  1. Really enjoyed the second meeting after the shambles from Rybnik. Good first effort from Gorzow without NKI against easily the strongest side again. When Zmarzlik gets going I think Gorzow will have a decent season. I thought Thomsen acquitted himself well and Wozniak as ever is a strong road block if he can gate. KK just same old frustrating KK. Leszno again going to be tough to beat. Emil and Piotr so strong with great backup (generally) from Kolodziej and then the bundles of improvement still to come from Kubera, Kurtz and Smektala. Personally don't mind there being no crowd as I'm only really interested in the quality of racing. Anyone saying this is on a similar level to Britain needs to give their head a considerable shake.

Well of course not .. but he was  quite clearly desperate .. that's does  not  mean you should rob people or that Garrity is not the scum of the earth  but on a General point speedway riders must be  finding it  really hard

There are thousands of people up and down the country that are finding it ‘really hard’. However, at no point does that make it acceptable to go out and rob a vulnerable adult at knifepoint. The very fact you’ve even tried to defend or even understand his actions is very worrying. He deserves every bit of punishment that comes his way the absolute lowlife scum.

well not long to go and see all the fans and the new track mmmmmmm

Surely with the stuff robin puts you upto saying on here it could actually be varied and actually interesting as opposed to the same regurgitated garbage you post day after day after day.

    BREAKING NEWS

We can confirm that the Shielfield Park circuit will be adapted before the tapes go up in 2020!

Co-owner Jamie Courtney has announced at tonight’s Christmas party that work will begin to widen the entrances & exits to the corners and widen the straights in the new year!

We will bring you the full story over the weekend but this is a huge step forward for the club as we look forward to enjoying the fastest Speedway in the country with lots more possibilities for great racing.

Excellent news. Well done to all involved in taking that step.

Something’s not right at Somerset, Harris, Morris and Covatti all jumping ship, Bates and Barker strike me as desperation signings, and BWD as No 1 :o

Them 3 still a mile better than the dross Berwick are serving up! Replacing Doolan with Bickley :o.

Who cares I will be taking my son , who’s loves his speedway , each Saturday night , regardless of what , blow job, hockentwat and emiiali or whatever it calls itself , not speedway folk and never attend ,

Numpties like you are exactly the reason promotions up and down the land will continue to take the micky out of those stupid enough to pay the extortionate prices they charge for the garbage they serve up.

Economic reality. The club could go out and put together an expensive team, but then be out of business within a couple of months. I would love nothing more than the club to be in a position where they could attract "big name" riders, but that simply isn't the case. Look no further than Berwick Rangers if you want an example of how sporting clubs in the town are struggling to find investment and sponsorship. Lets see what the season brings before we judge them.

To be fair I’m not unrealistic enough to expect them to be going out and signing riders like what Glasgow do. However, how can that 1-7 be justified. How can Bickley (3pt reserve) replace Doolan ? The team isnt even built upto the points limit. I am aware they operate on a budget but if thats the case why not just go into the NL and be 1 of the better clubs.

Been hard not to vent my frustrations these past few days about this line up but now that it’s out... w t f are they thinking about???? Garcia and Gappmaier in the main body away from home? Seriously? If we get an away point this season I’ll eat my 2018 season ticket

Obviously Shorty and Tommy will be over the moon with the 1-7 but realistically whats even the point in entering a team if you are going to put a team like that out. Why not just go into the National league?

  9. Only Berwick would sign Bickley who openly admitted in an interview before a meeting at Berwick last year that he didnt like the track as it was impossible to pass on. If he was really any good Glasgow would have chucked money at him again, impressive work. I’m sure everyone will be in a frantic rush to get their season tickets purchased to watch that 7 every week.

different opinion I can put up with ... different planet, different language is a different story altogether.

To be fair what Colin posts is no worse than the utter drivel you write on that dirt extra page. If you could get any further up the clubs rear you’d come out their bellybutton.

The make up of the team is more to do with funds (or lack of), rather than any lack of ambition. If you don't have the money, you can't spend it. Plus this was basically the same team which missed out on the playoffs by a point last year. As for the league table, let's wait until we've ridden the same number of home meetings as other clubs.

To be honest I don't disagree with you that it is largely centred around a lack of funds which is fine. My issue is why are the fans then called out and blamed for not attending? I could understand if the racing was like what Bell Vue get every week so you were entertained no matter what. If that was the case I don't think alot of people would be bothered that they are bottom but surely people cant be blamed for not wanting to watch a poor product as well as a poor team?

I would suggest the shoe is on the other foot

Aye but you still live in the dark ages where you believe ‘if you don't like it don't go’. News flash for you, people have stopped going. Money is hard earned for people and they aren't willing to just pay to watch garbage and a team with no interest in winning. Enjoy your evening, we all know nowt beats live racing at Shielfield for you ;)
