What you describe is exactly what mine was doing.
I too was watching snooker, in Feb, and I knew who won the frame whilst I was still watching it.
I was watching the Winter Olympics, short track speed skating, again I knew the winner of a race and I was still watching beginning of last lap.
    Very frustrating.
As I said previously, I got one of the latest Roku Streaming Stick+, which the spec reads    4K Ultra HD, HDR, 1080p & 720p streaming upto 60 fps.
I got mine off eBay as a opened box customer return, £32 instead of £55 new.

If you anywhere near Chester I will lend you the stick to try.

Thank you, very kind... but I'm down on the South Coast!

I've raised a question on Discovery Help... I won't hold my breath, but you never know.

Think your idea of a new stick is the way to go.. I'll see what's on offer, thanks again for the advice.

When I first started with Discovery+ in February and using a ROKU box sound and vision were not in sync.  At that time I had ordered a new ROKU box for the lounge tv. When it came I put it onto the bedroom tv, the one with the out of sync, and everything was ok.  So, the new box is permanently in the bedroom and working fine, while the older box is redundant (works ok with other apps on the older ROKU).

So, how old is your ROKU box, it may be that causing out of sync, but I would do a online report to Discovery+ giving all the details, including the ROKU box version (assuming you have kept the box updated).

Thank you, the box is a couple of years old, but the software updated today without problem. All very strange... other apps (MY5, You Tube, Sky news live) on the ROKU are fine, all synchronised. Even other programmes from Discovery plus (Lifestyle, Houses etc) all fine and in sync.  However anything on Discover Sports, live or on catch-up are out of synch... just watched live snooker and you can hear the ball being hit 10 seconds before you see it...madness!

Last nights GP is still out of sync, only option I think is to cancel Discovery sports stream and get Eurosport through Sky?

    Technology eh!

going back to the "time"issue i think it all starts badly with the two teams walking out separately ,certainly a bit boring, unimaginative and time consuming(thought both teams going round on the trailer was ok but of course thats a different story)

Totally agree, slow start, never gets going, no build up!

Sorry am I missing something.... why did we stop the trailer thing?

My point was when the lockdown is lifted sufficiently to allow speedway/greyhounds and similar sports to take place with a 'socially- distanced crowd', so that advertisers, sponsors will get their brand seen by fans attending. Whenever/if ever the lockdown is further eased then its likely that the 2-metre rule will also change. Boris (and some other countries) are already suggesting 1 metre distance might be enough and that would equate to just a couple of arm lengths.

Danny is clearly of the opinion that it can work otherwise he wouldn't have stated it publicly in yesterday's articles.

My point was he could not afford to run speedway meetings behind closed doors with no paying crowds....

If/when the Government decides that it is safe for sports like Speedway to return, with whatever social distancing guidelines are in place at that time, then surely the same will apply to greyhound racing. Stadia UK have said that greyhounds will return to Poole as soon as the public are allowed back in. That means stadium staff being back for at least 3 or 4 days each week, plus an extra day for speedway.

The BSPL have said previously that speedway will not happen behind closed doors as it would not be financially sustainable'

As soon as permission is given ie the lockdown is relaxed sufficiently then every club will look at their potential income streams to see if it will work.  Glasgow have admitted that a great proportion of their revenue comes from fan attendance, however other clubs (possibly including Poole) might  have stronger income streams from other sources eg sponsorship, banner advertising and programme advertising etc as well as revenue from admissions.

A few years ago Matt could well have run behind close doors on sponsorship alone, he's said as much.

However I fear those heady days are well and truly behind us and even if this was to be the case, I'm sure even the most ardent sponsor would fail to see the funny side of all his centre green banners playing to an empty grandstand and his programme advertising still neatly packed in the box straight off the Ferag!

Spot on mike, and that’s why we are where we are!
It’s a pity that promotors don’t go on this web site and listen to there customers!

Think a fair percentage of  promoters do come on the forum and read.... but in their arrogance ... they take nothing away.... after all what do we know!

hope you get your refund sorted

We are still waiting for our £20 x 2 money back from Matt for 2018 season!

Rain off or cancellation, can't rightly remember now, however Matt said on the speaker system....Send your door ticket in and you'll get a refund.... yer right.... think my refund has been used to buy a couple of rolls of paper for the Chateau La Brian....

Think I even put a stamped address envelope in...what a mug I am!!

Awaiting a defensive so called smart reply from Clive......

That's a good question...most of Polish fans thinks so...and would like to crucify him for this. I' wondering, the same way as they think it was as you, whether it was such ofense

According to Sportowe Fakty site he cost Bjerre 4000 Zlotys (approx £840) and he has been reprimanded for it!

Either way it's  poor sportsmanship and shows him as a bad looser, he was beaten fair and square... why be spiteful and cost another rider money...especially a rider like Bjerre who must be one of the sports gentler guys?
