    Witches v Lynn May 6th 2.15pm

I'm hoping forecast is right and this gets rained off. I'm away this weekend so hopefully me and Tobi are OK for the rearranged date

    Stars v Brummies 2/5

After initial enthusiasm that we had a decent team this year, definitely feels like a typical season again Not convinced on those guests, but does need to be guests instead of R/R. I'd be on the phone to Robert Lambert for an injury replacement spell....

    Stars v Brummies 2/5

A win, hurrah. Hope Toby and Milik OK. Tobi landed very awkwardly. What a display by Patryk. MPT still the weak link and Ben had a poor night. Good to see NKI's riding well and decent score from Klindt. Anders was in the mix too For brum I was impressed with Brennan. Seems to have taken another step up this season On the negative side, what idiot changed the car park exit to the back road. Took a good 10-15 mins extra and with A47 roadworks towards norwich, finally got home at 11.30!

    Stars v Brummies 2/5

Ought to be able to win by more than 2. Be disappointed not to get 50. Milik at reserve could make a huge difference though
  5. Definitely pleased to have Klindt back, but definitely still a rider short of a top 4 team. I was doubting Niels, but after his performance last week at Oxford, think he will do a decent job for us - leaves MPT / Patryk who I'm not convinced with.....one would be ok, but not both....
  6. Watched the live feed last night. Decent shift from the stars. Couldn't work out how tofty looked really quick in 2 races and really pants in his other two. Patryk looked better, but not quick enough. Anders was always in the mix and a bit unlucky not to get more. Schlien on commentry talked as if he knew we'd got another change coming and it would make us top 4 material Being a stars fan I thought Wright tried to turn back to inside to block niels....so should have been excluded
  7. Probably lack of riders Monday. NKI and Basso still ruled out and Tarasenko potentially withholding services. That's a lot of guests or r/r and not many options I suspect
  8. definitely stronger with lawson imo, so lets hope the UK rules prevent PUK riding....
  9. Now on Ebay.....having a bit of a clear out.... including postage works out at about 30p a programme....bargain.... 230 Speedway Programmes - Kings Lynn - Ipswich - Mildenhall | eBay
  10. Lawson and Basso give us a fighting chance, will be close, but struggling to see past a Sheffield win again.... aargh

    Ipswich vs Oxford 18th April

I couldn't possibly comment on the ineptitude of the Oxford team manager....
  12. I know it's early doors, but I'd be very tempted to bring in Klindt. If he produced his form of last season he would definitely improve our top 4 chances. I got the impression he was a good team man to have around the pits as well. I was disappointed when he went to Oxford. That's no disrespect to NKI, but as others have said, he is getting to the wrong end of his career and I rather remember his earlier years for the club

    Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024

The meeting moved along at a good pace, but I apologise for heat 15. All my fault as I said to my mate we'd done well to get to heat 15 by 9.10pm after delayed start. Cue a fall and two false starts!

    Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024

It was a real shame we lost Leicester and Brum due to weather. Those two 'easier' matches would have sharpened us up before BV and Sheffield matches and may well have meant we would have beaten BV the other night

    Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024

Spot on, that's my concern too and with several newbies in the team we've not yet had the chance to ride as a team at home yet. A very stiff test. If we can pull this one off it augers well for the rest of the season, but its only going to be a few points either way

Birmingham v Oxford Mon 1st April PL

Peter Schroek was never the sharpest team manager at Kings Lynn, was glad to see the back of him, sounds like he ain't improved
  17. He might need a spare pit gate, some forecasts suggesting 50mph winds tomorrow evening....metcheck is somewhat calmer so hope thats the correct one!
  18. Totally agree or the atmosphere is likely to be flat as a pancake We had a chap on the mic a few seasons back, very lively but knew sweet fa about speedway. With a bit longer behind the mic he'd have developed a bit of speedway knowledge and been decent at the job
  19. Simon Lambert for me too - he'll be back as soon as we pick up an injury in the team. We've had enough injuries for various riders over the years, probably more than our fair share..
  20. Has Robert Lambert ruled himself out of full time return? Not sure if he is still on his low average or got a new one at end of season..
  21. Stars must be one the few teams Harris has never actually been a bonafide team member
  22. kelvinht

    Kings Lynn 2023

Agreed, does seem like a good bloke, but makes Richie Hawkins look like a genius team manager...
  23. Klindt would have to be in there for me as second heat leader and probably captain...
  24. kelvinht

    Kings Lynn 2023

Would be a decent side. Works for me Any team needs to start with Klindt/S Lambert/Rowe - plus a decent no. 1 - ideally R Lambert and build from there. No one else from the current team really deserves another shot in the team. Suspect we might see more from Breum - he looked pretty decent in a couple of matches but pants in the rest - so assume maybe carrying an injury - that said for a similar average Ben Cook would be a much better option
  25. Can Tarasenko guest for Klindt and use the r/r for jorgensen? Won't make a lot of difference to the overall result. Belle Vue will still turn us over - just hope for some good racing
