretty impossible at this stage because the team total comes to 45.91 and with 2 changes it would have to fit back under the 42 limit. I.E dropping the McGurk’s (7.83 + 3.00) would only leave 6.92 for two riders! For context, it’s impossible to fit Bickley in with any combination other than Bailey plus Elliot Kelly or higher

R/R will produce the same points, if not more, sorry but don’t rate him at all. Not a great signing on a 7 point plus average, in a stronger league but obviously wasn’t first choice as the in the experienced rider role. In the 6+3 he scored, he only beat 1 opposition rider Kai Ward, who scored 1 point off 6 rides, and 2 of the races he scored points in had 3 riders finish! Also has 1 win in 19 rides this season.

Yeah, it was mentioned at the meet the riders event that 2 burger vans and a marquee serving drink I believe, I was told a band will be on live in the marquee after the meeting, but haven’t seen anything confirmed on that!

Online tickets are being looked into, but not ready for this weeks meeting. I believe there are issues around booking fees
