Cardiff - quality service
jronayne replied to Star Lady's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The posters for this years GP where excellent, well at least thats what i thought!! My favourite was the one with the rider on his ar$e and the heading '0-60 in *so many seconds (cant remember)* 60-0 in however long it takes'!!! I thought that was brilliant! Anyway glad you had a good time Star Lady and well done Millenium Stadium peeps!! James -

British GP - An honest opinion
jronayne replied to ezekiel's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well -lovely weather -Good Atmosphere (not as good as 2002) -Racing was 'Pants' imo. Only Karlsson & Sullivan did anything to excite me. - One good thing to come out of the meeting was i'm a huge Scotty Nicholls fan now. He was superb, he was an great role model for Bomber, Steady & David!! -The programme was terrible. £6 and i think i've found at least five mistakes and i haven't read it properly yet!! The funniest one being Lee Richardson's profile. Married: Engaged Children: No Turn 19pages and there's Lee, with his Girlfriend and 2 yr old Joshua For that price they could at least proof read it!! Nice one Nicki
jronayne replied to Kinky Knight's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well Done Nicki, nice to see your *ahem* 'Groin strain' didn't hamper your progrees throughout the meeting. Unluckiest man of the night: Scott Nicholls Poor bloke continued his season of carrying every Ipswich fans hopes, by having to carry 50,000 British fans hopes last night. Scotty gets a great start in his race, then 'Lucky' Ricko goes and falls gets AJ excluded and Scotty has to do it again only this time he tries to hard and takes Nicki out. :-( Nice to see Bomber and Steady beat Gollob last night. I feel sorry for poor old Bomber, if it wasn't for that bloody track could have seen an interesting race between him, Howey and Ronni. 1. Trick - lucky to get to the final after 'that' eliminator, ref should get his rule book out me thinks. 2. Crumpy - I thought he was going to win it with him getting 'Gate Blue' 3. Sullivan - Pants, couldn't gate and was miles off when at the back. 4. Adams - Consistnet as ever 5. Max - Well below his usual standards 6. Hancock - Battled well throughout the night and had 'Gate Blue' when it mattered in the eliminators/semis 7. Gollob- rightly excluded in my opinion though i think the fans had a part in the ref's decision 10. Dryml- battled away but didn't get much for his effort 11. Holta - Another solid performance 12. Some good racing and got a well deserved win 13. Scotty - My man of the night for keeping the british hopes alive for so long. Long Live King Scotty 14. AJ - The speed swede. Unlucky to get eliminated because Posselwhite bottled it when it came to excluding the World Champ. 15. Toddy - Some great racing from this guy. A good send off from the fans too. Enjoy retirement Todd! 17. Richardson - Dissapointed to go out so early on a track he did well on last year 18. Brhel - poor 19. Pepe - starting to put in some good performances, lucky to go through one of the eliminators as the track caused one of the other riders to 'lose it' 20. Pedersen - Unlucky that ht 12 was stopped after being in one of the positions to go through 21. Bajerski- impressed me with two heat wins, tailed off thought before being eliminated 22. Lyons - Off the pace 23. Howe - gave it his all but with no reward. 24. Steady - Great 1st race before being eliminated 26. PK - produced the race of the night in my opinion with his win in ht8 (i think!!) 27. Ronni Pedersen - Performed better than i expected with some good 'team' riding with bruv Nicki in ht12 31. Bomber - Fantastic for him to beat Gollob and i'll never know how he would have gotten on had it not been for that 'woeful' track. The Millenium Stadium is a great venue for the GP, with a good day out for all concerned, but if its good quality speedway your after it won't be found on a one-off track with 'Gate blue' playing a significant part in the nights proceedings. A question for you all. Q. How can the World Championship be decided by being lucky when it comes to chosing a ball out of a bag (or whatever they do). Surely everyone should be on an even level (or as even as you can get it with people like Ricko splashing the cash on machinery and people like Lyons who admitted he cant afford to do a Ricko) PS. thanks to everyone who contributed with your airhorns for the atmosphere even if i still have a terrible headache :-( -

Crumpie's like Marmite though you either love him or you hate him!! Ralf Schmacher swore on the F1 the other day, i know he said sorry and all that but does that make him any better than Crumpie??

Zetters tell Zorro to get over her and ride for The Panthers BLC team. We could do with some entertainment! I was actually dissapointed he didn't get into our lineup for the league. He's a fans favourite down at Alwalton! Must of been his 'difficult average' Back to the main topic. Greg get well soon mate and get back into the EL asap, it just ain't the same without you!

Loram out of Swedish GP
jronayne replied to Robbie B's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think Mark's done the right thing. Saw him at the Showground after Monday's match and he looked really low on confidence and seemed to struggle round the bends, and that was without any other riders on the track. Get well soon Mark -
announced wildcards for cardiff..
jronayne replied to bomberzbabe's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Knowing Steady & his injuries record, he'll probably get injured before then. I hope not though as no one likes to see riders injured. I have to agree though the Bomber should be in there, because i think he'd give the GP boys a run for their money, remebering a few races with Nicki Pedersen & Tony Rickardsson over the last two years, and a certain Mr. Crump on his own patch (well no-one except a fit Sully rides 'boro like Crumpy!) Keep it up Bomber your time will come!! Chris 'Bomber' Harris - Britain's Next World Champion!! ps. If Loramski doesn't ride, who'll get his spot :?: Mr.Harris, i hope! -
