It's been confirmed by his Father on Facebook that former Workington, King's Lynn, IoW and Peterborough rider Tony Dart has sadly passed away. Tony suffered horrendous injuries in 2001 but still managed a track return with substantial metal in his right leg. He eventually had it amputated and, even then, manged to continue racing sidecars. RIP Tony

Ah, the hypocrite Murray Walker. Some years ago, the Wimborne grasstrack club were seeking a new venue and were offered land somewhere near Fordingbridge. The village locals were having none of it and one of the most vociferous opponents was one M.Walker - yes, the very same. -
That is a beautiful JAP, what speedway bikes still should look and sound like! You look to be taller than the average rider but still really stylish. Also, is that a 22" rear wheel?

My wife goes daily to buy a local newspaper. There is no-one who delivers it so it's the only option. -

I'm from Southampton and that's news to me! -
As they are self-employed, how long can riders go without being paid, especially the journeymen?

A team that more accurately reflects the age of its fanbase. -
Also Karl Fiala with his camera.

An ex-rider told me that everything is rosy when it is all still second nature. When it isn't, when the thinking starts to pre-dominate then it's time to quit. The latter happens with age and Crumpy is 44. Will certainly be an interesting watch.

Yes, not the most exciting rider but neither was Fundin. However, anyone who wins 4 World Titles cannot be regarded as anything other than a legend. -
Yes I do. I've used it to watch all SGPs without issue since the inception of the channel.
-
I see a few references to the M25 as an issue. Being unfamiliar with that area, are there really no feasible alternative routes?
-
No need to pay if using a PC, I just use the Opera browser which has a built-in VPN.
-
It is if you use a VPN.

Better than that, they are streamed live in HD on the official SGP channel.

Interesting. When did 4 laps become the standard?

My mistake, I misread it as the northern teams not being used to the travel. I can't even blame Christmas excess either, just a senior moment.
-
Tripe - they would have visited Somerset and Plymouth within the last few seasons.

Kirkmanshulme Lane Stadium to be demolished
Sotonian replied to Garry1603's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
In what way is it iconic? It's hardly Wembley, just a run-of-the-mill small stadium well past its best. -
So, if Lees has a valid claim to have invented foot-forward, is it clear who invented leg-trailing? My recollection is that it was the American Maldwyn Jones with Eddie Brinck also in the frame.
