Speedway Star Toothless Pussycat
Dornier replied to robolots's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
To elaborate. I don`t think the Ward case was ever mentioned in the Star before it came to court, the first I saw of it in the Star was when it was all done and dusted in Wards favour . I might be wrong but thats what I believe. -

Haven`t bought the star for years and don`t intend to start now. Much of the content seems to be taken from press releases from the various clubs and I believe some of the journalistic reports are biased towards a certain club, thats just my opinion. -
Elite Riders Championship - 25/09/2014
Dornier replied to Woz01's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Agree with most on here. No Holders, Hancocks or Lindgrens they made their bed......I would prefer to see riders who want to race in Britain.. -

Its strange that Havelock has suddenly decided to announce he`s coming back, there must have been some sorting out to do behind the scenes perhaps he`s shook hands with Hans...
-
Imagine the enthusiasm he`ll have if he doesn`t get paid...

Just wondered do Badgers hibernate in the winter ?

Monday Monday reminds me of Wolverhampton speedway... it was at the top of the charts when I first went to Wolverhampton . I think it was their signature tune at that time....Probably went to see Tommy Roper doing one of his World Champ Qualifying rounds......

Think we`re waiting for Havvy`s contract to expire before announcing the new Team Manager...

Kennett will do ok at Brum, chances are that Drury will know what makes him tick....Kennetts good at looking as though he`s going to pass but never does....

Leicester 2014 . Elite

Apparently Kasprzak`s selling his UK van as he`s not doing the UK 2014..... -
Tai`s gating skills are better than Bombers but Bombers passing skills far exceed Woffy`s
-
Think Scott will have a better season riding alongside Zagar and Cook......Its looking quite promising for the Aces with three Kirky lane track specialists......Good luck to the Aces just a shame they`re not at the New arena....

Smart must feel really wanted at Poole....Ford certainly knows how to motivate em

I`ve just been reading some tweets on the subject of the bike show and I must say the people at Coventry, ( the Randles especially ) deserve a lot of credit for organising a stand at this event because they are not solely there for the good of Coventry Bees but for the good of the sport in general apparently handing out flyers with ALL league clubs listed on it along with a video screen showing racing...I was amazed to read that the BSPA have not shown any interest in this event, By the sound of it the stand is getting a lot of interesting visitors so again well done to the people at Coventry....

Wont he have retired by then ?

I would have Aaron back. Still think we`ve not seen the best of him, and if he was surrounded by a team of riders who can help him out and give him some encouragement I`m sure he would improve, I think he has a good attitude and comes over as a friendly chap and willing to learn. With Hans on board now I`m expecting a bit more team spirit which has been lacking in the pits for a few seasons now. All that remains to be said is that I`m Pumped and Stoked for the new season...

Would have thought that a NL rider who was flying in a meeting would be given an extra ride otherwise he may as well stay in the NL ..If they`re only going to ride against themselves they may as well do it in the NL...
-
I would have thought that the reserves will take on a similar position as always and that is that they can be put in to replace a 1 to 5 rider who is not performing, however I have read somewhere that should a 1 to 5 rider be injured early on in the meeting the rr rule will come into effect immediately and that riders remaining rides can be taken by other riders of a lesser average than the injured rider as per the usual rr rule
-
I think that regardlees of what the one to five riders do its going to depend a lot on these NL riders at six and seven. Its going to be gutting if the one to five score well and are then let down by the reserves. The NL riders may have an heavy burden on their shoulders....I have to admit I`ve not been to any NL meetings so I don`t have a clue about the standard they are, am just hoping our two will be a cut above the rest.....

No Chris Holder In 2014 In British League.
Dornier replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
With the NEW league set up we have now it will be near on impossible for Holder to get back into British Speedway. His only chance will be to replace Ward or another injured number one with a similar average.. He may reget the decision he has made and I suspect it wont be too far in the future when he does...
