  1. I've seen nearly every rider in the Premier/EL try and get away this at some point Gavan..but for people to single out Cookie because he is a very good trapper as a main offender grates after a bit to be honest..As for his career in general,he is the first to admit that his Elite season wasnt as good as he's hoped for but it happens sometimes in a riders career.I'm sure he'll have learned a lot and it will be good for him in the long run.Always learning and trying to improve is the mark of a good rider in my opinion and i think Cookies got that in him in spades..
  2. Ah..the Queen of the Anti-Monarchs puts in an appearance once again *bows royally and tugs forelock* i didnt think it'd be long before you put in an appearance your Madgeness You do seem rather obsessed with all things Blue & Gold TJ..aye jealousy is indeed a terrible thing right enough.Deep down i think you'd like a season ticket for our humble West Lothian home wouldnt you lol? Comets trophy winning days must seem like a long time ago now right enough..or correction winning anything this decade.. apart from the pairs that is Craig Cook knew when the time was right to leave and ride for a decent team at a decent track, and in the process has proved to be far better than any Comets #1 since and any other teams #1 in the past couple of years too come to think. His record and the hard work & dedication he put's in to his speedway speaks for itself..Cookie is indeed a fantastic gater as has been pointed out,but doesnt always have to rely on that to win races.Because of his success,it's cue all the crap that gets flung Cookies way..by folk like your good self..dear dear.Oh and my eyesight is 20/20 so no need for glasses thankfully Maaaammm.I hope your support for the Bitches in the KO Cup final has the same effect on our friends from Somerset by the way
  3. Usual guff from the usual suspect..dear dear.Zzzzzz If you're talking about rollers cheats etc..You should maybe look a bit closer to home Starman..like your Number 5 for instance?Oh and if anything, the referee should look out for the same idiot planting rders into the fence..he has past history after all.. Anyways let's hope it's a good fair hard fought contest and the Monarchs to do the Rebels over of course..bring it oan

    Anders Henrickson

Yep,that sounds like Mr Henriksen! One and the same..i wouldn't mind seeing that! i found this link..god bless google..i hope Stoney got his moneys worth lol..oh and it's Henriksen by the way Mr Angle.. http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/other-sport/england-rider-in-smallmead-bust-up-4274444

    Anders Henrickson

One of my memories of Anders is that he got on the wrong side of Monarchs captain Kenny McKinna at Armadale one night after an ill judged suicidal passing move went wrong..not a smart move as Kenny could give & take, but didn't suffer fools haha.. He wasn't a bad rider for Newport Wasps i recall in the late 90s (?),but was prone to the odd 'rushes of blood' lol..i can vaguely remember him clashing with Phil Morris also?He was a nice guy off track from what i remember too..a bit of a random post tbh,but there's a long winter ahead i guess..
  6. Totally meaningless match..just happy everyone got out unscathed I've no doubt Monarchs would have stepped up their game had it been an important fixture..fact Congrats to Workington on a very rare victory over the Blue & Gold..well you have to give a little something to those less fortunate sometimes don't you Reading through some postings,It's quite sad when some people on here would rather bask in someone elses glory & are wetting themselves over a potential Somerset victory next weekend but hey ho there ya go..bring on the Rabbles
  7. A fabulous and well deserved victory for the boys in Blue & Gold i'd almost forgotten what a K.O cup final win was like!!Whilst the outcome was never really in doubt, great credit must go the the Witches younger team members who really came and had a go.Even the not so young Hawkins had a mediocre meeting instead of his usual pish poor showing!! Cameron Heeps was the best visitor to Armadale for a long time, and showed other more experienced team members the way to attack the track..well done lad Well that's 2 down and one to go for the Mighty Monarchs of 2014..bring it oan you Rebels!!!!

Witches V Monarchs Kocup Final 1st Leg Thurs 16th Oct

Err..Monarchs have very rarely had the second leg of any competition semi or final in the past few years TaylorJ..so yet more guff directed towards our promotion that has no foundation..dearo.dear!!Aye,jealousy is an awfy thing right enough my Cumbrian friend.. things must be bad if you're backing the Bitches..
  10. i would agree with you there Mr Stewart..regardless of how the 2 finals ahead pan out,it's been a fantastic achievement by our TEAM this season..The emphasis is on the word team here, because we have a great bunch of lads with a great never say die attitude and a team spirit the likes i havnt seen before.. Well..the answer to that one then Mr Paulco is to pick a better team than us..simples!! We all start with the season with the same blank piece of paper, back of fag packet or whatever after all
  11. Pardon me Shadders..i thought you inferred in your post that you hated 'everything' about the Kingdom of The Monarchs? My sincere apologies if that was not the case, and i hope you are really enjoying your latest visit to our ever so humble home. Bandits going ok by the looks of it..
  12. The feeling is well mutual Shadders old bean.. Although how anyone that has Rye House as their home track can slag anybody elses track is way beyond me to be honest.I can't make this match sadly but let's hope it's a good one and Berwick do better and provide more entertainment than they did during their KO Cup humping..Wishing everyone a good and more importantly a safe meeting.. Go on the Blue & Gold
  13. I agree it does too..Believe it or not George i'm putting my Monarchs scarf away for a few moments and looking at it from a Speedway fans viewpoint!!
  14. I'm not trying to convince anybody and i doubt Edinburgh riders & fans are either.. just speaking as i find like you do..nothing odd about that is there Sparky? Berwick does have a nice stadium and by and large nice fans promotion etc but the product on offer is not something i would lash out my hard earned on every week as much as i love speedway but there ya go.Aye i do think we serve up bloody good racing at the Dale most of the time, because as i said,if it was otherwise i wouldnt go!Fair play to the Bandits diehards for going along to support their team every week..you have my respect, but you'll excuse me if i would decline a weekly visit..just saying
  15. Crowds have been very good at the Dale, and i have seen more than a few new faces so i dont really know where you're coming from on that one to be honest..We have our duff meetings there the same as most other tracks, but sometimes that depends whether the opposition have come to have a good go or not as the case may be.More often than not i would say,the racing is excellent..that's why i go believe it or not! As for obsessing about Berwick..nah lol!Was just passing comment on last night's meeting and the general standard of racing at Shielfield on a Berwick V Edinburgh thread..that's what this forums for is it not? Great news about both riders Now hopefully Matty can get married as was intended this weekend
  16. So let's get this straight WHB66..if we offer an opinion or dare to criticise the 'entertainment' on offer at Shielfield..we want the place to shut??Nah,sorry i don't get your logic there.Unfortunately the old chesnut about any speedway is better than none is fine for the old diehards, but if i was a newcomer to the sport and watched what was on show last night (and i have to say other times i've attended Shielfield ) i think i'd find somewhere else to spend my money i'm afraid.. My apologies if i'm 'prattling on' sir,but i'm just being honest that's all
  17. You think that..really?!Jeez you must be starved of what passes for good speedway then..
  18. I couldnt possibly tell you an answer to that on this super family friendly forum or what i really think of Matt & his Poole Pi-rats without using profanities..so i'll just say very politely..nut!Where the hell did you get that idea from anyway..just curious like?!
  19. I suppose you need to PC..we do try to help the needy and those less fortunate when we can..
  20. I didnt think it'd take long for our Weegie chums George & Mr Paulco to come out the woodwork and bask in someone elses glory..still it's been slim pickings for your lot for years now so pretty predictable really Well done to Berwick on their win in the end.Poor choice to put Cookie in gate one in Ht15 i thought, but our management get it right more often than not so we'll let them off this time.Have to say,and i keep on hoping the racing will improve at Shielfield, but FTG,FTG,FTG etc etc ad nauseum seems to be the norm whenever i've visited..honest question to my Bandit brother & sisters as a speedway fan..How the hell can you watch that guff every week?I'm sorry but four gadges going really fast with virtually no passing doesn't make it for me at all.Fair play for going, but the Berrington Polo Mint at least delivered exciting racing.Anyways all thoughts with Matty and Aaron (Fox not summers ya baloon Pearson ) Horrible spill and i hope both are ok.Cheers
  21. I've actually agreed with some posts you've made on here Gavan and sometimes i think there's some hope..and then you press the self destruct button in yir brain I'm up for a debate anytime sunshine, but i'll not tolerate what i feel are unfounded smears by yourself..like i'm a Poole fan or anything etc..that's a no no
  22. I've heard some right crap from you on here Gavan..but this is the 'best' yet!!Move along now and grow a pair sonny boy And talking of crap..see the post above this ^^ Jamlad's just got up oot his bed Where did i say anywhere that Monarchs would win the league or anything?!We're doing ok though lol,but i'd never take anything for granted.I'm not going to apologise for enjoying my clubs successes this season either, and neither would you ya choob. Jeez, you're some case Mister

    Newcastle 'v' Berwick 20-07-14

He certainly was HadrianDog!!I can vividly recall him trying to send Kenny McKinna the Monarchs captain on to the Bathgate Road at Armadale in 1998,only to miss him and end up planted into the fence himself! The crowd went nuts haha, and you knew that a dark star was born Priceless entertainment indeed. He hasn't mellowed much
  24. It's extremely sad (like nearly all the pish you spout on here Jamlad) that you have to bask in another teams success..You should have a wee listen to yourself some time.. Almost every Monarchs fan on here & Facebook etc have been very magnanimous in defeat and congratulated Peterborough on their deserved win,as i'll do just now..well done Panthers. It's a shame that some people on here and elsewhere aren't as magnanimous, but that's their problem. It was bound to happen at some point so fair play to Peterboro, but it is only one match. At the beginning of the season i'm sure we would have settled for remaining undefeated and 15 points clear going in to the last weeks of July. It's a fantastic achievement, and one that will take some beating. To hump your beloved Comets on friday to break the record, really was the icing on the cake. Dearo dear, reading through your posts,i've noticed that you seem to be a wee bit obsessed with Edinburgh Monarchs..your constant pops at Craig Cook are tiresome to say the least .. Aye jealousy is a terrible human trait right enough,, Bring the next 25 on!!
  25. Really hope Luke had a decent turnout for his big day..one of the sports genuine nice guys, who hasn't had the best of luck with injuries in his career
