Cheers! I don't like the situation we are in but it is my club. Unfortunately I might not make it next week I'm on a nightshift and at Wembley Monday. It all costs! I will try though!

Though It was going to be slightly closer but Bees were just too good for IOW. Morley was excellent however. First 4 heats took an hour but fair play the following 11 heats were done by just after 5. Crowd was bigger than last week which is a bonus, i expect a few more when Birmingham visit next week.

The GP qualifying is tough this year isn't it? Lambert and Bomber unlucky not to qualify although I think Lambert will get a wildcard.

Perfect weather for today's meeting, a nice 21°c. Hopefully a better crowd than last week!

They should've stuck with the original plan of Monday's and Thursdays then what you seen yesterday wouldn't have happened. Britain has priority on Thursdays, use it.

Erm Mick Horton maybe? Only the Eastbourne meeting(s) were below the break even figure. The big question is what type of crowd come along for Cradley, Brum and BV fixtures, these might be the ones that keep it going. Also a bit more promotion to come hopefully.

Added cost of floodlights probably means that's a no go.

I know people that went to Buxton and the island that haven't been to a 'home' meeting yet as they won't give Horton a penny.. I suspect a fair few will attend Monmore next Monday as well.
There was a few who said they wouldnt go Leicester but actually went Sunday. Also I get that fans are reluctant to go to Leicester but there won't be any away meetings if the 'home' ones are not supported.

I don't think Eastbourne has ever been an attractive fixture in Bees fans minds. Birmingham, Cradley and Belle Vue will be the fixtures that i think will tempt fans more.

Yep it was poor. Discussions going on about how the club can raise awareness that meetings are happening and how to get people there. Some people have said they didn't know a meeting was on. Some ideas floating around and maybe hear what the promotion will do shortly. Having Eastbourne twice in a row and no meeting in 3 weeks didn't help, the Cradley meeting wouldve helped hugely I think but was postponed. Regular 'home' meetings now for the next 9 weeks, see if that will help and fans getting into the habit.

It seems a few are going to attend their first Bees meeting of the season today, my dad included. Weather forecast looks excellent so hopefully a few more fans there today than in previous meetings.

Bees manager Martyn MacDonald wants more than 10. Mountain and Armstrong to have a similar performance and hopefully Danny Phillips can get some form, he needs some race wins.

Hoping Bees run continues so I'll go for 40-50.

Poor. If I remember correctly the one in 2016 at Brandon was 3,000 plus. That was towards the end of the season, on a Saturday and in a central location.

When was the date for this meeting announced? Perhaps Danish League had their fixtures in before this was announced?

Very comfortable for the Bees! The team has performed well so far.

Nielsen is British let's stop that nonsense. Also Nielsen is a massive upgrade on Shanes, he a much improved rider. The thing that annoys me is that Nielsen is only 'temporary' while the spin that Shanes could be bought back in at a later date is utter rubbish. Shanes was also doing his job unlike most others in the Poole side.

I do hate this format where someone could go through the card and still lose the final race. Surely it would be much better to add those final points to the ones gained in the heats to recognise the true champion on the night, rather then the one who just wins that solidary final....
Conner coming 2nd illustrates how bizarre it is , He never won a race, yet Bewley won 4 races and was only placed 4th.....
It's pretty much the format used in all major competitions. These riders have to get used to it if they want to get anywhere in the sport. What it does show is how riders handle pressure and these young riders need that experience.

Such a shame. Oh well I'll head to the Ricoh and watch Wasps instead .

I'm expecting a close meeting this afternoon but with Cradley having that bottom end strength I think they will pop us 42-48. Hope I'm wrong!

Kemp not riding for Cradley is a huge boost for the Bees. Bees again change their riding order, I like the way Martyn MacDonald changes the order for each opposition. Hoping Bees push Cradley all the way.
