No, if acting responsibly no you should not, and a poor non-excuse, it was your post that was childish and immature, nothing to do with Worrall, it was your language within your post that was childish and immature and for which there is NO excuse, doesn't matter who it is it applies to us all.

Two wrongs do not make a right. As I said in post #35 you've obviously never heard of being gracious in victory and your closing quip was full of spitefulness. The actions of a rider on track does not give licence to behave as a hot head and show hatred and spitefulness towards a club and its supporters and which behaviour on your part within post #34 was childish and immature. You should be man enough and decent enough to hold your hand up and admit so. If it were me then I certainly would, you should be decent enough to do so.

As I said before, I personally thought Workington did well. And best of luck for next season.

I think you're barking up the wrong tree there Mr Justere.. ;) Surprise result against the Possil Playboys, but fair play to the Comets.Lawson's really not much cop in the pressure heats again is he lol? I attended the Comets v Scunny match in August and was really alarmed by the lack of a crowd..i thought the track was better than it's ever been and the racing was good but compared to several visits in 1999 and early 00s the crowd was shocking compared to that  Really hope that the Comets come to the tapes next season :t:

  2. Seeing as we very rarely see you on here i am sure we can allow this indiscretion.

Hope your well mate been a while.

Cheers for that lol..Hope all's good with you anaw and you're enjoying life with Scotlands richest but inferior team.To be honest during the close season i thought my love affair with our wonderful but mucked up sport was coming to a close..bitter divorce etc etc haha. The changes that were made at at the annual conference nearly scunnered me.Just couldnt take many positives out of it at all..66% of riders here are doubling up ffs.I was told by a speedway statto.it's ridic really Gaz.For example as much as i like Aaron Summers he's raced at the Dale almost as much as he has at the Possil Gate & Go Palais! If i wanted to see him race so much i'd join you lot and indulge in the Buckfast & Champagne cocktails every Saturday :P I'm still going and enjoying it apart from the rarity of teams showing up at the Dale with their own actual riders..cruddy refereeing etc you know the usual haha..Hopefully speedway here gets it's act together with meaningful change for the better..as always we live in hope! For now i'm still stuck with the best but often very frustrating sport that is speedway :D

  3. Sounds like the track was awful

It wasnt..the way some of the riders rode it was unfortunately. The times were pretty fast for most of the meeting by riders on both sides and put's that one to bed.As was said the track was 'lively' but if it wasnt for the magic of Doc Bridgett and our track staff the meeting would have been off.Ben Barker got stuck in attacked the track scored the points he deserved..he was entertaining and didnt moan.Racing incidents caused most of the falls on both sides or in Eriks case his steel shoe came off.Was disappointed at Jason Garrity's withdrawal and i hope he isnt out for long..the move he tried was pretty typical of Jason sometimes..i.e extravagant!Personally i think this Monarchs team still have more to come which bodes well.I think if we can all just up our game that wee bit we'll be in with a shout at the business end.All in all an enjoyable enough evening for 3/4s of it though less when the stoppages kicked in obviously. We didnt have to moan our ** off like Mr Dick or bung Neil Vatcher a a brown envelope to get the points last night so..result :t:

  4. Roond yeezzzz :rofl::party:

As you can probably tell I'm really gutted for our friends in the west.

Woops 2 down 1 to go.

Well said Mr B :D On a serious note i really hope Coty Garcia is ok after his spill tonight..the laddie is a trier :t: Glad i'm not a betting man as i thought Sheffield looked under strength for this to be honest so it just shows you..oh well better luck next year you Stripes ;) All the best to Sheffield in the final..certainly no love lost between Monarchs and the Rebs (only when they ride against our friends from along the M8 obviously lol) ..Give it a right go and you never know..Hope it's a classic for all the fans..enjoy :t:

  5. Cheating the fans again Gaz..well lets face it you've pulled that one before and probably will again..June 2010 anyone?Oh dear!As i said you can put lippy on a pig but.. :P

Wondered how long it would take for a bite didn't think it would be you though.

Darn it you got me this time lol..i'm still in shock at James 'The Bionic Clutch Hand' Sarjeant scoring a race win at the Dale to be honest Gaz :D

  6. A set of unused track covers and a begging bowl.

George..speaking as someone who used to have genuine interest in seeing your posts that were mostly well measured and thought out, your constant references to 'begging bowls' when referring to my club are getting pretty monotonous..As monotonous as the racing through at the Ashfield Lipstick On A Pig Arena has been..no matter how much you dress it up and throw money at it it's still a porker i'm afraid. :P Glasgow fans are probably and quite rightly enjoying seeing the Monarchs having a comparatively mediocre season compared to recent years, but i wouldnt get too carried away if i was you.You can't win them all,but we'll be back.As i've pointed out before we are a very small town club with a pretty small catchment area who unfortunately were evicted from a beautiful stadium in a big city through no fault of our own.Despite that we have survived and achieved great success very much against the odds.We are very lucky to have an astute hard working promotion and can also count on masses of goodwill from directors and fans alike. We could have rolled over and died a few times but we cannot and have not let that happen. You seem to have a bloody short memory when it comes to your own club and it's difficulties on the financial side of things..newsflash it could happen again if and when the Facetious Brothers lose interest/money or decide to replace speedway with the biggest time consuming attraction at Ashfield currently..yes folks roll up for the thrills of All in Tractor Racing.. As for the match against Ipswich..massively dissapointed to be honest..it really looked at one point that we were on our way to an unlikely agg victory but we lost our way in 2 or 3 heats and that was that i'm afraid..the real damage was done at the Witches Coven..we had a mare for once and i'm sure the Foxhole Faithful enjoyed it and rightly so..bring it oan in 2017 and i'm sure normal service will be resumed.Best thing about last Friday for me was seeing Mark Riss bombing round the Dale..he probably wants the season to continue but he'll be very welcome back here and proved that it was the right decision to reluctantly drop Jye Ethridge. It was a shame also that another success story of 2016 young Dan Bewlay had to miss the last few matches as that lad is definitely going places in speedway..whether we would have bettered the Witches with him at #7 it's conjecture now though..

We are not your rivals now you have been knocked out everything.

It is for us it is just an inconvenience with far more important fixtures, plan is let them win big to lower our averages and get out the trick dome injury free.

Cheating the fans again Gaz..well lets face it you've pulled that one before and probably will again..June 2010 anyone?Oh dear!As i said you can put lippy on a pig but.. :P

  7. Won't have to listen to there constant criticism much longer, there season effectively finishes on Friday lol

So much pressure on Scotland's big club to try and keep the trophys north of the border this season after a disappointing season from the Monarchs.

I think Monarchs have actually put up a pretty good defence and a very respectable tilt at winning 3 aye thats 3 Premier League tiltles in a row..and to think you call us lot 'the smugs' lol oh yeah and may i point out without winning absolutely sod all as yet! :P As for being Scotlands 'Big Club' come back when you've overtaken us as the most succesful team of the Premier League era and maybe you'll have a point..and yeah we've done all that on a fraction of the dosh that Dick and Co have had to play with courtesy of Don Facenna.Inc.Having money doesnt guarantee you anything if you dont have the right blend of riders..it's a fantastic achievement to have won back to back titles considering we had to lose 2 of our best ever riders and then having no continuity of fixtures courtesy of the lovely summer up here in the East.Sometimes it goes for you sometimes it doesnt..we'll be back.No matter what Paulco and others may say though the cruddy weather does not help new riders bed in to a new track..wet dryish wet again etc etc..thats a fact.If and i say if you manage to win the PL this year or any trophies come to think you lot will find out how bloody difficult it is to put together a side capable of winning silverware regularly..we shall see.P.s we still havent abdicated as yet..i agree it will take a huge effort by our boys to overcome the Witches but it aint over till it's over..Mon the Monarchs :t:

The Begging Bowl's seen more daylight than the covers.

How soon you forget George....dear dear

You've got to have a chuckle at the mind of the average Monarch . There's been nine rain offs this season in the West Lothian rainforest and it's all " woe is us , we are the unluckiest club with rain offs since rain was introduced to these parts as a way to water the flowers " .

While over in the civilised west we've had two rain offs and it's " the buggers are at it , tactical rain off , they must have injuries and haven't tried to get the meeting on " .

Yes it's a very paranoid place the mind of your average Monarch haha

I have it on good authority that there were record sales of Sunglasses in Possil last weekend..hmm that does sound all too familiar lol.. B):D

  8. Won this battle but lost the War. Good to see some speedway tho and a great crowd.

Poor meeting racing wise apart from Dan playing with Danny in a couple races . But close score kept it interesting.

Glasgow played it well and knew what had to be done, nothing silly and keep the points ticking over.

Let's get a Scottish name back on that trophy.

Like the Tigers would be cheering us on to get a Scottish name on the trophy?Sorry dont get that CJ..have you been nobbled by Don Facenna?Tiggers facebook was a revelation last night 'We beat the Scumbags' and other pearls..aye very good

  9. Dave isn't it time you moved on? Porsing was crap and got the sack. You seem obsessed with everything Peterborough do even though it's got sod all to do with you.

And there was me thinking it was a Speedway Forum..So someone outside the hallowed EOES isnt allowed an opinion on your club god forbid if he doesnt agree with you..aye ok..I think you dont understand what a forum is poodles..On the revolving door that is Peterborough Panther at the moment..it's all becoming a joke really..Davey Watt and Rory Schlein to name 2 were denied the opportunity to race in the Premier League but wee Kenny Bjerre from the Danish World Cup Team can ride PL apparently on some cobbled together 8.22 average? As i said the sport is fast becoming a joke..and about as funny as a fire at an orphanage to be honest..Oh dear

  10. M Davey can not take the place of Dan Bewley, first instance is that a PL club will have priority over a NL club so Bewley should have been riding for Edinburgh, secondly M Davey has had an average over 4 at some point in his career, 4.23 I believe?

Edinburgh probably didn't check with the bspa for approval, but there pretty shrewd guys in the east normally, this time however they have broke the rules ,

An Aussie riding in a spot meant for British youngsters, no, not on I'm afraid !!!

Do keep up Pogo1..Mitchell Davey is now a British Citizen so it is on im afraid!!!!!

  11. lol, they didn't pump the money in to keep them afloat, they put the money in to make them the better team in Scotland

I can't wait to pump the monarchs.

Aye..in yir dreams..have you pair been on the Buckfast cocktails again?Dear dear..it'll take more than the Possil Park Corleone clan's filthy lucre to make that happen!Glasgow always seem to win one trophy every year..and that's the 'Looks Strong on Paper' trophy in March..followed by i'm sick o seeing that Blue & Gold lot on the Allied Clapped Oot vans Victory laps come October.. Bring it oan you stripes :)

  12. I'm not in favour of any fast track 'draft' system or forcing teams to track a 3 point rider in your team.Personally i think if you're good enough you'll make it on merit.i feel this years kneejerk edict from the AGM will no doubt be open to abuse by the financially better off clubs who'll throw silly money at a youngster.. Don't get me wrong it's always good seeing say a local rider given a chance in your team and improving, but teams should be allowed to compile their 1-7 within the agreed 42.5 limit with whoever they choose regardless of where they come from.. As a fan i couldnt really care where a rider is from as long as they are good enough..I wish i could say that this is a great idea and will be beneficial to our sport, but i'm totally against this whole draft scenario in the Premier League full stop..

  13.

You say: "Usual guff" in reference to my post. My post made reasoned points and you should not be so ill mannered, discourteous and insulting as to refer to my reasoned points in such manner.

Instead your post as quoted above is full of vitriol and which I find vulgar. It appears you have never heard of the saying "magnanimous in victory". Instead your post is full of derisory insulting language e,g, "Slashfield" and which is rather churlish, uncouth and unbecoming, then going on to be full of self-proclaimed boasting and yob-like behaviour including other juvenile yob-like acronyms as "GIRUYT". What age are you twelve? All rather unseemly and every such post that is made and yob-like proclamation such as your post quoted above devalues the achievement of winning a league title and you lose the respect of others. And it was not at all "spot on" as you errantly put it, you are well wide of the mark and you clearly know nothing about me.

It also appears that you overlook that I originally mentioned a foul-mouthed Edinburgh fan at Armadale on Saturday whose behaviour was aggressive, using foul mouthed language, inciteful and deliberately intimidating to innocent bystanders. I then only answered the points of another poster and which I did in good faith.

If you wish to behave in a juvenile-like and yob-like manner then kindly do not involve me. Thank you.

I humbly apoligize Sir..the usual guff i was referring to was the guff from the Glasgow promotion more than your 'well reasoned guff' per se..nowt personal really..Although i will say towards you politely..get a bloody sense of humour or put me on ignore..i couldnt really care tbh.. I'm, sure if shock horror Glasgow had won us Monarchs would have 'got it tight' on here and rightly so but in a good natured bantering sort of way because thats how i roll too..Glasgow fans and others call Armadale Armadump but i dont start boo-hooing about it..life is short..have a laugh or whats the bloody point? Those that know me know i'm not 'yobbish' at all..how you choose to interpret my post is your affair..thank you :t:

  14. The timing of the letter was as good as it could have been. Glasgow could have handed it out at the beginning of the meeting or even printed it in the match programme. It was after all our last time at Ashfield until March. The only other alternative was to publish it on the club website at some point.

The nature of the letter or more appropriately information leaflet being printed and not being in the programme suggests that it all unfolded immediately before Fridays meeting. Perhaps an agreement had been reached that was then reneged on. The tone of the letter suggests frustration with the whole situation. I doubt anyone would resort to putting it in the public domain at the first instance of difficulty.

The other side of this is that Edinburgh have the right to reply. They are not slow in coming forward when they perceive they have been wronged or another party has not acted with the integrity they see themselves as having. To date they have made no comment. That may be due to the promoters AGM taking place or that the directors have yet to discuss this latest situation, or just maybe the Glasgow information leaflet hit the nail on the head and no one is available for comment. Imagine the Edinburgh PRO remaining silent!

They've had to be taken to a safe house for fear of waking and finding a Horses head in their bed (or even worse Ed the Monarchs napper) lol..that's what happens when apparently 'you've upset the Mobs plans for World Domination' .. :P

  15. Losing Aaron was too much he only rode in one race and scored 3 points in his second he was involved in a horrific crash. The effort after that from the rest of the boys showed true spirit to have a lead for second leg. I think edinburgh know that they only won due to our captain being injured. They weren't the best over two legs. We chose a guest who the night before was down scunny at the awards ceremony probably getting rubbered and it showed in his performance at armadale. So well done cookie and co on your title.

    What council thing damosuzuki?

Aye right dream on Baba..were you hitting the Buckfast Cocktails early..dearo dear.. :nono: Even with Spud..who is still very much liked at Armadale by the way..it wouldnt have stopped the Peugeot Weegie Wagon sinking..NEWSFLASH>>The best team won over the two legs and over the whole season..get over it lol.. :D

  16. Doesn't read very neutral to me.

You got that one spot on..could have been penned in Possil.Usual guff i'm afraid ..it seems that a fair percentage of the West Coast lot are trying to paint the Monarchs as bullies in all this..laughable!That letter handed out on friday is a pure spit oot the dummy moment. The Glasgow Nostra Promotion have done wonderful things to the new improved Slashfield stadium and must be applauded for that...but it seems they've not learned from previous promotions stunts..June 2010 for example..This blatant mass pisstake quite rightly scunnered many Monarchs fans like myself who previously were more than happy to attend Ashfield. Not only that it ripped the pish out of their their own supporters..But no instead of trying to mend fences with us and herald 'a new beginning for Scottish speedway' it appears they've declared war..oh dear.. From what i understand an offer was made to discuss this whole matter after the dust had settled on the Grand Final..but no they had to pre-empt that and hand out this piece of crap.. I hope things can be worked out but the way things have gone so far i won't hold my breath!Anyways..who won the Grand Final????Oh aye it was the men in Blue & Gold :drink: What a night and what a fantastic achievement by the Mighty Monarchs to win back to back to back titles..to say i feel proud would be an understatement! The best team over the season won thankfully.5 (yes 5 ) titles in 12 years is fantastic, especially when you sadly have to dismantle your winning team..big respect to our promotion and everyone involved behind the scene to achieve this without having the dosh of say..the Possil Park Galacticos lol.. ;):approve: However, none of this extra curricular guff coming from the West can take the gloss off this..superb! GIRUYT :D Hope everyone has a fantastic close season..i may pop up from time to time if anything comes of interest during the methanol withdrawal season..have a good one my friends :t:

  17. It would need to be drink faster and numb the pain.

Indeed..i hope the Buckfast didnt run out in the bar for you,George and Mr Paulco tonight (if he was there that is..i await his post match/mortem with much interest ;) ) What can i say..the boys in Blue & Gold were absolutely fantastic tonight..and the Red & White lot were melted :D Tigers riders seemed a wee bit shellshocked after the meeting in the pits,..felt like saying 'cheer up ..it could have been worse' ..which to be truthful it could have! :P I really loved seeing a big crowd at the Dale tonight and hope there is a fair sized crowd for the return at the new improved Midden on sunday.I'm sure our boys arent complacent..despite tonight (i'm certainly not) and we go and attack them right from the start the way we did tonight..bring it oan :t: Just read back..sorry you werent there Gaz,you would have loved it lol..though i'm sure the people who run the bar would have appreciated their record profits :drink:

  18. Touch a nerve there it's not the first time he has made a complete a*rse off himself on social media and i am sure it won't be his last.

And Your view above is what you believe fair enough but can you blame people on criticising as he certainly gives people plenty off ammunition with his crass comments

Talented rider and class on track no doubt about it but class off the track well he has none.

Touch a nerve?Nah..You just never waste any time in wading into Edinburgh Monarchs Gaz..and i dont really see how you can justify it in your post on this topic/thread to be honest. All must be rosy in the Weegie garden huh Faither Superior? As for rants about Cookie..well,what did he actually say that was wrong on twitter?Ian Rae is the one lacking in class here surely? After a difficult end of season in Craigs first year with us,which was down to heavy goings on in his personal life,he has not only been brilliant on the track, but also brilliant with the fans and always has time for them and never refuses photos autographs etc.I feel he has been a very good ambassador for our club indeed.True he had a public spat with Ben Barker and toilet heater (not the first and probably not the last rider to do so in Ben's case),but then even St Greg Hancock himself has a 'tipping point' and it's part of the sport after all.Nobodies perfect..to be honest..i dont really know what else you base this 'having no class' cobblers on?Ps By the way,did any good speedway racing break out at Shielfield last night? ;)

  19. Why Cook feels the need to publicly slate another club is beyond me really doesn't do himself any favours whatsoever, It wasn't that long ago he made comment about a Glasgow junior which he rightfully got slaughtered for and rightfully so.

But thinking about it if Cook had more that 2 brain cells think about how dangerous he could be on social media.

What is Hilarious is slating any track when he rides at Armadale.

Berwick do not have there problems to seek at the moment and don't need the likes off Cook rubbing there noses in it i really hope thing's go to plan and the Bandits can come out the other end, As a Glasgow fan i can relate to how the uncertainty must be affecting them as we have had it on a few occasions.

But Cook must remember this Edinburgh have had the begging bowl out for the last couple off seasons and if they didn't run next season he would have piss*d that many people off at premier league level that many may decide that he isn't worth the hassle if he was still wanting to ride this level.

Who would've thought it eh..you and several others plus the usual bitter Workington fans..any old excuse to take pot shots at Craig and then wade into Edinburgh who werent even bloody racing last night while you were at it?The guy cant even comment and speak his mind about the track and other riders safety..He didnt verbally abuse people on twitter,or do anything wrong, only give his opinion and yet the pitchfork brigade come out with same old guff about Craig and deconstruct his career etc etc blah blah..it's about time some of you put another friggin' record on.Do you all condone the abuse Ian Rae said in his reply on twitter or question his amount of brain cells?Nah not from what i've seen  pretty much says it all..

  20. So proud of the Blue & Gold heroes tonight..we were magnificent!Heat 13 with Cookie & Erik was different class.A fantastic example of team riding by Cookie to see off anything Josh and Brady could throw at him..superb.Kaiser and Justin were great too but a special mention to young Erik Riss who really showed his class and potential tonight..vorsprung durch technik! :D 12 points in three tough away matches..Get in the Monarchs
