Coventry Bees V Leicester Lions 18/4/14
Dornier replied to Woz01's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Don`t think it will be a walk over for the Bees as some seem to think. The Lions have one or two riders that can come up with match winning performances, am expecting Doyle, Mads, and Hougard to be a serious threat ,all are capable of double figures plus Stead and Ljung as back up and am thinking a hard meeting for the Bees....... -
What is there to test he`s been in hibernation for five months and now he has to do some testing...Bombers never been the same since the NEW silencers came in, there was never a problem before that but for some reason he doesn`t seem to have acclimatised to them...

Chris Bomber Harris Performances
Dornier replied to ghostie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think you`re dead right there. I thought the same don` t think its good for the captain to be talking negatively thats why I suggested Hans would be a better captain. Even in the Bees good times the condition of the track was often brought up especially when they had struggled to win I would suggest that if he has another GP like the last he does just what you say it`ll be better for his health... -
Thats OK we`ll see what happens at the weekend. but am not expecting a great improvement...the track won`t be prepared right or his heads not straight. we`ve heard it all before and its wearing a bit thin now...
-
Ifs that what you expect from him thats fine but I`m expecting more, Its Bombers job to get his average up and beat his counterparts after all he`s a GP rider . I want the team to win and nearly winnings not good enough, to me we`ve lost three meetings that should have been wins......

After the away meeting at Poole I`m even more of the opinion that Bombers going to struggle this season with the new race format . And I think they should have given the captains hat to Hans and I`m now thinking Fisher would probably do a good job as captain. Bombers been a bit lucky so far he`s come up against out of form Bjerres and Holders he won`t stand a chance against the on form opposing heat leaders especially when he gives them a two yard start., His gating at Poole was diabolical. Now onto Garrity I had no idea about Garrity only the hype I heard about him on here I must say I`m a bit disappointed with what I`ve seen so far, am not too impressed with his gating technique he seems to crawl away and then thrust his weight backwards in the hope of getting some rear wheel drive by which time the gaps have closed. I`m very happy with the way the rest of the team are shaping up, Hansen and Howarth both rode with a lot of courage at Poole and Fisher hasn`t put a foot wrong so far he`s an inspiration to the team.....

Yes Mauger was a big wig only one or two had more than one machine at that time....
-
Knew it wouldn`t be long before Holder was back riding in the British League, don`t know how he has the gall the way he slagged off the British Elite League in his tweets . Now all of a sudden alls well to ride over here he probably realises he needs the British League more than the British League needs him..
-
I remember one Thursday tea time Mauger was on his way to Owlerton and in those days he had a trailer with two machines on, and as he took a right hand acute bend his bikes were spilled onto the road don`t remember if the trailer overturned or they just came adrift from the trailer . I didn`t see it personally but a friend who lived on the corner told me about the incident. I think he was an ACE at that time Mauger that is.

Apparently the tracks been very rough so maybe this could be Bombers big night. -

Think Bombers going to struggle this season, think its highly likely he`ll drop from the heat leader position he`s no chance of beating the opposing heat leaders unless he can get out of the gate. Personally think the Bombing days are over, was a bit disgusted when he played the track conditions card and the sooner he realises the Cardiff days have gone the better. Otherwise couldn`t fault Fishers performance and apart from a last place Hansen showed up well too, the rest of them not including Hans will have to improve if we are to win any trophies. -

Think this will be a big test for the Bees I think it will be apparent after this meeting whether the Bees are really up for it. . -
Yes I agree, don`t think there was any need for Risings reply just because he knows all about it he thinks nobody else should, WestGorton1884 was asking in a polite and proper manner

Just hope the appearence of Bomber doesn`t put the mockers on it, you would expect Bomber to be leading the way but who knows ?..otherwise Bees in with a good chance... -
Wards whiter than white he never crashes, he`s perfect in every way...

Thought it was a total waste of time, why do we have to go through all that happened last season we`ve seen it many times before, I think there was probably five minutes of interest in a one hour show and we`ll have to go through most of that again on Monday before we see the league match. don`t think anybody can truthfully say that it was a good show.
-
Don`t forget the three at Poole..
-
Nice little win there, lets hope its the start of things to come.
-
They made a mess of the track and shifted the blame onto Mick. They should have come straight out with it that they had made a mullock instead of letting Mick saddle all the blame
-
It seems that they`re accepting responsibility for the state of the track which they should have done in the first place. It will take a few meetings before anybody has any confidence in it standing upto the rain.
-
I`ve been here through good and bad and have given Mick my full backing from day one. I don`t just pop up everytime Mick appears to have egg on his face. No doubt in three years time and likely less all the Mick moaners will have nowt to complain about they`ll have to move on to some other poor devil. To say who needs fans like you to me must be the most humungus mis calculation of all time its totally the opposite . Its fans like you that the Bees can do without fair weather fans I think they`re called.

Leicester V Wolverhampton 29 March
Dornier replied to TMW's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Its the worst thing that could have happened and so early in the season, really hope its not too serious was looking forward to seeing him in the GPs ..Get well soon Tai... -
Don`t think Sandhu has any intentions of finding a new venue for the Bees, He`s known all along he was going to sell Brandon so if he was serious about it he would have had somewhere lined up beforehand.. Mick desperately needs a good season this time otherwise I think the fans will desert a sinking ship and it will be an early end to the Bees. The whole kit and kaboodle will transfer to Peterborough thats my opinion......
-
If I was `Had` I wouldn`t go to Brandon he must be chomping at the bit when he sees Mick....I have to feel sorry for the poor fella but hey he `Had` his chance to `have it out` with Mick...
